Really excellent indian food and great staff. The sizzing chicken shashlik was tops! The lady serving us was so friendly and helpful!! The chef came out to check in with us too. Would definitely pop in again 😊

Great food reasonable prices very friendly staff

My husband and I came here for dinner after reading the reviews. On entering there were 2 girls behind the desk, one was stuffing her face and food was coming out of her mouth when we were asking for a table (this should have been our first sign). We were told to sit anywhere as the place was completely empty (maybe this should have been the second sign). We were given our menus and hadn't even got them opened yet when the girl says "do you want popodums", we reply yes please and then started to look at the menu. We had starters and main courses. The starters were terrible, the tandoori chicken leg that came out was not very appetising and it was cold in the middle, it had also been partically heated up in the microwave as you could hear the dings going off before they brought the food. Everything was very rushed even though there was no one else in. We hadn't even finished our popodums when the starters were set down. The main course I have no queries with as it was actually very nice. The girl who served us also sniffed the whole way through our meal which was a bit off putting. When we went to pay the bill the man who obviously owns it took our bill and then added on another £7.50 onto it without even telling us what for, we paid as my husband just wanted to get out, but when adding up in our heads what we ordered we had been overcharged or they haven't updated there menu which is a bit on the sly side, raging we left a tip as well even though the service was terrible.

Very good resraurant with great service. Everything near perfect except for the fact that large groups aren't allowed to break up the bill. Only one person can pay. A little inconvenient if you don't carry much cash, as so many don't today.

My fiancé is from Armagh which is how I found this restaurant. We’ve been several times over the last few years. The restaurant itself isn’t exactly stunning inside, but that’s what I like about it. People don’t go here for the surroundings. They go for the incredibly good Indian food. We’ve eaten at many different Indian restaurants (more than I could count) but, when I say this I mean it - Armagh Indian Nights is the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. The quality of the food is unrivalled. Portions are very generous and are very competitively priced. My favourite from here is the Chicken Tikka Chilli masala. Visit here - you won’t be disappointed.

Meal was excellent. Four other tables. Enjoyed the food, drinks and of course the company. Certainly recommend it.

Called in this evening and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. Fantastic food, great value and five star service. Midweek offer was astounding value and every dish ordered by our family of 4 was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!

Do a daily evening offer called beat the clock which is great value . It runs from. 5 o'clock to 7 . Consists of papadoums main dish any rice and choice of either chips or naan for 8.95 . Food quality is good as well

Had a meal here tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. The waitress who served us was extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable about all dishes on the menu. This is an uderstated restaurant but the staff and quality of food more than make up for this. Well done.

We had never visited here in 4 years of living in Armagh until we decided on a change and have never looked back! On weekends it’s pretty much rocking and there is a fell of days gone by: the decor is refreshingly probably unchanged for years and that’s fine with us! There is always a warm welcome by the staff who are a gem, and the food is just great. We have been here around 8 times, always ask the poor waiter what particular dishes are and he has the time and patience of a really decent friendly waiter, always happy to help. All staff are attentive and friendly. The choice of menu is immense: there are a lot of dishes I have never heard of and will never be disappointed at a new taste. Bring your own beer and wine helps wash it all down. If you went to Belfast you would pay twice the price than you would here. It’s a gem in our doorstep and long may it run!!

Ate here tonight and was very impressed! Food was really nice, the waitress was manning the fort by herself when we initially went in, organising the takeaway and restaurant by herself and she maintained a pleasant and professional demeanour throughout! Thoroughly recommend!

In my opinion the best Indian restaurant that Armagh has ever had. Really quite good. If you're in doubt about what to order, ask the very helpful Amy, who really knows her stuff!

Excellent Indian, Balti dishes are beautiful, full of flavour and soo tasty. My favourite Indian for Balti in Northern Ireland and ive been to quite a few!

I went here after reading previous reviews and wasn’t disappointed. The server was friendly and attentive, food was good and reasonably priced too. I was warned when I ordered that the Chicken Tikka Masala was sweet and it was; probably the sweetest I’ve tasted. Would recommend.

Fantastic value Sunday night menu £10.95 for poppadoms, starter, main and side. Three specials were more than enough for 2 adults and 3 kids including 2 hungry teenage boys! Food was good, the chicken dansak was a stand-out. Owner and staff very welcoming and friendly. Definitely the best Indian in Armagh. Thank you, we will be back!

Popped in for 10.95 special 4 course on a cold wet Wednesday night. Place was quite busy. I started with the poppadom with dips. Bit miserly one only and dips ok but to a budget. Mixed starter came with poppadom. Plate was cold and by time I ate poppadom it was mostly cold. Consisted of chicken tikka,battered chicken,onion baggee,wee bit of salad. Again for budget menu ok but coldish. My main was lamb pathia and peshwari nan. It was Very very slower to appear. Around 20 minutes. Others seemed to be served before me,yet came in later. Bit annoying. Lamb pathia at last,but no peshwari nan. Another 5 minute wait. Curry and nan when it came was nice. I counted around 30 people passed through in my time.nThey seemed to operate a dual policy of bring your own bottle or order on premises. Strange! Anyway it was ok and reasonable value. Will be back sometime.

Excellent as always, best balti in northern Ireland!

Not the most modern decor...however the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, the food is reasonably priced and damn tasty also . What more does one need?

My husband and I have been to quite a lot of Indians around Northern Ireland and the UK and this has been by far our favourite. We went last night with our 2 kids.The staff were fantastic. Well mannered, friendly, informative and made us feel at home. There was quite a lot of dishes on the menu that I had never heard of but the girl working recommended the Reezla as it was her favourite. So I tried it and it was amazing . My husband had the Khari and it was sooooo tastey too.All round great night & highly recommend.

I am a fan of Indian food and this place never fails to produce great dishes. The are many choices on the menu and everything is cooked fresh to order. The only complaint is that I can never finish the meal, but they are happy to pack it up for you. The staff here are great. Service is excellent and they are always on hand to make suggestions. Highly recommend.

We have always had nice meals from this restaurant. We had takeaway on NYE and the food was excellent. The restaurant wasn't busy but the takeaway part was busy. The food was as always- excellent. The staff are always friendly and chatty.

My family and I are big lovers of Indian. We have tried many in Northern Ireland and in England, but this is by far the best. Food is always piping hot, great flavours and the service is always excellent. Cant fault anything, and we are all fussy eaters.

Great food, big enough mains portions, side portions a bit smaller then often which I thought was good so you can all decide what you want with it without having way too much. Not a bad atmosphere at all, for an Indian...

Couldn't fault this place. I have sat in to eat and had take aways too. Good price. Nice staff that will give suggestions if first time here! Keep up the good work i will be back for sure.

A very good place for a meal great staff and great food

This is what I would class as a average Indian restaurant. It was clean. Staff pleasant and efficient. All the food I had was ok and the portion sizes were good. A little disappointing that there was no lager other than bottles but it’s a eating place not a pub. The food prices were also competitive.

Dirty walls, lots of crushed poppudums underfoot, garish decor. 2 course meal for a tenner was good value and main dish tasted very good with friendly courteous staff but eating out is as much about the environment as it is about the food for me!

came here last night with my family to celebrate birthdays. So glad I chose here. from we went in until we left the service provided was excellent. The girl definitely knew what she was talking about. The food was fab I had the Naga Chicken which was yummy very spicy I knew It would be, all other dishes were amazing as well. We had a selection of starters between us , selection of bread, rice and chips more than enough for the 6 of us, the girl had told us we would have plenty and w sure did. At the end of the meal we got a complimentary Sambuca I have been to several Indian restaurants both here, England, Spain and France and this one tops the lot. definitely highly recommend it

We either sit in or get a take away every 2 weeks as a special meal. The service is excellent and the food is to die for no matter what you order. We always go for the 4 course special as it great value

Had a meal here this evening, was absolutely excellent. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was top notch. You can bring your own wine/beer but we didnt realise this -thankfully they are also licensed! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and when it came time to pay the bill we couldnt believe how reasonable it was. We would definitely eat here again and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Dont be put off by the modest frontage-this is a great restaurant!

Esta experiencia sólo restaurante indio era realmente increíble. Especialmente enorme gracias por más amable que sirve chicos super bien, y fue muy servicial en todo momento. Que advertían que platos especiales es mejor y ellos también. Y una cosa fundamental es que puede traer su propia bebida:) que es una joya:) para vasos pagará un cargo poco, creo que 50 p por un vaso de cerveza, y £1 por un vino. Muy recomendable para todo el mundo.

This was really very pleasant and I reckon that it represented good value. Visited for a quick meal out when the children were with their granny, so we were in a good mood to start with and this may colour my review, just a bit!We were served promptly, the server was polite and pleasant and responded quickly when we sought assistance. The food was basic UK Indian restaurant fare, it was what you would expect from a place in this price range in terms of quality and there was a very great deal of it, which was good since we were both just home from work and wanted something substantial. We ate two courses, didn't even try the sweets - standard Indian restaurant stuff from what I could see on the menu.The surroundings were fine, you couldn't honestly call them luxurious but what do you want in this price range? They appeared to be clean, which is what I want most in any case.We went home happy.

The waitress and other staff are very friendly, always make us feel welcome. Food is delicious and inexpensive. Best rogan josh in town. Just love it :)

I was recently here. I love the place the food and service is exellent!!!!! Really if you want a tasty meal for £9.95 per person bring your own wine it is a must do if you are visiting or you live in Armagh you cannot beat it!!!!

called on wed evening and went for 9.95 special. we all had different dishes... i went for tandoori chicken which was beautiful wife had chicken kashmeri onion bajis,,,sheis kebab...pilau rice...all beautifully prepared and served with no delay by amy and her crew best in town ...frank

Had dinner here as part of a table of 7 on Wednesday evening. Some of us ordered the onion bajis as a starter which were really nice. For main course there was a mixture of chicken tikka masalas which unfortunately for my taste were too sweet but I did try the balti which was nice accompanied with the mushroom rice which was lovely. The chips and nann breads were ok. Waited quite a long time for the main course but to be fair there was only two waiting staff and we were out for a celebration. The price was very good along with the service. The messy paint job didnt bother any of us and made us laugh.

Seven of us went for a meal. We all had different dishes and all had a great feed. Chef was happy to provide sample dishes of the different sauces so everyone got the one they preferred. Bring your own booze. Can't understand comments re decor - never noticed it and didn't go there to look at it either. I'm a regular visitor and would recommend this place very highly! Hope to be back sooon...

Three of us called in for dinner, the decor was very dated and the food was average at best, two of us ordered a king prawn dish for starters, we managed to count 3 prawns between the two dishes! A group of 12 came in after us so as there was only the one waiter we were kept waiting a lot, although it seems we got the last of the naan breads and prawns!!

Went for a curry with a group of friends. The place itself needs a bit of decoration but the food was great. They also did a Happy Hour Meal which was a really good deal. If you like Indian food it is worth a visit.

I went here with some friends after it was recommended to me and I wasn't disappointed. The curry was great, the staff were really friendly and helpful and we had an enjoyable meal. The decor is proper curry house, don't expect the Ritz and the toilets are really clean. There's plenty of parking just across the street in a new car park though the new Street layouts slightly confusing. This is my favourite curry house, ask what's on special or for the chefs recommendations. Great

We eat here very regularly, it looks like a dive to be honest, really needs a spot of redecorating. Inside it has gas heaters and is poorly lit. BUT the food is amazing, so fresh. They accommodate for everyone, if they haven't something on the menu they will make it for you. And its no problem to ask for a healthier version. The food is consistent and Delicious, and so reasonable, a takeaway curry with rice and nan is 7 quid i think before 7oclock every evening! highly recommend it every time.

Situated across from the city hotel this Indian is a from the hotel menu if your staying a few nights, The food can be hit and miss and we have experienced a few bad meals in it, the premises are dated and can be cold in the winter, the gas fire can be rolled up to keep you company. I gave this 3 as I could have given it worse but at the same time I and others have experienced good food on occasions so average would be fair, money spent on decor, proper heating and constancy and this place could be excellent.

Visited here as a group party . Not particularly my choice of dining . Good was ok , not too spicy. Staffing was ok but very cold, spoke to staff regarding this and sadly they could not help so our jackets and outerwear wer buttoned up.

Ate here with a party of 7 last week and have visited before on numerous occasions. I would recommend the Paal for those who can go a notch above vindaloo. Portion sizes are excellent and the food is consistently excellent also. Tried the chicken tikka chilli masala with lemon rice and peswhari naanAnother excellent feature is the BYOB option. Reasonable price for the feed we had.

Travelling around Northern Ireland and fancied a curry. Whilst the Restuarant was not busy on a Thursday evening the food was good enough to satisfy my need for a mid week curry. They are also happy for you to BYO.

Been here on numerous occasions and never disappointed with the food or service. It's not the most comfortable of restaurants, far from it in fact. But the food makes up for that. Wednesday and Sunday deals are great value. The BYO drinks is also great.

We ordered take away for a large group of people and were very impressed with both the service and quality of the food! Everyone enjoyed it and would have no hesitation in recommending it!

Great service and very knowledgeable waitress. Food though was just average with a few different dishes looking and tasting the same. Take ur own wine with no corkage charge. Atmosphere was quite cold even though it was restaurant week in Armagh.

We went for the beat the clock deal. Which seemed a good idea at the time.Food was lovely until we found hair in the naan bread and one of the other dishes.Completely put off!Rang and complained and to be fair offered us another dish free. Will not be back.

Love Indian food and this was some of the best I have ever had! Great flavours and particularly generous servings. I recommend this little take away whole heartedly.
