Arabesque in City of London, Westminster

Arabesque are registered to give discounts on the Dine Club app but indicated no knowledge of it so don’t expect a discount if you have a Dine card. That said the waitress was lovely and the food was ok. I especially like the veggie starters.

The food was delicious, the portions generous and the bill modest, which is the best of all possible combinations. Nice relaxed atmosphere with unhurried service - we will be back.

Enchanting atmosphere, vibrant cheerful decoration, warm welcoming vibe, highly efficient and friendly service from a brilliant waitress, who was everywhere, helping everyone, despite the small restaurant being very well patronized (and very deservedly so!), excellently prepared and delicious food, top wine from the Lebanon, and really good value. An ace restaurant all round where my husband and I spent a lovely Saturday afternoon over a long leisurely late, late lunch. Thank you to all involved, it was brilliant and the chicken livers were sublime, I´ll be back to order them again-absolutely delicious. Love Catherine

We went for a pre-theatre dinner as it is next to Hampstead Theatre and they are totally geared up for theatre dinners. Very cosy, felt like home cooking and generous portions. Good food. Service was lovely considering it is a very small outfit with a large number of customers, and the girl who served us was absolutely sweet.

Four of us ate here before a visit to the theatre around the corner. We received a lovely welcome and it was beautifully warm inside on an icy winter's day. Ruta was attentive throughout and has a lovely manner. Red wine was reasonably priced and the food was fresh and tasty. Duck dish was particularly good and the vegetarian options were excellent too. The baclava on the house was a very nice touch. All in all, it was a most enjoyable experience and we would definitely go again.

Just around the corner from Hampstead Theatre and recommended by their staff, this restaurant didn't disappoint. Very helpful and pleasant staff, plus an excellent value, extensive and tasty lunch menu.

Round the corner from Hampstead Theatre so I can imagine it can get filled up prior to an evening performance there, but for a post matinee performance it was very convenient for me. Food is typically Lebanese and was tasty, although there seemed to be only one waitress serving the whole restaurant. This was not a problem during my visit but could prove so if the place was really full. Would happily return again.

A very tight and dark space , poor service , bad food ! Veg . Food seems like melted from frozen or very little veggies, non veg is burnt to maximum that smells horrible! Non alcoholic drink has very bad taste !

Food is fine ,but disproportionately the vegetable balls in veg Biryani were very few and rice was more . Chicken was grilled with skin which was unusual, but taste was ok . Had more variety comparing with other Lebenese restaurants. Tabule was only cut herbs and lacked the original ingredients and taste . We ordered yogurt drink which had a bad smell and taste and could not swallow , but , Overall food was good. There is only one server and understandably she had to run . As it was near our hotel , it was convenient for us .

We came in after a matinee, and were delighted to find the pre-theatre menu. It offered a lovely range of dishes. We had one each from veg and non- veg and the waitress throughtfull brought us two plates each so we could share- which we had planned to- but this made it easier. We were able to sit at the back in a quiet section although we hadn't booked. Complimentary olives and pastries to finish- what could be better.

It started with being told they could only accept cash as the card machine had broken so my partner had to walk to the cash point before ordering food. But that stuff happens so we were still happy about being there. The food arrived promptly, perhaps a little too promptly, and it was OK. Not great but nothing really wrong with it. But halfway through our main course we became the only people in the restaurant and the kitchen staff started clearing out the cardboard rubbish and bringing up bits of equipment from the kitchen below. A small plate of dessert, unordered, arrived. Then the door was propped open (it was about 2 degrees outside) while they brought in the tables and chairs on the street and started stacking them. It was 8.15!! We left. No dessert offered, no coffee. And we were very very cold!

Cramped seating with cold interior as door kept left open as people going in and out. Took 20 mins for time to order from seating down.Waitress was working like a headless chicken but very much under staffed. Lamb shawarma was dry, the salad average and fries was underdone. Generally whole meal was a rush. The complimentary baklava was a nice touch but too much of a rush as had a show booked.

At 730 pm this restaurant was full and had no tables. At 8.00 pm it was empty: the theatre herd had stampeded away across the Hampstead tundra. It was peace exeplified. Three covers. Engaging people, hot charcoal grill. Creamy lovely hummus, wonderous warm gava bean. Salads and charcoal grilled chops with a bottle of young Musar. Gaston’s grandson perhaps? But the surprising star for this curmudgeon who abhors puddings was the baclava: dry, not cloying or soggy, nor too sweet. Almost crisp, and packed with pistachio, hints of floral honey and wonderous texture. Goodness. In every sense. We loved the place. Go. After eight!

What a gem of a local restaurant! Great food with interesting choices on the menu for vegetarian and non vegetarian alike which go well beyond the standard Lebanese fare. Service was excellent, atmosphere welcoming and our only complaint was that we were too full to finish up every delicious morsel on our plates. Tremendous value, fresh ingredients and close to Hampstead Theatre. We will definitely be back for more

If you want a relaxed, casual meal come here. Just honest cooking making the food super tasty amazing service the lady is on point with remembering your orders recommendations and is super efficient. The saffron tea was delightful so much saffron. No service charged was added to the bill and it’s placed like this that deserve it we tipped because it was great all round. Thank you to the chefs and the lady that served us.
