This place has amazing food with very reasonable price. They don’t add service charge so you can save some euros there. Staff are nice and friendly and overall this place has an amazing atmosphere. This restaurant is closer to the station so it’s quite convenient to get here. Overall quite impressed with the quality food, the price and customer service.

A hidden gem on petersgate in Stockport. Always good food even with the 11.95 special Monday to Thursday. I don't really want to share this place but it's too good not to. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Pop into the petersgate tap afterwards for a fine selection of drinks.

Started off looking for a cafe to get a sandwich this lunch time but found this place. Great lunch menu, food and service were excellent. Thanks.

Nice waiters & waitress. Food is good and the place is quiet for a family or friends diner. Price was also good. Though you can have pizzas and pasta almost everywhere it's worth the visit.

We love this place, fabulous service, amazing food, all the drinks you'd want...always top notch. Try the meatballs, they are so tasty and fresh.

Lovely restaurant. The service was impeccable, everything was spotless and the food was amazing. A note to remember is that the portions are huge. For the money charged you would think that the portion sizes are reasonable and for the starters this is true. The mains are where it gets really big. I received twice as much salmon as i was expecting. So in summary: absolutely amazing, just make sure you bring your appetite and wear stretchy trousers.

About as much kerb appeal as an office block, but within hides a superb dining experience. My wife and I tried it a few months ago on a whim and weren't disappointed. A month later we brought the family and they all loved it too.They have a website and Facebook page so you can view their menu's and opening times. During covid they offer a take away service which is also pretty good.Disabled acces is good with normal parking and electric charge points outside and just around the corner is a big car park for Stockport centre.The restaurant is quite large with plenty of space between tables during covid.Never checked to toilets.The portion sizes are a little big and always freshly cooked using local produce where they can. You can take away left overs too which is nice.Staff are friendly and attentive.The only fault really is with the decor. Nice inside but bland by the door and front windows.

This spot never disappoints. They serve excellent food for affordable rates, there no long wait even when the place is loaded.

Came on a Groupon in August with another couple and wow we weren't disappointed.In a central location in Stockport right near the food hall, there is also parking right outside if needed.The restaurant opens up to be quite large inside and well displayed.We had a mixture between us, this included meatballs and garlic bread starters, pasta and pizza mains.The portions and quality of the food was outstanding with service to match, well worth a visit.

Low quality of food, not really authentic Italian. Authentic food like pizza needs woodfire, for the rest all food seems frozen.

Took my family as it was my daughter's 2nd birthday. Had to choose from the lunch menu as they had a chef for lunch and 1 for evening. I was disappointed as I really wanted a steak, however the food I had was lovely. The starter garlic mushrooms lovely and risotto for main was nice and creamy. We took a cake and the waitress put some candles on it and happy birthday came on. Lovely afternoon thank you

I eat here a lot since I work close by. I like how their service is always awesome and they keep the place well organized regularly. Rates are fair and they serve large portions.

We came to this restaurant for dinner. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very successful. we were warmly welcomed by the crew and we had a great feeling. The meal was tasty. We loved this place very much and we will definitely return to this restaurant. We recommend this place to all.

Nice restaurant. Good value if you get in early on an offer. Best of booking if you want a table in the main part of the restaurant otherwise you seem to be put near the entrance in the window. However this is a quiet table which is sometimes nice. Good quality food. Clean restaurant and staff are OK.

we had a late lunch some chose the set menu others a la carte . We all loved our meal servic was great nothing too much troule . Although it stated close at 3pm we were not rushed at all and it was almost 4pm when we left

Not wishing to sully the good people of Stockport but I fail too see how Aquila Nera achieved 4.5 After being brought the wrong starter we were presented with Cozze Alla Crema, not as you may expect, shallots, white wine, cream but cream, saffron and garlic, creating a very sticky sauce which you were expected to eat with your hands. When we asked for a finger bowl we were presented with a stainless steel sundae cup:. See picture below. No lemon slice. My girlfriends fingers were stained yellow (see picture). To which the waitress replied " I cant see anything wrong with that". The filet steaks were veiny and the home made Tiramisu was a joke, thin, tasteless and clearly frozen, ice crystals in the base and water oozing from it. Later that evening Allison got stuck in a toilet cubicle (Door handle broken off on the inside), and needed rescuing by a patron. Upon mentioning this to finger bowl girl the reply was " your own fault for using that cubicle” (the other didn't have any paper).... After complaining to the manager..."She's only 17 what do you expect". In all a very disappointing evening. The only good thing was the garlic bread and the Barbera D’Asti at £20.50 a bottle, although finger bowl girl did not offer me the opportunity to sample it. JB’s advice, give this place a wide berth. Do not follow the 4.5 rating. Probably OK for a pizza as the garlic bread was good. Just don’t get to adventurous..... oh and take a survival kit when using the toilets.

Just visited this restaurant, food good but a couple of issues no way of cleaning fingers after a mussels, Which are always messy.plus tagliatelle Mariana was described as having baby octopus none evident.when commenting on it didn't seem to be received well.wil think hard before going again

Service was good however wasnt sold on the food. Mushroom risotto was bland but not awful. Very disappointed with the tiramisu. No flavour. The base wasnt soaked in alcohol or coffee flavouring. The others I were with liked their food though so it could just be me being picky.

Stumbled across this Italian in Stockport From outside looked clean and menu appeared reasonable Service was good, staff attentive and friendly however I’m sorry to say food was disappointing Starter if pate was average at best. Soggy bread and salad on plate poor certainly was fresh Mains of Seafood Risotto at first looked delicious. Plate was very hot and food was piping hot. This was very clearly either cooked, completed or indeed reheated in a microwave. Side salad again wasn’t fresh tomatoes were off. Olives disgusting All in all very disappointing Food doesn’t do decor or service any justice at all

Went last night ( Saturday 18th Jan 2020) ..A lovely dining experience from start to finish,our table wasn’t quite ready,we were lead across the road to another bar for a round of drinks paid for by Aquila Nera. He came and got us when our table was ready,the food was absolutely gorgeous,so much flavour I didn’t want it to end. Will definitely be going back and will also be recommended it to other friends and family.

Walking around Stockport looking for somewhere for the family, and happened upon this restaurant (mainly as the other local eateries were takeaways). Lovely atmosphere- genuine and friendly, then the food... absolutely superb! Will come back again - a satisfied patron from London who will aim to return when next in Stockport! Highly recommend!

Wonderful! Together with three medical doctor colleagues we went there for dinner. Service was perfect, food very delicious. The ambient was lovely and we really enjoyed our time there. A definite must go!! Gëzuar! 🥂

Main course was clearly made from a packet of frozen veg! Not a great experience and not at all what I expected from such a pleasant little Italian restaurante. We like to support local business but I’m afraid we won’t be going back there in a hurry!
