Amazing spot, always go here for anniversaries or birthdays or whatever. Fantastic food that can't be matched for sure, but also incredibly kind staff that were so accommodating to me, my wife and our newborn even gave us some food on the house. Amazing experience and look forward to the next one.

Great food and wonderful experience. We went initially for a take away. However, we were advised the food would not keep well due to the highly quality of the meats. Happy we ate in. Menu fully explained, suggestions given and fantastic service. Highly recommend for all meat lovers!

Appetite London offers the unique combination of a high quality butcher, Italian deli and amazing restaurant in a relaxed and very friendly atmosphere. Every time we are in London, it is a mandatory visit to see our friends in East Village. High quality ingredients processed into high quality products and dishes. You could pick anything from the menu, but the pork belly is really something else.

What a gem !!! We've had their scotch egg, sausage roll, tiramisu and burgers ( cheeseburger and lamb), it was all wonderful and delicious. Both take out and dine in service has been amazing. I highly recommend this place !

The air-dried beef here is so famous👍We ordered a few dishes to share, especially the ax steak and lamb rack. After eating them, you will have endless aftertaste.

Lovely little boutique eatery. Everything tasted fresh and so appreciative of custom. Seemed to know locals who had come in to buy their meats and cheese. Absolutely wonderful staff and service. Would be in everyday if lived closer. Defo worth the hour journey time! We would highly recommend the platters!!

Amazing place! best pulled pork sandwich and sausage rolls in London, incredible tiramisu, and over all great place to buy top quality products. Also, super friendly staff (It takes me about an hour to get there and it’s totally worth it).

Wonderful butcher and restaurant in East Village. We regularly frequent here for both meat to buy and cook at home and to eat at the restaurant. Out favourites are the beef tartare, crispy pork belly, and dry aged steaks, with tiramisu for dessert! The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The butcher products are expensive but top quality!

if you wanted to be treated like family , have some of the best produce, drink great wine and be impeccably served this is the place for you . Avoid the chains come and support local people here !

One of the best steak dinners that I've had. Super tasty meat and great service. The beef was perfectly cooked and the sides and sauce suited the meat. The wine was a good accompaniment to the meal. Excellent place - next time I'll try the T bone

The burger was disappointing. The pattie for the wild boar burger had an overpowering herb flavour that drowned out the meat. It was quite dry, I don't know what percentage of it was meat. The bun was also over grilled.

Fantastic little place. Popped in to buy some cheese and ended up staying for charcuterie and a bottle of wine. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff, a great selection of food and drink to eat in, and an excellent deli and butcher too. We'll definitely be back.

L accueil est très sympa et le service impeccable. J y suis allé une première fois ou j ai mangé une très bonne entrecôte et une seconde avec un délicieux burger. A conseillé si vous êtes dans le coin et amateur de bonnes viandes ou de bons fromages.

We tried oh so many times having a proper t-bone (1kg+) dinner in London that had the quality and the experience we miss so much from our trips in Piedmont or even more so, Tuscany. And we went everywhere in London, the expensive mayfair restaurant, the “other” coveted Italian butcher/restaurant (although a chain) in south kensington... and the more recent addition in Liverpool Street. But nothing compares to Appetite. They love what they do, they know the cuts, and how to cook them to perfection. Their meat is superb, marbled, tender, you can eat it as it is but the little trip it makes on the charcoal grill transforms the cuts, makes them sublime. The peppercorn sauce - amazing. The starters - fabulous. Even the sides don’t disappoint. And it is just our second time at this gem. I am eager to go through all their menu, one bite at a time

Amazing butchers and really friendly staff

Not the cheapest place around but food sold here is worth every penny as it’s high quality. I especially like the butchery as I think the butcher really cares about his meat and this is reflected in the good selection of cuts and how good everything tastes.

The fact that there's an option to select 'late night food' just proves my point even further. This place serves alcohol outside until 2am on Sundays, and midnight on Saturdays with no consideration for the fact it's in the middle of a residential area. I'm pretty sure their licencing is only supposed to be until 8pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends. Do better by your own community!

I don’t do long reviews on Tripadvisor but this is an exception. This is more than a restaurant, it’s a cultural experience!! Warm, authentic Italian hospitality at its very best. Italian families eating next to us with extended families. Nothing is a problem, genuine customer service from a family business. We arrived as customers and we made to feel like family when we left. You choose the cut of meat you want, and fab Italian wine from the shelf and then let the show begin. Trust the staff recommendation to take care of the rest. The sauces are fresh and home made , desserts are delicate and the meat is first class. It’s may not seem like an obvious destination for a meal but it’s the best night in a restaurant I can recall.

This place is one of those hidden gems that someone has to let you know because you will never find it unless you live in the area. It is a butcher that became a restaurant too just a few months ago. Kind of “petite comité” as they have only 5 or 6 tables so you better book it in advance. The quality is just outstanding, as simple as that. Once this place become more popular it will be extremely hard to book a table. You won’t find a stake house like this one. Could you imagine a butcher where you tell him/her; I’d like 400gr of this cut and 400gr more from this other…. A dream!! Kind of the proper fish restaurant where you choose the lobster you want when it is still alive. We were served by the manager, Cosimo. We told him we wanted to enjoy eating meat and asked him to impress us. And boy, he did! Also, while you are eating they can prepare your butcher shopping… ideal! Also, if you are a cheese lover, they have a great selection of cheeses. Plus, of course, fantastic wines to pair with cheese and meat! It is not a cheap place but for the amount of meat we eat and the quality, it wasn’t expensive either. Come and try it by yourselves! It is very unique! I couldn’t tell you where to find a similar place at all…

I came here for a meal for 4. I had the flat iron steak which was superb the homemade peppercorn sauce was wonderful. The tiramisu was hands down the best I have ever had. The staff were charismatic and so helpful! We also had 2 dogs and they gave them fresh mince which they devoured. 10/10 and I will definitely be back. Age 35

Sunday night out for a stunning steak dinner🥩 Over 1 kg of T-bone (both fillet and sirloin) is more than enough for three people to share The meat is perfectly grilled with lovely pink color and tastes so juicy❤️ The mixed salad 🥗 is full of olive oil and is super fresh 👍🏻 The classic beef tartare is a good choice for a starter as it can definitely increase our appetite for the yummy t-bone Fries are served hot with crispy outside and soft inside 🍟 #tbone #tbonesteak #sundaydinner

We were staying in Stratford and had a fantastic meal in Appetite. The carpaccio and caprese starters were delicious, I had the filet and it was perfectly cooked and so tasty. My partner had the lamb which was epic. Finished off with the best tiramisu! The house wine was excellent and top notch service made the evening even better, The meats and cheeses look incredible. This place is well worth a visit!

Great quality meats and cheeses, good selection of deli items, the staff are super friendly and will take the time to talk about flavours and recommendations. The best bit is they have tables outside and serve charcuterie, cheese and small dishes accompanied by excellent wine. Local gem.

Went in this weekend looking for a cut of pork to roast, and the butcher suggested boneless shoulder, and went the extra mile to give me spot on roasting introductions. Turned out nice juicy on the inside with a nice crispy skin. Great quality and customer service.

No idea what had happened to our free range chicken, but when we fried it, blood came out everywhere. The bones were partly broken, and full of black blood cloths, and so was the meet. Do they keep free range chicken together with elephants, and the chicken was trampled to death? Not happy - especially not considering the price. Otherwise a very good shop. I'm slightly worried that I am constantly being told that it's all organic but I never find that in writing anywhere....

Appetite è una garanzia. Consigliato da amici, lo abbiamo scoperto sotto il periodo natalizio, fatto un ordine che ci ha lasciato particolarmente soddisfatti per la qualita' della carne. Da quel momento è stato il nostro butcher di fiducia. Abbiamo cosi iniziato ad assaggiare sempre piu' cose finché un giorno incontriamo Cosimo che vedendoci indecisi sul vino da prendere, ci da qualche dritta e ci chiede se volevamo qualcosa da stuzzicare. Apriti cielo, abbiamo scoperto che esiste il posto perfetto per fare un vero aperitivo italiano a Londra. Tartar di manzo eccellente, taglieri di formaggio, salumi, olive, pomodorini, di tutto! Vini, campari, amari tutto cio' che si possa desiderare. Inutile dire che ci torneremo ogni volta che ne avremo l'occasione. Ad ogni modo il suo carpaccio rimane uno dei miei preferiti in assoluto. Bravo Cosimo & team. A presto!

I was spoiled with a fantastic small surprise birthday party at the Appetite London Master Butcher - yes, you can book a table, sit outside and throw a little party there! The food was plentiful and truly delicious. There was a nice selection of meat and cheese platters. Me and my guests were very well looked after by the staff who ensured that we had whatever we requested. Highly recommended.

Got burgers from here yesterday. Took them home, unwrapped them... And the stench floored me. Burgers were discoloured and absolutely reeked. You want to appear like you're a premium butcher, but clearly have no idea what spoiled meat looks and smells like. Not coming back. Ever.

Living in East Village, Stratford this is the only butchers/cheese shop close by (If only the local Waitrose had a deli!). I have really tried to like this place for convenience, but each time I go I find the staff are extremely unhelpful and rude. I get the impression you have to go in knowing exactly what you want, otherwise no one is willing to talk you through the selection of meat and cheeses, they just want to take your money without offering any kind of friendly or helpful service. I also dislike that they display their sourdough bread on the counter for customers to walk in and breath/cough/sneeze/talk over the bread - especially with COVID19 spreading it's disgusting. I will continue to travel to Bethnal Green and central for my shopping where I feel more comfortable with the service provided.
