I was recently in Belfast ,visiting family and we came here for a meal .Can not praise the quality off the food and the excellent staff enough,just wonderful.Staff members Laurine and Dessi were so helpful and courteous.Could not do enough for us .I will be definitely be back on my next visit to Belfast .The Fosters Seaham

Food was good. On a tour and the waiter was so rude. I don't think he liked Americans. Couldn't eat my food fast enough and wanted to take the other half of my burger on the bus with me so I could finish it. He told me I couldn't take the food out of the restaurant. He said it was the law. When I googled this it says its not really a law but at the discretion of the owner. I paid for the food so I should have been able to take it with me.

This place is amazing.Would highly recommend. We booked a Cocktail Making class and 2 course lunch for £40.00. This was excellent value. Good menu choice and food was delicious. The cocktail making was one the best things we have ever done - there were 16 of us, the two barmen made our experience fabulous, so proffessional and such good fun they made the day. Would book again without hesitation. Venue is really lovley too. 3rd May 2019

Opposite City Hall and with tall tables and chairs in the window seats, this is a great place for people watching. We called in for a quick meal on Bank Holiday Monday evening as we had a flight to catch. We let the waiter know and he made it his mission to look after us well. He did ! It was a quiet evening and there were only a few other people in but the food was great, the atmosphere good (live music) and the service excellent. We had cheese and garlic soda bread to start, burgers for mains and a fab apple pie for pud ... really nice. It seems from reading TA that this uaed to be called The Apartment and may have had some less that appreciative reviews. As far as I am concerned it was great and the location stunning. Give it a go.

I went here on Saturday afternoon with my other half as we noticed it changed from the apartment. The apartment was terrible, food and service. We went in upstairs to and I asked a member of staff of there was a table for two please? Now there was a few tables free. He said ‘no I don’t think so’ without even looking. As he turned and walked away from me I said ‘Excuse me, do you know how long it would be for a table?’ To which he replied ‘no sorry I don’t work in this section’ and walked on. We were left standing like idiots wondering why we would chose to spend to our money here. Having spoken to friends they have had similar experiences and it would seem it hasn’t improved from it wa the apartment. My advice would be to avoid. So many great places to eat in Belfast, this not being one of them! Go to Made in Belfast and get the whole package!!

I was here for a drink for the first time since the Apartment became Hell Cat Maggie’s. The main change seems to be a lot of extra wood throughout! There was live music and it was busy but even though there weren’t too many people standing at the bar it still took a while because the barmen were all taking their time making cocktails.

Fab meal on our last night in Belfast. I had the Irish stew which was fantastic. Massive portion size. My daughter had the burger & fries. Excellent. Live music as well topped the night off. Would Def go back. Very central to everything.... right opposite City hall.

Just called in for a couple of drinks, found it to have a friendly atmosphere. Didn't eat here this time, maybe try another time

Previously known as the Apartment and now Hell Cat Maggie's, I decided to nip in on my own to see what it was like. From the moment I walked in until the end, the service was amazing (served by a young girl who's name I can't remember). To start I had vegetable soup which came with bread and butter - lovely! For my main, I had their amazing fish and chips. To be honest, it was probably the best and largest fish and chips I've ever had (comparing to fish city and Mourne Seafood Bar). Also, don't let the images fool you... looks like there was more batter than fish, this wasn't the case. I couldn't finish it! Lastly, was welcomed by a firmiliar face - Eamon who was on the bar. Nice seeing you again lad! Keep 'er lit

Went here on Friday with a friend for a couple of drinks for the first time. Layout is the same as the apartment but they have gutted it and replaced with wood everywhere which is nice and very cosy. Was a nice bar, staff were friendly. Only thing that let it down was that the toilets werent great. The apartment had the same bad habit of not monitoring them. On friday the toilet paper that was in a holder was completely sodden. It must have fallen in the toilet and then someone saw fit to put it in the holder...gross. Small things like this can put you off going back.

This place is hell cat maggies now and decided to give it a second chance. Was here a few times when it was the apartment and it was awful each time, don’t know why I expected something different .... food was honestly abysmal and service is even worse. They either need to sack all their staff or retrain them.... awful. 1 star reviews reflect this place well. Toilets, floor and tables absolutely stinking too. Would say this place has gone downhill but it was never uphill to start with!!! So so bad. Don’t go to this place if you want good service and tasty food. I am more shocked at the staff. Message to management- hire staff who will work and not just stand around!!! Check cctv for proof. Shocking experience and I will NOT be back. Calling food hygiene and safety also as this place is obviously due a visit. 🤢🤮

Excellent service and really good food and choice of beers and wines. Staff are attentive and happy to serve you in a friendly and welcoming manner. Definitely going to meet with friends there again!

I met up when th a couple of friends and we decided to go here as our first choice was packed & we had been many times in the past. What on Earth has happened? The place is absolutely filthy with very poor standards of hygiene, service and the food was not good at all. We simply could not get out of the place quickly enough as it’s gone so far downhill it’s unrecognisable from The Apartment of old. Such a shame as it used to be so good but we will never return after this really terrible experience..nothing was good..food, service or atmosphere. Someone please give this place a deep clean!

Walked in on a Thursday night for a pint with my friend, but as some other people have said it seems like a dirty place and looks and smells like it needs to sniff its armpits and change its deodorant. There was an awful damp smell as we walked up the stairs then when we got up to the bar the damp smell blended in nicely with deep fat fryer oil and fish... lovely! We just turned around and walked back out.

It’s hard to explain how bad the food was, firstly my beer was awful , food ordered from the only saving grace they have , our server was brilliant she was very helpful and pleasant, back to the food, our son had the salmon and not being hard to please he enjoyed the meal, my wife had the chicken strips, they arrived burnt hard over cooked burnt, I had the hake with Asian broth I think ,, I did struggled to find the hake, large bowl of sticky noodles veg sweet chilli sauce , ok yes there was a small piece of fish and why was I given a soup spoon for the so called broth when it was a sticky mess, we did send back the chicken and where told there is nothing wrong with it it’s the coating? After feeling like we had just been told off we asked for regular fish and chips and this was better, I an still struggling with the noodle mountain that swamped the tiny hake , advice dont go !!!

Out with some friends on a Saturday afternoon and entered this bar. The stairs and entrance were that filthy and the stench of damp/dirt was that bad we about turned and left.

Quería sentarse en nuestro asientos normales en el bar, que era gratis pero aparentemente no estaban sirviendo la comida en el bar ya, aunque sólo estuvimos en literalmente por un plato de patatas fritas para mi wee. Que estaba bien. Caminamos hasta el restaurante para conseguir comida y el camarero alto bald era muy grosero y directamente con nosotros, haciéndonos sentir incómodos por diciendo que necesitaba para comprobar las reservas, aunque el lugar estaba prácticamente vacío y sólo obtendríamos un plato de patatas fritas. Se sentó y ordenados, sólo para estar 15 minutos esperando en 2 black zumos currant cordial y pinta. Otras personas entramos después de nosotros y nos sirven de inmediato. Uno incluso mi madrugada hizo un comentario sobre cómo el camarero straightfaced significa y era. Me encantaba el apartamento para comida y bebidas después del trabajo, pero ahora es simplemente bajado el desagüe. Este solía ser un bar agradable y todo incluido, pero también tuve un amigo rechazaron la semana pasada para asistir en su trabajo camarera llevando su ropa de trabajo. Como si es algún tipo de clase alta fantásticas? ? Aparentemente está bien para venir en un traje, actuando como un edjit y beber hasta que no soporto pero usando un delantal, Dios no lo quiera. Mi bondad. Quizás un cambio de dirección ha pasado pero este lugar no es lo que solía ser. Le contaré a mis amigos, amigos de trabajo y familia Para virar a la manera clara de este lugar. Muy decepcionado. Y este Viniendo de alguien que está acostumbrado a comer y beber regularmente en este lugar y tenía cosas buenas que decir. Muy triste.

Este restaurante (si se le puede llamar así) está situado en un lugar privilegiado con vistas ayuntamiento de Belfast. Qué oportunidad perdida! ! El interior es más como el de un bar público, falto de decoración y ambiente. Tanto mi amigo y yo tenía lo del menú descrito como pollo Thai con fideos - palabras me fallan en cómo describir lo que fue presentado, pero digamos que fue un largo camino desde Tailandia!

I have never written a negative review until now (I usually just vow never to return)but the lunch my daughter and I were served today was awful. We both had the chicken wrap served with chips and salad. Salad fine but both the wrap and chips were tasteless- the addition of salt,vinegar or sweet chilli sauce could do nothing to improve it.The waitress could see our barely touched plates yet did not ask if we enjoyed our meals. Such a pity what with their prime location.

We had a drink here today- it's a nice friendly bar. Great views of the city hall and a good selection of drink choices. It's the first time I had been in here since the renovations and it's quite a difference.

Stopped in for a few drinks. The place is nicely appointed and very bright and inviting. Bartenders were attentive and they had a guitarist who was very good (contemporary tunes - Ed Sheeren...). Pleasant place to stare out the window and people watch.

We went to Apartment for a cocktail masterclass as part of my hen party and can honestly say it was the best part of the day.

Despite the view over Belfast city hall, this pub is really poor quality: the place is dirty, the service is inefficient, the food is really poor, we had not freshly cooked pork sausages and mashed potatos, chicken curry, two horrible teas ... it was a bad experience

Called in here for some lunch with family...we were served by a friendly waitress who could not do enough for us! Burger was amazing and strawberry daiquiri even nicer. Lovely view out onto city hall. Definitely would recommend.

We called in for a pre dinner drink before eating out in Belfast...service was swift, prosecco as ordered with a raspberry...all good but a bit expensive at £13.80 for two modest sized drinks!! Place buzzing ...good atmosphere.

My partner and I called for a drink on a Sunday evening when all cocktails are £5. Having first attempted to order some sort of cherry cocktail I was told that this couldn’t be made as the smoke machine wasn’t working, which was fair enough, so we had 2 espresso Martinis, which were fine.

Spent a few hours here with a friend. We sampled a few cocktails. Nice atmosphere in the place. Staff very friendly. Enjoyed our cocktails and the afternoon.

The location of the bar is great, slap bang in the city centre, but I wouldnt want to spend a whole night in it, nothing wrong with the place, but it seems more like its taken over from the now defunct Auntie Annies, in that its fine for a passing pint/drink etc, etc, but nothing more.

Absolutely loved our night here on Saturday! Went for my Hen Party and we did the Cocktail Masterclass. It was brilliant. The guys working behind the bar with us were so good, great fun and up for a laugh. We then ate upstairs and the food was superb! I had the peppered steak boxty to start and it was to die for!!! The staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this place, particularly if you’re a large party looking for somewhere that is not only accommodating, but will bend over backwards to ensure you enjoy your night!!!

Came here for lunch. The food was great. I had a chicken wrap and my partner had a boxty, which was great. The waitress with the short hair was exceptional. Friendly and super efficient. Will definitely return.

Took a few work colleagues here for a quick bite about a week before Christmas. Like many, I was a huge fan of the Apartment but it’s been a long time since I have eaten there.

Great service, lovely food and they serve the best coffee and let you wake up nicely. Great breakfast and reasonable cost

Met here on Saturday afternoon with a bunch of friends and it was lovely. We had a window seat which was perfect, our waiter was fantastic, so accommodating and friendly, sorry didn't catch your name. The food was lovely, I had the steak sandwich which was delicious. Definitely be back

Un precioso y confortable hotel, perfecto para una escapada relajante. Todo el personal era muy agradable y servicial y todo el énfasis en hacer que los huéspedes se sientan bienvenidos. Fue muy agradable poder hacer uso de las bicicletas y el ciclismo a lo largo de la línea de trenes, fue una manera muy agradable de pasar un par de mañanas. Los jardines del hotel y al campo de golf son preciosas.

Vinimos aquí por bebidas pocos y quedamos impresionados. Tenían una amplia carta de cócteles, y todos ellos están a un precio razonable 7 libras - 8. 50. Las bebidas estaban bien hechas y tenía una buena relación de alcohol para mezclarlas. El ambiente del lugar es relajado pero de moda para un público adulto. Había música en vivo de 2 artistas diferentes, que fue una adición bienvenida. Sin duda, recomiendo una visita para bebidas (no puedo comentar sobre la comida).

¿Por qué lugares ofrecen 'tarta' en el menú cuando no sirven? ? Una tarta para mí es pastelería todas alrededor del contenido, aparte de casa/pastores tarta. Ambos pedimos tarta del día, dijeron que era torta de carne. . . . Cómo para ser presentada con un pastel de queso con puré bowl, debajo de un tipo de carne que era incomible. La teca" era tan duras como el cuero viejo. . . horrible.

Had lunch and drinks on a Sunday afternoon, service was first class, great food, great drinks with an fantastic atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

Called in around lunch time with my mum for lunch on our way home we went upstairs to which we could not find anyone to ask for a table so we found one which nobody was sitting at still full of dishes an glasses so we just sat down an was greeted by a cheeky an very rude table server to be snapped at! there is a queue for a table we looked round there was a few empty one's like ours.the staff member shouldn't really be in hospitality if they do not know how to mix with the paying public well not be back!

Esperó mucho tiempo para ser servido en el bar aunque no tan lleno, personal muy poco. Pedimos dos veces para menús antes de que nos las dieron. Nuestro camarero era amable y eficiente. La comida estaba bien. Pedimos doggy bag como hija no comer la mitad de su comida. Se negaron debido a H&S;, así que tampoco tienen diferentes reglas para todo el mundo o cualquier otro restaurante en Belfast rompiendo códigos h&s.; Que comer fuera por lo menos dos veces a la semana y estaba bastante decepcionado con la comida y el servicio.

Tomamos una copa aquí con mi amigo el pasado sábado por la tarde. Lugar encantador. y gran ambiente. Recomiendo encarecidamente visitar aquí. . Los cócteles son ammmmmazing.! !

Stopped in here a while back on a Friday afternoon at around 5:15. Had dinner with colleagues booked around the corner for 6 so we thought it would be a good place to kill the hour between finishing work at 5 and having dinner. Quick drink and off we go. We left at 5:40 having not been able to get a drink.

If you want to have fun and enjoy yourself this Aint the place, if you want to pose and turn your snout up at others then this is the spot for you.

Had table booked for evening dinner. Food was worth waiting on and the service was good. Live music playing in background created nice atmosphere

Lovely place, lovely food and overall experience however I found the manager "Thomas" quite off-putting. Very lack lustre and standoffish and swore a lot which I found highly offensive. Did not take great care at all when making cocktails and shortchanged us. Not happy. Get rid of him and the place would be flying :)

Have been to this place for food a few times now and had the steak and chips, have to say it was great cook perfectly and a great cappuccino to follow , spot on, and the service was excellent

apartment is ideally situated in the city centre. their two course sunday lunch deal which my partner and her sons and their partners took advantage of was excellent made more special by the staff especially laura who is good craic

Great spot for a seat by the window and watch the world go by.Close to local theatres so good for a pre meal/theatre drink.Havent eaten there so cant recommend but would suggest there is an abundance of really good restaurants nearby but try a drink here first.

Booked this restaurant by viewing the menu online and it was superb. One guy was serving about six tables as not too busy and he did a great job. We had the duo of lamb and the rib eye steak and both were amazing. Wine was lovely. Would definitely eat here again.

Apartment Belfast is in a great central location. Right on the bus routes at city hall for those travelling in. Perfect for visitors to the city as it's across the road from where the cruise ship shuttles drop passengers off and the Visit Belfast centre.Having said all that, I was disappointed on Sunday 4th June. My partner and I ventured into Belfast for chilled Sunday drinks as there had been advertisements on their Facebook page of £3 pints.We arrived approximately 1430 hrs and stayed until 1700 hrs. In that time we bought pints of Clonmel and I believe they were £4.20 and NOT £3. This was a disappointment and has made us reconsider where we will visit from now on.

Visited for some pints a Saturday evening.The live band were really good, playing lots of songs people could sing along to.The selection of beer was also very good, lots of local beer to choose in between.

I visited the bar at end of February and while there had a very poor service provided to me by not only one but two of the management that was working on the premises. It took over 20minutes for a drink order to arrive and when it did it was the wrong order brought by a young looking person that looked like spent more time on sunbeds than ever knowing about manners. When I went to complain a member of staff got a manager tall ginger hair that was also none the wiser with manners persisting that the order we ordered was correct and persisted on paging even when we had not touched the drinks. Finally after a bar staff spoke up sayimg that he had heard the that what I had originally ordered was not what was made by the over-sunbathed manger did either still not use any manners or apologize for their attitudes, we left and just as we left they had no sooner than started baraiting the young bar tender. It is a dull dark place whose management are ignorant, attitudes stink and on a whole left feeling totally disgusted with the whole bar.

Literally just leaving here after being out for dinner with friends. We spent most of the afternoon here having cocktails (lovely!) before heading to Zacks restaurant for dinner - it was inedible. I had "tagliatelle with sprouting broccoli, peas, Parmesan, vine ripened tomatoes and Parmesan and garlic bread' - loosely translated this means tagliatelle in a horrible cream sauce, broccoli (for some reason just the stems) and possibly four leaves of spinach. Two friends had "salted chilli pork steak on a bed of noodles and Asian greens" which in actuality means a brown dish (not a green in sight) with over cooked pork and inedible sauce which was too hot to eat. I mean the chilli was so overpowering that even someone whoIs partial to the odd vindaloo struggled. Finally we had the medium to rare steak - which needed a saw to cut, not a steak knife. So all in all - fine for drinks, but do not waste your money even attempting the restaurant!! All leaving hungry and disappointed!

Called into Apartment after work on Friday. Prosecco on offer for £15 - Great. Not so Great the music, too too loud. Liked the songs but when you are shouting to your husband to be heard not good. In the time we were there which was one drink at least half the people left, a couple beside us left most of their drinks and said could not hear each other. My husband mentioned to one of the staff and she said they had asked him to lower the music several times. Such a pity as it is a great venue and we had a brilliant seat at the window overlooking City Hall. A couple near us from the South of Ireland also said they could not stick the noise any longer. May be ok later on but early should be background music.Cannot fault the staff, service was excellent and drinks we ordered were great such a pity about loud music. Would love to go back but I like to talk and catch up and not really possible there.

Table booked for 5pm. We went in stood for 5 minutes until a waitress came in and told us to leave they were closed. We informed her we had a table booked for 5 and she told us we had to got upstairs. We had booked the pre-theatre menu i.e. 3 courses and a cocktail £25.00 Well the starters was okay nothing to write home about. We both ordered the burger. After waiting 20 minutes the burger had been cooked to within an inch of it's life and was so dry. Due to another commitment we had to forget the dessert and leave. There was only one floor staff on and one barman. I would have thought at this time of night when offering a pre-theatre menu more staff would have been available. Wouldn't recommend at all. Standards have certainly slipped!

Recently opened restaurant in a prime location within the Apartment complex. Very quiet on a Wednesday night but the food was top class. Very good value pre theatre menu. The soup I had was delicious (onion and garlic) and the gourmet burger was well cooked. Pleasant service too. Another welcome addition to Belfast's vibrant dining scene.

Great meeting place with views over the City Hall and grounds. Have always enjoyed the food and cocktails here. Staff are very polite and our rather large portioned meals were served quickly.

My daughter and I had a few cocktails here on Monday afternoon. There put a lot of effort into the cocktails and the bar staff are really nice and attentive would recommend the Route 66 and my daughter loved rhubarb and custard these are only the ones we can remember lol

The Apartment is situated in the very heart of Belfast city centre. It's in Donegall Square West just beside Belfast City Hall.They serve nice breakfasts and have an office crowd who sit in or run in to grab a coffee to go.Lunch is also served and the food is lovely. For a cheap lynch, try the soup & toastie option for £6.95.The Apartment has 5 pages if drinks in its Drinks Menu and is well-known in Belfast for its cocktails.It's a popular spot for locals and tourists to frequent in the evening and into the early hours of the morning. The ladies love the cocktails there. There is usually a DJ at weekends.The service at breakfast, lunch, and dinner is v good but bar service in the evenings is extremely slow due to the amount of women ordering cocktails and the length of time it takes the bar staff to make them. If you're looking for a quick drink, go elsewhere.

Had a meal upstairs in the bar area before 5pm, as a very nice guy advised us as meals arent served after that upstairs. All the staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. The surroundings were comfortable and the toilets spotless and nicely designed with mirror doors etc. Well worth a visit. A guy was also warbling out a few songs but we could have taken or left him. A bit too loud where we sat.

The food here is nice and tasty and very enjoyable and not too pricy it has a lovely automosphere and the decor is nice

My friend and I met at the Apartment having book a table for 4pm. They have a sunday menu which included a roast beef dinner which I choose and my chum ordered the pan fried chicken fillet. We had expected to eat in the restaurant but were told it didn't open on Sundays. We had no choice but to eat in the bar.When our meals arrived we were very disappointed. I was meant to have roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding. A typical sunday roast in my eyes. I was given 2 baby boiled instead of roasties. This was as well as the mash. Now to the mash. The lumps far out numbered the smooth mash I was expecting. Vile. No yorkshire pudding and no mention of the lack of it when my meal arrived. My friend also had the same lumpy vile mash and her chicken fillet came served on the bone.We spoke to the waitress who went to speak to the chef. she came back and said she had spoken to the head chef. He agreed the mash should not have been sent out like that. They had run out of roasties and yorkshire pudding. they were in the process of changing their menu and their chef. I got the impression from this statement that they thought it was an excuse for poorly trained staff. Any kitchen can go through a bumpy time when they changing staff etc but really. Not to be able to produce creamy mash or a yorkshire pudding and a roastie is inexcusable. Basic Sunday fare. The waitress did point out other choices on the menu. We were able to read these choices for ourselves but in fairness to her, it wasn't her fault and she seemed really embarrassed. We left and went elsewhere and won't be back

Twas a quiet mid-afternoon with only one bartender on, in the upstairs. My friend and I stood at the bar 15 mins waiting to be served while the waitress continued to walk past, multiple times, chatting to her friends at the end of the bar and serving only them, as they came in the door in dribs and drabs (must've been a party) who, I might add, all arrived after us. Flipping joke! Won't be back. And the new layout sucks too. Clearly, one functional bar upstairs (not including the unmanned smoking area one) isn't sufficient. Or simply hire some competent bar staff. Shame too, we use to like the apartment quite a bit.

My collages took me for lunch on Thursday I had the ploughmans which was very well presented my friend had the fish again lovely and crispy batter really good food for my first time in here will return soon to try more great foods served in a fantastic location

Called in on Wednesday night in the new restaurant called Zak's after hearing some very good reports about the food I had the chicken and my wife had the lamb both dishes were cooked to prefect we shared a sticky toffee pudding again Devine what'a great place will call back again soon to try something different

Someone told us about the new restaraunt so we decided to try it out the place had a few tables in but we were lucky to get the window table i had the duck and my husband had the monkfish two well presented dishes i had chicken which was devine was a scared to eat it as it looked so good my had the catch again seabass well cooked and tasted devine couldnt of eat a sweet but will go back

My partner and I went for a 2 course meal we both had the potato and leek soup which was lovely ...but with it had 2 pieces of brown granary bread which to us was stale...Well then the main course came ages later and we both had lamb in all my life I have never saw such small portions !! was a disgrace to put down to anyone and when we cut into the little pieces of lamb blood ran out of it litterly! and potatoes wer very watery....People at table beside us 1 guy left his dinner cldnt eat it and the other guy seemed to have what looked like fish to me the size not bigger than a matchbox from what I saw hate saying this but the worst place we have ever eaten in and cost a small fortune...Really dissapointed....Waiters wer friendly have to give them that shame about the food..

Spent an evening here last month. We ordered platters for our table which were incorrect & mediocre. Drinks were very nice. Clientele different than on previous visits, now very young & wearing trainers & sports tshirts. Bit chavvy!I more recently purchased a £50 Treat ticket voucher. I repeatedly rang the Apartment, phones weren't answered. When I did get through & left messages, the messages weren't returned. I sent a message via Facebook, ignored. I went back to phoning & was repeatedly hung up on, when I finally got through I was swore at. Once management heard I was using a voucher they were fully booked & had been for a month. Tried booking via their online booking form, apparently they are booked up forever & ever! Tried ringing again to book a different day, management back to hanging up on me! I'll spend my money elsewhere, this place is poorly managed & dishonest.

Lesson one, make sure you pre- book especially, if you prefer a window seat overlooking the city hall, we didn't but got a reasonable table, otherwise you will require a head for heights while perched on a high stool,we witnessed potential customers leaving because of the lack of practical seating, (moan over). We were looked after by Laura who was most professional and efficient, we ordered steaks and must say they were the best steaks we have eaten in a very long time, we enjoyed the complete meal from start to finish, we also saw a variety of dishes served and they looked superb and judging by the empty plates everyone enjoyed their meals, as we did. Look forward to a return visit and would recommend this restaurant without hesitation, should you wish to stay a little longer then order from the large choice of cocktails and enjoy the live music.

Stopped here to have a gin cocktail before dinner. We both chose different gin drinks but both had lemon zest . The service was really slow . Both drinks were ruined with the overpowering taste of bitter lemon zest and we could taste little else. They need to change this mixture . Not cheap at £7.50 each.

Visited with my husband on the 11th Feb for the launch of Zaks new menu and had a fantastic night.Food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were some of the friendliest I've come across.Usually when my husband and i are out for dinner, we go, get food and leave, often feeling you need to clear the table for the next people but we spent a good few hours in Zaks, namely due to the great relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.And then of course headed upstairs to the apartment for drinks! What more could you ask for!

Popped in on 14 February for lunch the bar was busy enough I had fish and chips lovely nice pea purée and great size my wiifm had a lovel Caesar salad again lovely presented didn't bother for sweets as we were filled up will call back next time I am in Belfast

Always come here for cocktails when in Belfast, there cocktails are great, lots to choose from. Had a sharing platter and it was nice, nice wee nibbles to pick at when you are having a few drinks. Seats by the window have great views. Recommend booking a table when going in the evening as it can be very busy.

Ate here on Sunday afternoon using a Treat Ticket offer, £20 for 2 starters, 2 mains with sides and a drink. The staff were welcoming and friendly, had previously booked, so we were seated quickly, near the toilets (I suppose somebody has to). Menu explained, not as detailed on Treat Ticket ie no turkey or lamb roasts. Ordered two prawn cocktails, which were ok (rocket, peppers, prawns, very hard wheaten and a drip of rose marie sauce), fish supper and chips (batter not cooked long enough and slimy inside) chips were very good; hubby had chicken strips (batter also not cooked enough, doughy texture).Washed down with a glass of wine and a peroni! For a tenner each it was 'ok', but I won't be back! Thanks anyway!

I went there on Friday 3 February with my friends for the start of a girly weekend. We settled in lovely. A lovely light lunch accompanied by several drinks (Bottles of prosecco £10 on a Friday) and as it had started lashing down with rain during our time there, we remained there from 12 noon til 8pm before going to our hotel. I would recommend, really loved it. Great staff and we had no trouble getting served. Food quality is really good and there is live music on across the weekend.

Food was lovely and all the staff were very friendly and attentive, asking did we need anything else while serving but not interrupting conversation to check up on us the way they might in some restaurants. I had Caesar Salad to start and my other half had the Mixed Bread starter which would have done two people, I loved the sun-dried tomato salad which I stole off my partner's plate! For my main I had the BBQ pork ribs and sweet potato fries, I rarely order ribs as I don't usually like meat on the bone but these were gorgeous! The meat was so tender it slid right off the bone! My only negative note would be the way the coleslaw was presented, it looked like a little brain - but that's just me being squeamish! Overall a beautiful meal and good experience . . . oh and the music too, I loved every song played by the live music act on the night! Great service, tasty food and a lively atmosphere - what more could you want on a Saturday night in Belfast? I would recommend booking though if you plan to have a meal on the weekend.

We have ate here before and had fine food but this time was really awful. The problem was all food related we waited 1.15 on our main course of 3 x slow cooked beef 1 x chicken strips. When it eventually arrived the chicken strips where fine but all 3 of the beef was so dry it could have be mistaken for biltong. They did offer to change it but we where so hungry/hangry we got stuck in. I noticed also that the couple behind us returned their steak as it was over done and then the second one was returned also. Has to be in my top ten worst meals ever.

Great Service from Waiting Staff although food coming from Kitchen a bit slow. Worth the wait though as both courses excellent and wine was good too.

Lovely well presented food, and staff are very attentive. Menu has something for all tastes, and a good selection of wines to suit all.

We went here for dinner on the 27 December last. The menu was restricted because of the Christmas period so we both chose the Traditional Fish & Chips, which included mushy peas. When the meals were served to us, the first thing we observed was that the batter on the fish looked like a wrinkled piece of skin. It should have been crispy but it was like a soggy piece of tripe. It was terrible so we complained. We were advised that it would be taken off the bill. However, we were charged for the expensive bottle of wine which was to accompany the meal. I'm afraid that this will be the last time that we will visit here.

I used to love this place years ago, it was a superb cocktail bar, which is why I was so shocked at the state of it when I walked in over Christmas. It was like something a dodgy nightclub bar you'd find in the middle of nowhere. All the staff were chewing gum whilst serving us, and the bar maid with drawn on eyebrows was picking her spilt ends (all the while chewing gum) as she attempted to look busy. I ordered a margarita, the barman held the glass by the stem and salted the entire glass from head to toe as it it were a bag of chips, then poured some premix into the entirely salted glass. It was revolting. I didn't drink it and left. The atmosphere was tacky, the music was tacky, the staff were sloppy, everything about it was uncomfortable. Sorry to say all this because the views from this bar are actually great...

Xmas party time so we eat off xmas menu..great value at £25 for 3 courses..matched by good food...the restaurant area was busy but our waitress dealt with dood orders and many drink orders promptly with a smile..

Called in for drinks, at least 10 minutes for cocktail, some of the party just had coffee, no taste to it, cocktails pricey and not much kick to them.

The cocktails here are OK. They are not the best in Belfast and the service is not outstanding. I would not rush back.

We came for a friend's birthday and had the most lovely time. Beautiful cocktails (although selection could be bigger), excellent service, lovely staff and the sharing platter was great, although slightly impractical (sticky chicken wings and fajita mix). Great views of city hall. Recommend a visit!!

In the Apartment Bar today for lunch with my mother and sister. Sat ourselves down in the almost empty restaurant. Picked 2 light bite platters from the menu we were given . Ordered wine for my mother and sister. Wine arrived. Was opened and poured by waitress. We were then approached by an extremely abrupt waiter called Conner and told would have to move seats as we weren't having a big meal, but a bar snack. I explained we had ordered from the menu we had been given which had no mention of bar snacks but he insisted we move to the other end of the restaurant, quite brusquely too! It would have been helpful if we had been told this before wine was poured. Embarrassed and annoyed, but as my mother and sister had their drinks in front of them we moved but cancelled our meal as we now felt uncomfortable and,quite frankly, unwelcome. While I waited for them to finish their drinks four more people came in. Sat for five minutes then left. Two more came in and sat behind us. They too were moved because they apparenly were ordering full mains. Two MORE people were moved because they too were having what they classed as bar snacks even though they are on the main menu and not listed as bar snacks . Place nearly empty at lunchtime on Black Friday. We won't be back there. We then went round the corner to the Washington which was packed. They found us a table quite quickly Told us there was no problem having a light lunch and treated us with respect, fabulous service and excellent food. One restaurant nearly empty... one packed out. Says it all really.

Last Sunday (20th Nov) my friend and I had a table booked for 5pm. However on arriving we were told due to extreme business the previous day, the fridges were empty and the menu was extremely limited, consisting of only one portion of sausages, one chicken, one burger etc etc. Why am I annoyed? I will set the scene...Four weeks previous we entered the Apartment at 1pm to book a table for 2 at 5pm. We were told no walk ins, bye! So in advance of the 20th, I had booked our table 10 days ago to avoid disappointment. This was a special trip for my friend and I from Newcastle to shop and finish the day with a nice meal in a highly recommended venue in the city centre. What is not clear, therefore is its policy on walk ins. It seems totally contradictory to me. On the 20th of November we had to settle on waiting over 45 mins for two turkey meals, which were similar to airplane meals, only to be told that the delay was due to business from the Christmas market. Having had my contact details I would assumed that a busy city centre establishment would have informed me in advance that the menu was limited. To be told on sitting down that there was only bare minimum to eat was so so disappointing for us and at that stage it was impossible to go elsewhere as we were catching a bus home at 7pm! So I write this with anger at our Chtistmas experience in the Apartment and the £42 expense we incurred. However, I do want to add that the serving staff were attentive and friendly. Following the experience, I emailed the apartment the next day, and I am still awaiting a response. Furthermore, I rang on Thursday of this week to advise of my email and was dismissed. In sum, I would suggest that a city centre establishment sorts out its management and ensures that there is a standard befitting its prominent location at the City Hall.

Had cocktails here one night when there was a singer on. Surroundings are pleasant enough, singer was ok and the cocktails were first class. Bar staff slow.

Booked a window table for lunch with former work colleagues. Waiter and waitress who looked after our table were excellent, friendly and very professional. Lunch menu ok, no salmon roulade starter and no daily specials either so limited choice. I ordered chicken gougons, got three tiny battered pieces of chicken which were very dry. Said to the waiter, who as I said was excellent, was offered a free dessert, but declined this and whilst I wasn't looking a free meal wasn't charged for mine. Others had fish which they enjoyed. Location, views, the staff who served us all excellent, drinks good if a little overpriced, food choice and quality disappointing. Hadn't been to the apartment for a few years and probably will be a few more before I would go back, maybe sooner for a drink, but not food.

Had a quick snack before going to waterfront early Thursday so not too busy prompt service reasonable selection but not all items available. Went for shared platter and another item from bar menu tasted ok but needed a few more choices to really be a platter . As we were leaving the music volume seemed to be getting louder maybe I'm getting old but hard to have a conversation

Went with 3 friends using a treat ticket voucher and have to say it was great value , we had a starter a drink and a main meal all for £10 per person , the food portions are big but the food itself was just OK I wouldn't be rushing back for food , having said that it's a lovely place with fantastic views over city hall and I would certainly go for drinks , the staff were very nice especially the tiny girl who served us she is great at her job

Hate places whose bar staff are too busy talking amongst each other, and after a five deep queue has built up, they have no idea who needs served first. The Apartment is one of these places. They were too busy throwing water around each other, and served other customers first, not a great service or capable staff. Nice place and new smoking area, just a pity about the staff

Went for Sunday lunch as a groupon. Waited 50 minutes for our starter to arrive. Out of the several starters to choose from only the soup was left (it was only 4 o'clock and not overly busy). Baring this in mind a table of 6 people was served their starters before us and they arrived after us. That entire table had starters of chicken wings and other options. Very unfair. Waited another hour for main to arrive. They forgot Yorkshire pudding on my boyfriends and on my plate it was obvious they were running low on food. Tiny slice of ham and a teaspoon of stuffing and an extremely small amount of vegetables. Asked the waiter at the beginning of our meal to bring out a slice of cake and a candle as a suprise as it was my boyfriend's birthday. We finished our meal table was cleared and waited 15 minutes for the cake to be brought out. Meanwhile the waiter was standing chatting at the bar. Gave him serveral suggesting looks which he ignored. Clearly couldn't be bothered and this mirrored his mediocre service throughout the meal. Really disappointed and would be very reluctant to return as there are many much better restaurants throughout the city centre. Avoid

Nice bar and we were lucky enough to get a window seat so were able to just relax with a beautiful cocktail and people watch. Nice place to go with a good view of our beautiful City Hall
