I can't understand the five star ratings. Tea and coffee were OK but the cake was ordinary and a little stale and the sandwiches were made with cheap bread and cold, pre-cooked bacon. We were very disappointed

Amazing food, well presented and a large range of food to choose from. Gluten free, dairy free and vegan are available on request. Such a friendly team of staff and lovely atmosphere.

Lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. The customer service was also excellent and prices reasonable. The cakes looked so delicious we could not resist having a piece after our meal. We will definitely be returning soon.

I visited Anna's for the first time today with my daughter. We had the cream tea which was the best I've ever had. It was so nice to be able to choose the sandwiches and cake you want. We even treated ourselves to a couple of glasses of bubbly each!! The atmosphere was very welcoming and calm. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Great food, great staff, great location, what more can I say. I would highly recommend a visit. Tip: best to book in advance, it's a busy place.

Came here for a private birthday function and was not disappointed. Food was incredible in taste and presentation. Staff were friendly and on point! Did have a peek at the cakes and that would've meant trouble - looking lush and spoilt for choice. Thank you for making the celebration special.

Fab little, quaintly decorated, welcoming place. I had a birthday get together here and we had the cheese and meet boards which were amazing. Also had afternoon tea (with Prosecco of course) which was delicious. Have popped in for lunch and had a job to choose from the tasty menu and best of all they have cakes and cheesecakes to die for plus loads of gins

A place to go for traditional afternoon tea. China teapot and cups, nice interior design. Friendly staff albeit a bit slow considering it was less than half full. Good sandwich with generous filling. We didn’t have any cake, but they looked delicious!

We visited this cute little place today for lunch. Delicious coffee, the best sausage and chutney sandwich and as for the Mars cheesecake, well that was totally amazing. 100% recommended.

Never been disappointed with the choice of food, its presentation or table service (5 stars). Unfortunately, on my last 2 visits in recent months, the small dining area became increasingly noisy when larger groups shared joined tables and consumed alcohol. A tea room for me is somewhere to enjoy good food at leisure, have a quiet chat, and all in relative peace and quiet. So, sorry Anna's, not your fault in any way but I have since found what I want elsewhere in Folkestone but hope this review gives some food for thought.

Been here a few times for afternoon tea and always had a very good experience!! Last visit we had a baby with us and staff were only too happy to accommodate making space for the buggy and were very friendly. This tea room has a lovely vibe about it and we will definitely be going back in the near future and would definitely recommend!!

Came here with my friend and our daughters. Was full inside but got seated in the beautiful garden area. We had the afternoon tea each and they made the girls a kids sandwich. All the food was delicious and we loved the scone and carrot cake. When, not if, we come again we will be trying out the gins!

I booked a table here to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Having had a great experience here before, I really wanted my mum to have a special day. The online booking process was really easy and the correspondence I received was very helpful. I arrived with my young daughter and my mum and sister were already there. Our table was nice and the decor was lovely, which my mum commented on. We had the afternoon tea, the food was very tasty and there was plenty of it. I was however, disappointed by the service that we received. The lady who waited on our table wasn’t very friendly (I don’t think she smiled once) and made us feel as though we were a bit of an inconvenience. Having had excellent service last time, this experience was quite a contrast and I don’t think I’d go back because of it. Such a shame as it’s a lovely little tearoom.

In the back streets and quite easy to miss but a beautiful tea room waiting to be discovered. We only had coffee but was tempted by their menu. Attentive, friendly staff who made us feel very welcome.

We ordered two Classic Afternoon Teas which consists of sandwiches of our choice, scones, jam, butter, clotted cream, a piece of cake we chose victoria sandwich.As always they were delicious, fresh, and tasteful. As it was lockdown we had them delivered at home for a small charge.

This is the second time I have been here in October, and the service is top top. Amy is outstanding at service, polite, attentive and cheerful. The best service I have ever received in Folkestone!! I work in a pub myself and I have never received such brilliant service. The food is very nice and the place is charming and thoughtfully decorated. I highly recommend this lovely place.

This was a really nice evening with friends .Anna’s is simply lovely - always get a warm and genuine welcome in intimate surroundings .Tonight was a musical evening with songs from the last few decades - great singing by Tom and some funny stories too .There is a large drinks menu particularly if you are a gin fan and as a driver there was a fantastic choice for me to choose from.Shannon who looked after us tonight was helpful , knowledgeable and attentive .Top place - always hits the spot !

I've always wanted to visit Anna's and my friend treated me for my birthday. They helped her arrange a surprise for me. The staff were so welcoming. Everything was brilliant, the place is chintz overload and I loved it. The food was lovely and filling. All I can say is the cherry jam was a revelation. Look forward to revisiting.

With the lockdown decided to order a picnic lunch for my husband's birthday. It was lovely meats.cheese, pickles salad biscuits and bread all attractively arranged in a wooden tray which you get to keep. I was recommended by a friend who had a lovely afternoon tea delivered.Plan doing that next. Many thanks to all at Annas.

Delicious food served here, breakfast, scone and tea, jacket potato. i really like it here, i wish they had more seating space as it is often busy. which is not a surprise as the breakfast, food, cakes served are delicious. I can't wait to enjoy an afternoon tea soon. Not many places in Folkestone where you can go to enjoy a sweet or cheese home baked scone but this is the one!

Dont really want to recommend this place as its so lovely trying to keep it secret ! They probaly need larger premises ! Had the most delicious afternoon tea for four of us . Sandwiches ( egg mayonaisse, smoked salmon and cucumber and cheese /chutney) , scones ( plain , cherry and also cheese)and cakes all beautifully fresh and delicious .Endless tea . We had their biscotti cheescake which was really, really good ! Lovely calm and relaxed atmosphere too . Great little place and very good value .

I’m not sure what to write. Walked in after seeing an a frame offering me breakfast and a pot of tea, feeling hungry and seeing as I was meeting a blind date at primark I went in. I was greeted by a bearded gentleman who quickly seated me and took my order, off he popped and soon cane back with my pot of tea and a bowl full of sugar.

This place certainly is a WOW !

Myself and my mum popped in to Anna's this weekend after hearing it had been taken over by new owners, and we were pleasantly surprised. The interiors are beautiful and clean, and the food was outstanding. We had the afternoon tea package with cakes, scones and sandwiches and they were all so delicious. The sandwiches were especially good! Anyone weary about this lovely establishment being taken over by new owners, have no fear, the food and atmosphere do not disappoint. I think next time we may even go into the garden around the back of the shop!

My second time here and it was just as good as my first visit last year. Everything is fresh with generous portions and tastes yummy. Sadly, I was informed that Anna’s is being taken over by new owners and I’m hoping that they manage to keep it as good as it is now. Back next month for my birthday so we shall see.

This small establishment is quite unique, serving dishes to cater for all dietary requirements, freshly made to order. It creates such a pleasant, relaxed environment, with 'vintage' style crockery, served by attentive and friendly staff. I just popped in for a quick breakfast, but their afternoon teas appear to be a speciality. I'll certainly return.

We visited Anna’s recently and it was a real treat. We had reserved a table in advance and were given a very friendly and warm welcome. There was a mouthwatering and generous range of beautiful home baked cakes available to tempt us and it was difficult to choose which one to try! We settled for the chocolate cake and the lemon drizzle. Both were simply delicious and I loved the little added touch of strawberries which adorned the side of our plates by way of a pretty garnish. The pot of tea was massive and for a tea lover such as myself this was heaven!

Having been to Anna's for a nice lunch with my daughters. I thought I would write a small review. The service is friendly and courteous. We had a selection of foods all of which were well presented and enjoyable. The deserts we chose were all homemade and so tasty. Overall, a lovely lunch meal at Anna's. We definitely will visit again.

I would be hard pushed to find a warmer welcome and jovial atmosphere anywhere in Folkestone. It is a rare thing to find a great menu that lives up to the hype! Service was swift and friendly, and when the food arrived complete with salad garnished with a lovely when spending a quiet lunch with my partner! The desert choice was tough, but went for the salted caramel cheesecake, this was a winner, delicious to the last crumb, still kicking myself for not licking the plate!

We had the signature afternoon tea. Sandwiches were tasty and great flavours but were disappointed that you only got the choice of one as the reason we choose afternoon tea is for selection. Scones were delicious however were disappointed by the use of fresh cream rather than clotted. Cakes looked and tasted amazing and good choice of flavours, but again only had choice of one. Unlimited tea and coffee and the choice of juice drink was great, beautifully presented and nicely decorated inside. Service was friendly however we were originally turned away after being told no tables were available. Luckily we asked if this was for the whole day because there was only a 20 minute wait which they would not have told us otherwise and we would have left! Recommend booking in advance if you want to visit.

On Sunday, my friends hired out Anna's for a private function for my baby shower and it truly was the best afternoon thanks to the hospitality of Anna's. Nothing was too much for them, topping up our tea and constantly checking we were ok. The place was packed and they delivered every request - just perfect hosts. Really really grateful! The food was amazing, especially the fruit scone, the carrot cake and the chocolate orange cake! Sorry about the mess left behind though!

Visited today with my wife and daughter. Although I have been here before. This is the first time since it was taken over by new management. The restaurant is very pleasing to the eye and the management and staff extremely welcoming and attentive. There is a varied menu to suit all tastes and very reasonably priced. We all ordered jacket potatoes with different fillings. My prawn cocktail was excellent and one of the best jacket potatoes I have ever had. If you are ever in Folkestone this is a must visit. However, I would recommend that you book first.

We ordered whole cakes from Annas for a history exhibition launch at Sunflower House in Folkestone. We had over 120 people at the event and there were so many compliments for the amazing cakes! We had coffee & walnut, elderflower & lemon, carrot cake and chocolate rolo cake! Personally my favourite was the carrot cake - moist and sublime flavours! The chocolate rolo cake ran out the fasted! Not a cheap deal, these are made to perfection and are worth a bit of investment to make guests very very happy!

We visited Anna’s today and we absolutely loved it. The attention to detail is stunning, from the beautiful tea cups to the roses served as a garnish. I ordered the avocado on toast with crispy bacon and it was hands down the most delicious avocado on toast I have ever eaten. We cannot wait to come back and try more. A beautiful spot for breakfast, thank you!

A little cute cafe with a homely atmosphere and family run.

I've made it my mission to visit as many cafes that "I've always meant to visit" during my mat leave. The only downside to Anna's is I may now struggle to visit any others. Came for brunch with my in-laws. Staff could not be more helpful, food was excellent and I've never seen such beautiful presentation at a cafe! To top it off, I ordered a slice of chocolate cake. It was, quite possibly, the best cake I have ever eaten. They do whole cakes to order and I will certainly be getting one for my birthday next month!

Had a lovely afternoon Tea for my daughters birthday, first visit to Anna's staff were very helpful and nice, the afternoon tea was best I have had, very tasty well presented, we have had afternoon tea at the Grand, but this beats it hands down. We will be returning and will recommend this lovely place to one and all.

19 of us came here today for afternoon tea for my cousins baby shower and I can't recommend it enough. They catered for all our dietary requirements - they even made me my own dairy free cake! all of the staff were fantastic, i really can't recommend Anna's enough, especially for a little function.
