A little bit of Greece in Arbroath. The food was very good quality and generous in portion size! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely go back. I visited again in 2024 and the quality, quantity and friendliness was still 5 star. The best restaurant in Arbroath.

What a gem! I really didn’t expect the authentic Cypriot & Greek atmosphere that this restaurant had. It was small, rustic and the first thing you smell when you enter is the charcoal grill. The food was amazing, looked and tasted authentic (like if cooked by your Cypriot gran) and brought us back straight to the Mediterranean. Would definitely recommend.

Good food and great service. Colour scheme (blue/white, traditional colors) weren't as welcoming as the cozy surroundings of darker colors and drapes would be, it was almost like a bathroom with too much white and contrasting blue for me, personally. Can't fault the food, beverages, service and prices though. Very good.

Little Greece in Britain. The food is very tasty and staff is very welcoming. We liked meze for 2 very much, the portion is quite big. Also recommend trying the prawns, they are so tasty. Also thank you for being open on Sunday, there are not so many place to eat and we were lucky to find you. Thank you! Will come back.

We had the new high tea. It was wonderful, a big platter between 2 including chicken skewers, dips, humus, savory muffins. Followed by cakes which were wonderful. The 2 vegetarians got falafel instead of the skewers, so everyone was happy. Brilliant!

Portions are large and everything on the menu is very reasonably priced. it was a shame we were the only ones there when we went for lunch today - hope to pop in for dinner sometime soon. The shelves of items to purchase looked a little bare although this could have been because it was just after Christmas - would loved to have picked up some bits to take home!

Wir haben gerade mit 7 Leuten einen schönen Abend mit tollem, frischen und leckerem Essen sowie sehr nettem Service verbracht. Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und Nachtisch waren ebenso gut wie die Getränke! Da wir unsere Hunde mitgebracht haben, bekamen wir einen eigenen Raum (bei anderen Lokalen im Ort wurden wir nur abgewiesen). Hier jedoch sehr gerne wieder!

Our choice of venue to celebrate an 85th birthday. Loved the unpretentious ambience and super friendly staff as always. The food is simple, earthy and full of robust flavour and freshly cooked. No cheffy nonsense here or minimalist presentation! We’re told the menu has recently been tweaked, and Saturday lunches offered, so we will definitely be back soon.

Was looking forward to a taste of Greece, extremely disappointing visit. We arrived 5 minutes before our table booking time, there was only one other table occupied who were just leaving. We sat for 15 minutes before being offered the drinks menu, another 10 minutes before they arrived. We then ordered our meal starting with pitta and dips which still hadn’t arrived 25 minutes later. We paid for our drinks and left. We were told they were serving a table of 26 next door in the bar and that’s why we hadn’t been attended to. No excuse really but possibly an explanation at the time of ordering may have eased the situation slightly but this was not our problem. We will not return.

Great food, and a good selection of options on the menu. Portions are a decent size and there are plenty of options for vegitarians, coeliacs etc. Staff were very friendly and service was quick. Reasonably priced meal. Would recommend to anyone.

The wife and I enjoyed a pre theatre dinner on the 1st February and thoroughly enjoyed our food. The staff are fantastic and friendly and the food is delicious. We got the shared starter of bread and dips before moving on to our mains, lamb moussaka for the better half and I enjoyed a minced lamb dish that I can’t recall the name of suffice to say it was like 4 large meatballs, both served with either Greek rice or a choice of flavoured chips and also bread. In insight we should have maybe not went for the bread and dips starter but that doesn’t detract from the quality of the food. We have previously eaten here and enjoyed the meze to share and thats a lot of delicious food to eat and sample the various tapas available. Excellent food, friendly staff, value for money

Had the Meze for Two, food was amazing came out every 5 min so gave you time to enjoy it and there plenty of it. Staff were very friendly and helpful I will be back.

We enjoy eating at this very friendly Greek Cypriot bistro with its authentic food and atmosphere. Highly recommend the great value Meze’s. You could be forgiven for thinking you were eating abroad but even better. Staff are always so friendly. We feel lucky to have this great restaurant close to where we live.

Very old fashioned! By the looks if it was and old mans pub they have tryed to turn into a restaurant.....and failed !

Definitely recommend the meze for two (for 2) Breads, dips, olives, meats, cheeses, salad,calamari, chips and can have vegetarian or vegan alternative. Absolutely stuffed and food was beautiful. Dessert was good and pints were cold. Came highly recommended and we will be back

10/10 food! If you are in Arbroath then please make sure that you visit here because the food is insane. Not only that but the restaurant has a chilling and calm vibe. The staff were helpful and nothing was ever too much of an ask. We didn’t have to wait long to be served. They do a wide variety of drinks and there is something for everyone on the menu. The next time I am in the area I will 100% be returning. I would recommend booking as I do believe the restaurant gets booked up extremely quickly due to the food being that popular.

Great, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful food. If you are undecided, the mezzi for two will happily feed 3 people with the addition of another tapas style dish or two. Highly recommended and will come back again.

We have visited Andreous a few times and have always thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We visited as a family and were extremely happy with the service and food. As a family of 5 , meals out can often be expensive but Andreous is so reasonable. The gyros is fantastic and so affordable. Childrens meal offered a variety of staples and good sized portions. We will be back again and again. Keep up the great work!

This is the third time I’ve eaten here and the food never disappoints! Everything was delicious- particularly the pork belly and mixed gyros. The service was also excellent- the whole restaurant is warm and welcoming. This is my new favourite place to eat.

Lovely Greek/Cypriot restaurant close the the harbour in Arbroath. Friendly staff, wide selection on menu, which does include vegetarian options. Lovely Greek wine and Ouzo. Throughly enjoyable. I strongly recommend it to the diner who looks for something a little different.

Love the Greek good here been 4 times before. However booked a table for 2 to bring a friend who drove up from Edinburgh to try the Greek food. When we arrived we were handed a Brazilian menu . I asked for the Greek and was told food they were doing a Brazilian week and the Greek Menu wasnt available At the time of booking were never told this as I wont have booked.. The Brazilian Food was very poor and over priced. Extremely disappointing and a huge let down

Wow! Ordered a meze for 2 (vegetarian). The dishes were all delicious and you can tell it’s all fresh ingredients and full of flavour. The dishes kept coming and and was finished off nicely with a mousaka which is one of the best Iv tasted! Great value for money. I will be recommending to others to go and I will definitely be back.

I didn’t even know that Arbroath had a Greek style restaurant, have I been missing out.Friendly and welcoming staff member greeted my wife and I this evening, knowledge of the menu was fabulous and was able to explain exactly what dishes were on the Meze for two, attentive and unfortunately I didn’t get her name to say thank you for brilliant service.We settled on the Meze for two (meat version) and oooft there was a good helping of dishes finishing up with the lamb and chicken, we were well stuffed but in a good way. I wanted to try a pudding but my waistband was saying “ who are you kidding “Quality of the food and service was impeccable, prices were very reasonable and the selection available on the menu was very good and not overwhelming.If I had any criticism ( I don’t it’s just a preference) I wouldn’t have had chips as one of the Meze selections, otherwise great value for money, lovely staff and traditional Greek dishes in Arbroath

My sister and I went here for lunch on a rainy day but we were transported to Greece with the brilliant atmosphere and delicious authentic greek food. The service was friendly, quick and efficient. We had the hummus with pitta to start, the halloumi and red pepper burger and a moussaka for main course followed by the caramel churros for pudding. It was all reasonably priced and the menu is clear with the sizes of the portions, we will definitely be back!

Throughly enjoyed our Meze lunch. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Huge change from the Fisherman's pub I remember from my misspent youth. We will be going back.

Just had another lovely meal at andreous bistro very tasty and plenty of it. We have dinned here a few times now and the food is very good.

This is a great restaurant, the staff were lovely, the music - it was as if they had access to my playlists - and, quite importantly, the food was delicious; very generous servings.

Had a fantastic dinner on the 11th September. Amazing value , wonderful staff and very clean. I can't find a negative comment and would eat here again any time.We could not finnish our dinner as the Mezes for 2 persons was very tasty but jus a little bit over the top.

Booked here for a meal before visiting an event at Lunan Bay. Know the area fairly well but hadn't tried here before. Very glad we tried here and plan to return when we have more time to try the meze. The positives: The staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely background music and tables set out well.We knew the restaurant had closed for a few days for a deep clean as a precaution and that was reassuring. The food was very tasty. Portion sizes were overall generous if a bit confusing (see below!)The burger was fresh and generous and tasty (it doesn't come with fries though)The sheftalia was very generous (4 of them) served with pitta, salad and tzatziki. Easily a main meal! (Although I happily pinched some of the fries ordered) I hadn't tried sheftalia before and really enjoyed them. The bread was also lovely. Salad was fresh and crispy.Lots of vegan and veg options. I don't always want to eat meat so it was great to know they have lots of choice.Overall this was very reasonable priced. A burger, sheftalia, fries and 2 cokes meant our bill was about £25. You'd be hard pushed to find a better quality/price ratio. The less positive aspects: (These are minor gripes. And not worth downgrading by a star but worth a wee mention to give a balanced review.)The meals were small, medium or large. Some medium meals come with fries but others don't. We added a portion of fries (3.99) and it was a decent size and was plenty for 2 but having the option to add a smaller portion to individual meals would be a good idea. We had a long wait for the bill (I gave it 15 mins) As we had an event to get to I ended up going up to pay without having seen the bill. The staff member was very apologetic. The building itself could do with a bit of a freshen up here and there and some closer attention to infection control (bigger bins in toilets, more handgels) and paintwork. The quality of the food would probably justify a slight price increase to support some cosmetic work. Not a major factor though. There's a real lack of decent cypriot/Greek food in Tayside so this was a gem of a find.

As we love Cyprus we were really pleased to see this is owned by a Cypriot! The tapas-style menu was really good with great choices, we probably ordered too much but we loved every course and were pleased we had ordered a greek salad! We had Haloumi bites, king prawns with chorizio, whitebait, steak and belly pork! Lovely staff and pleasant atmosphere, I wished we were in Arbroath for longer so we could have gone back!

We certainly weren't expecting such an enormous feast when we simply ordered Meze for two (twice, being a group of 4) but the dishes just kept coming!Make sure you save your appetite for when the meat arrives. In our case an unexpected moussaka was also delivered at the whim of the chef.All dishes were absolutely delicious, there was a real variety of colour, texture and flavour and everything was freshly cooked and promptly served still piping hot.A most enjoyable evening and excellent value for money. Would definitely go back again, thankyou.Two of our group are coeliac and so it was a real treat that they could have a genuine gluten-free alternative that was just as good an offering as the regular meal. Thankyou Andreou's for thinking about that with care!

Having seen all the good reviews, we called in quite late asking if they were still serving lunch - and were very grateful to be welcomed warmly. Great to be able to sit outside in the sunshine. I enjoyed a delicious swordfish special and my partner enjoyed his sweet potato moussaka. Thank you for your hospitality!

We had a very lunch at the beer garden, we had the breaded halloumi, zucchini, patatas bravas and calamari all marinated with really nice spices. Staff was friendly and helpful :)

We had a lovely 5 days in Arbroath enjoying trying a variety of restaurants with Andreou's Bistro being our favourite. We had really good starters & mains made all the sweeter by being given free deserts because of it being a Wednesday.The young lady serving was very pleasant, friendly & efficient and even although we had other fine meals in Arbroath this one was best.

A lovely little restaurant. We had the mezzes 30.00 for 2 people. Well worth it as delicious. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We finished off with a seat in the lovely beer garden. A wee sun trap. Will definitely be back.

Incredible new vegan meze with TWO types of vegan cheese! The variety and quality surpassed all expectations even down to the (reasonably priced) cocktails. Will definitely return!

Love this place to sit in, was unsure how that would translate to take away food but it was almost as good. Food cane hot and fresh. If you get a chance, sit in as the staff are great and attentive.

Had a very good meal at Andreou’s Bistro. 5 of us eating and so we ordered lots of different plates for us to share. Chicken Slouvaki, prawns, meatballs, pork belly, haloumi,vegetable tagine 2 different types of fries and drinks. Portions are large so needless to say we couldn't finish it all but it was really delicious. Would recommend to anyone visiting in the area.

Had a great meal here last night, meze for 2 was amazing, lots of lovely food. Service was great, nothing too much trouble. Definitely recommend, cant wait to come back
