Amphora Cafe in Trafford

Lovely cafe to stop at for a coffee and a light bite to eat. It is noisy and it’s busy so if you’re looking for somewhere quiet this is not the cafe for you. It’s definitely a winner for families with young children. The menu has breakfast and lunch options and there’s also a selections of delicious looking cakes. There is a good selection for vegetarians too. I decided to have the falafel sandwich and a Cappuccino. The coffee wasn’t the best and could have done with being a bit more thick and airy to create the frothy milk foam. The falafel sandwich was lovely but my only criticism would be have a more generous layer of the hummus. The staff were friendly and chatty and greeted me with a warm welcome. There is an outside sitting area however it’s looks over at the busy road and a block of flats which would put me off stopping for refreshments on a hot sunny day!

Fantastic cafe, really child friendly

Happy to see this place come back. Surprisingly loud, which is not something I have noticed in a cafe before. All of Sale's babies and pregnant women seem to gather here. I would recommend this for families but it's not a place to quietly sit with your macbook to write your novel...

Nice food, convenient location and lovely staff.

Came here with our 2 year old granddaughter, wife and daughter-in-law for early lunch. The food was delicious, great menu, caters well for kids, lots of high chairs. Very good cafe.

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast here earlier today. Great service and friendly staff! Will be back to try the cakes next time :)

I've ordered takeaways for Amphora multiple times. I highly recommend it is amazing. Eggs Benedict, Avocado on toast, and the paninis were my favorite.

Very friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. The owner is very keen to deliver the best service, generous and reliable. We always feel very welcomed and spoilt. My daughter likes the rainbow cake and the macaroons. Once my card did not work the owner and staff kindly provided the food and said you can pay another time,this was extremely helpful.

This lovely cafe has now become our regular and I couldn’t be more happy with every aspect of the place! The owners Artan and Rina couldn’t be more welcoming and the food is utterly delicious! The cakes and cheesecakes, made by Rina, are a sight to behold and taste just as wonderful! You won’t be sorry if you go, that’s all I can say!! Thrilled they’re now open on Mondays too!!

Small breakfast was amazing, perfectly sized, great egg prep, (and I can be fussy about eggs!) Friendly service, clean, and not overpriced. The meats are also from the local butchers.

I regularly visit this fabulous cafe for brunch on a Sunday morning with my husband. On this occasion we took our daughter also. Service is always on point and the food is excellent. Good value for money! Our recommendations are definitely a halloumi breakfast and, more for lunch, chicken pesto panini. Coffee is good too and Art always takes care to make it exactly as we ask for it.

It was excellent really. My wife and I hadn’t been before so our son proposed it for brunch so with Daughter in Law at work three adults and three kids turned up hungry mid morning. It was a pre Christmas wet day here in North West England and this place was really inviting. They have an impressive selection of cakes and home made cheesecakes but it was savoury for the adults this morning. The kids, being kids opted for varieties of waffle. Some waffles were chocolate and banana based some were strawberries and cream - it turned out that the slightly under ripe banana was apparently optional - the 7 year old reckoned it could be left on the side. I ordered a mackerel omelette and it was delicious with the only issue being a cold plate. It was served with two pieces of bloomer which hopefully had butter. Cold plates don’t work with hot breakfasts. My wife chose an off menu salmon omelette while junior opted for the full English breakfast which again was perfectly cooked but all on cold plates. He chose fried halloumi as an extra. I tasted a piece and it was excellent. The coffees: flat white, cappuccino and junior’s black were ace too. The welcome was friendly, the service very good but no excuse for cold plates with hot food.

Dropped in for brunch, the vegan breakfast was fabulous, great selection of food and really tasty. Bacon butty got a rave review as well. Washed down with hot and tasty coffees. Friendly and efficient service too. First time visit - definitely won't be the last!

Excellent food and service, especially with my gluten intolerance. There’s a good selection of gluten free desserts and they can adapt dishes on the menu so they are gluten free as well - definitely recommend!

Was expecting great things after reading reviews. Our food was fine, but nothing special.

It was our first time here at this lovely cafe, the food was soooo good. The staff were so nice too. I had a sandwich and my little girl had cheese toastie and we took some yummy rainbow cake home with us. It was easy to get to and nice and roomy inside, toilets there too which helped as my 3 year old always decides she needs the loo when we are out. We will be back :)

What a fab cafe! Food was delicious and arrived fast, the staff were so nice and very helpful. It was a really nice atmosphere and they have yummy desserts too! I did expect them to have a kids menu as I was told it was a very family friendly place by word of mouth, unless we weren’t given it or missed it somehow, the food was all regular portions. So that would be my only slight improvement request!

Fantastic choice of delicious cakes. Great coffee. I had a lovely chicken fajita panini with a slice of Malteaser cheesecake. Was really spoilt for choice for dessert. My wife had a bacon barm which had really thick rashers which she really enjoyed

Found after searching for ‘best coffee in brooklands’, and Amphora didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent too, and the service. Great atmosphere as well. It’s the coffee shop that neighbourhoods dream of.

Food was lovely and staff was very friendly

We went to this cafe today for afternoon tea following a family christening and I was appalled by the complete lack of mask wearing by the staff. I doubt very mych if they or gloves were used in the preparation and plating up of the spread. There was a hatch into the kitchen and no sign of mask wearing there either. No notice was taken of my request to 3 serving members of staff to don masks and they continued to lean over me placing items on the table. There was an obscene amount of food on offer but I very much doubt any of it was 100% safe to eat. I left without consuming more than a mouthful after a scone was placed by hand in a plate, replacing one dropped by the waiter on the floor. Completely unacceptable hygeine standards particulary during this pandemic.

A great place. Every single member of staff is so friendly and helpful. Seeing the owner making the cakes in the kitchen is lovely. Food is great value for money. Would love to see some specials or a wider menu option. But apart from that it’s great!

What a wonderful cafe, very bright & tastefully decorated with plenty of tables & very clean. A varied menu with a good selection of toasties, Panini's, sandwiches and a big breakfast menu which looked really tasty. They also have amazing gateaux cakes that looked delicious 😋 I can't wait to visit again

A little cosy cafe In sale town. Great spot for coffee morning meetup after school runs. Waffle I ate wasn't fresh though. That tasted like packeged waffle of a supermarket shelf. Rest was good.

Only tried a Mocha, nice but a little sweet, I have to say it is very good value as a regular mocha appears to be quite large. So far in Sale: Grapefruit. Propeller. Amphora. In that order for Mochas

Absolutely wonderful cafe and owners, cheese cakes are the best ever. Rina made me a birthday cheese cake and supplied sandwiches which were gorgeous and supplied in a gorgeous box too. I can't wait to visit once open fully again and support this amazing local business 😊

Tried the Cafe today, the coffee (Latte) and the Carrot Cake was lovely the Cake was one of the best I have tasted for a long time, the safety of the customers was spot on with social distances well marked out, will be visiting again very soon.👍

Delicious food at incredibly good value. We've been going pretty much every weekend in lockdown! Our boys love the eggy bread. The cakes are really good too, especially the Ferrero Rocher cheesecake!

This gem in Sale Town centre is simply awesome and well worth a visit. Serving beautifully cooked and presented meals and sandwiches lunchtimes are a delight. Drop in early for the breakfast menu that is exquisite and delicious everytime . This Family run cafe is fantastic and a warm welcome from Arty and his wife Rena is guaranteed . A must are the cheesecakes and sponges baked on the premises . Once you visit you will return over and over again. As a supporter of local business I cannot recommend this delightful cafe highly enough, call in and you will love it and you will keep a local business thriving.

Little gem of a place with excellent breakfast! The staff are all lovely. The place was very busy yet food arrived very promptly and the coffee was great. We were very full so had a slice of rainbow cake to go and it is without any doubt the best cake that I had. I would highly recommend.

A very cosy environment (with social distancing measures in place) as soon as you walk in greeted by the lovely staff. The breakfast/brunch selection here is to die for! With a wide variety of mouth watering sponge cakes and cheesecakes which are all homemade, absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this wonderful family owned cafe for all.

Me and my partner went to try some cafes and restaurants in sale that we hadn’t been to before, utilising the ‘eat out to help out’ as an excuse to be a little more adventurous. We went to Amphora and the food was amazing, well priced and there was a good variety of options. The cafe itself is nice, spacious and has an additional outdoor seating area too. We tried a variety of meals and we really enjoyed the chorizo omelette, fajita panini and the Amphora breakfast with a lovely hot chocolate. Highly recommend , will definitely be returning!

Two of us sat outside in the sunshine for a delicious light lunch . We both chose mushrooms on toast . My Americano coffee was the perfect beverage to go with it . They have a wonderful selection of cakes . I wish I didn't have to consider my waistline !
