Always have a great time at amarone,staff very friendly and helpful exspecially Parveen. Food is good and has always been since i started going there when it opened from waitress valentine too now jocelyn Will remain going there for food and wine in near future.

Ate here with the family . Greeted by warm friendly staff. Very grand decor. The food was excellent. Service was good especially the girl from Egypt. In all very good highly recommend here for Italian food

Great food and lovely surroundings. Been many times previously, however our waitress on this occasion was a bit abrupt and was constantly trying to upsell items e.g. asking if we'd like side dishes with our mains, would we like another bottle of wine when we had not yet finished the first one, did we want cocktails etc etc. Also unhappy with the 10% service charge which, on a bill of over £250, was quite a chunk and more than we would have normally tipped. I realise you can ask for this to be removed, but does anyone actually do that? Shame as we really like the food. She also removed a plate from one of our party before the rest of us had finished eating. A big no no.

Visited while in Aberdeen on business , what can I say , simply stunning surroundings, wonderful food , wine and staff. The mussels were outstanding, my colleagues had the sea bream which looked beautiful… I won’t hesitate on coming back , superb food… welcoming staff

Came back to take advantage of the VIP offer re pizza. Botond took care of us and done very well, was there to answer any questions and deliver the pizzas, drinks and desserts. Pizzas were freshly cooked and tasty as usual. We enjoy coming here and will continue to do so.

It was a very disappointing evening at Amarone. We arrived and were seating quickly despite not having booked. We ordered, including a bottle of wine. They use massive glasses, and the speed the waiter poured the wine by upending the bottle into the glass was something I had never seen before in any other establishment. The staff hover around constantly. One waitress, without being asked or saying a word, attempted to refill our wine. She simply walked over and picked up the bottle. It plainly feels like they're attempting to rush you out the door. Honestly, if they had carried pitchforks to prod us to hurry, it wouldn't have surprised me. I would also like to thank  the complete stranger fellow diners for their company. The tables are ridiculously close together. Unfortunately, the food was not great, with the lasagne served being inedible. The rest of our food was bland and generally a letdown. To be fair, the main waiter did pick up on our disappointment and did not charge us for lasagne. He also served us a complimentary round of Lemoncello's. Was this just a bad night or an indication of their normal service? Unfortunately, I believe the latter. Would we return? No.

Service not bad, but not great either. Atmosohere is nice, interior design is great. Food is not great. I had duck liver pate, which was chicken liver.. maybe had duck liver in it too, but it was super grey and tasted like chicken liver. I like it, but don’t put on the menu duck liver pate. Beef carpaccio, grilled orada, and spagetti with scallops were at best OK. Maybe average but maybe even a bit below average. Sourdough bread is not quite sourdough - at least not the sourdough that you can buy in an artisan bakery or what you bake at home.. Kids cheesy pasta tasted like pasta with sour cream only. Pino grigio white wine was ok. Had better before Not great experience all in all. So, all in all not a great experience.

Starters and mains are absolutely delicious. Pizza is perfect and portions are a good size. Desserts are great and wonderfully presented. The service was magnificent, my server was attentive and had great energy.

Came here for lunch with hubby as we are VIP and would get 40% off our meal. Its January so why not?! We received a warm welcome form Parveen as usual and were seated quickly. We soon realised that he was on his own and serving everyone food, drinks, taking orders etc. I felt so bad for him, I wanted to clear the tables to help! Food was as delicious and freshly made as usual and served quickly given the circumstances. I hope Parveen got help in for later and got a well deserved rest too! There was no need for an apology for the delay as we totally understood the reason. We will be back. Again.

Excellent meal for a graduation party of 4 on 28/06/23. All members of our party enjoyed starters, mains and desserts on the graduation menu as well as drinks. The seafood pasta, spicy chorizo pasta and tiramisu were highlights. One member of our party isn't too keen on Italian food too much garlic for their taste, however, or waiter was wonderful and communicated with the chef to ensure the sauce on the chicken dish of the graduation menu was served separately. Fantastic restaurant especially for a special occasion!

Beautiful place to go for a tasty pizza in Aberdeen

The venue was nice inside but as someone going in there on my own i didnt feel welcome, you can tell your a nuisance and they want you in and out asap as theyre not going to make much money off you... i was seated, fed and billed within 20 minutes, as soon as i put my fork down, with food still on my plate, it was whisked away and i was handed the bill. I felt very uncomfortable there. The food i had was bland and nothing special at all and a small portion too. I wont be back.

We came here Saturday night. They had a menu with 3 courses for £20 per person. The food was delicious - I would recommend the chicken pollo and the focaccia. The service was good and we will definitely come back again soon.

Staff was kind there I can’t say no but they were very specific. Maybe bc there were busier with bigger tables and I was just young person by myself I did feel a lil on the side but there were really nice. Place was looking very nice and clean. January 2024: A few days ago I visited this restaurant again after over 2 years and I regret to say that this time I was disappointed. We also came to celebrate special day, this time my birthday. We were offered rosé Proseco, which we agreed to thinking it will be one glass, on the house as previously. However, we were not informed that it would be a whole bottle and what its cost would be. This only turned out to be the case when we asked for the bill after the entire dinner (£29,95 for the bottle). In addition, a tip was added, which was not included during the previous visit. The food was good, but the menu was different and the dish, which I had previously eaten and really enjoyed was not available on it. Just like before we felt appreciated, this time we felt ripped off. There are so many restaurants in the city that you can freely choose and you will certainly find more than one that will be able to please the customer and make him leave appreciated. I probably won't come back here any time soon. September 2021: My visit to this restaurant was related to my sister's birthday. Not only the ordered dish, Bruschetta Rustica & Pollo Funghi e Pancetta were absolutely delicious, we were also treated to Prosecco at the company's expense. It was a very nice gesture and my sister's birthday made it even more enjoyable. The staff looked after us well, all the time asking if everything was alright. I can definitely recommend this place if you have any occasion to celebrate or spend time in a place with an exquisite and friendly atmosphere. You will certainly feel appreciated. Thank you "Amarone", on behalf of myself and my sister, for making this day special.

Mooie plek om te zitten, met vriendelijk personeel. Vooraf reserveren zou ik wel aanraden bij dit restaurant i.v.m. de drukte. De mocktail was erg lekker. De pasta met garnalen vonden wat tegen vallen. Was niet vies, maar ook niet fantastisch. De pizza daar in tegen was heerlijk. Toetjes waren ook lekker en mooi gepresenteerd.

Have gone here quite a few times in the past few years. Their vegetarian options seem to have gone down in recent times. Would be good to see more veggie friendly dishes in pasta category too. Good ambience and food quality.

We thought we would try the Hogmanay Dinner Dance at this restaurant as the food menu seemed good,our table was booked for 8pm we got seated by 19.50 and ordered 2 drinks, we then had a before starter which was a Cauliflower Bon Bon which didn’t have any flavour and was very bland, we then ordered our Starter and our main meal,the starter came at 20.48pm we had a Smoked Salmon Cauliflower Purée which was very Bland and cold and it came with Fish Eggs which wasn’t listed on the menu,I had the Scallops which was Okay but was cold,we then waited until 22.45 to get our main meal which was Cod with Prawns with Courgette the Courgettes were inedible,I ordered the fillet Steak with Chips and a Peppercorn Sauce which was also flavourless,we ordered our desserts which were Profiteroles with a Hazelnut Sauce which were just okay the other dessert was a lemon tart with a white chocolate dome the tart was flavourless and hard as rock we were that unhappy that we payed our bill and left the restaurant before the bells rang in,there was other tables that sat down after our table and the table next to us but they got there meals before we did. This meal was £150 and they wanted us to pay £16 service charge which we refused to pay,if you are going to charge this amount of money to your customers you will need to do a lot better next time we felt very let down by this meal,we both said to ourselves that we wished we had got a Kebab takeaway,we will not return to your restaurant.

Myself my husband and a few friends visited the restaurant last night for the 1st time and we was not disappointed,as soon as we entered we where taken to our table straight away then given our drunks menu no waiting about like some places I have Been too.we all only had a main meal but it was absolutely beautiful full of flavour and great portions.price of meal also was fantastic great value for money and we'll definitely be paying another visit this month.thank you.

Visited for breakfast with my husband. Waiter was friendly and the decor is lovely. Ordered two full Scottish breakfasts. Quality of food was good. However, the wait for the breakfast was far too long. Nothing to do with being busy… we were the only ones there!

On arrival we did not have a booking but it was early on a Monday evening and it didn’t look busy. The restaurant looked so elegant and stylish. Our drinks order was taken - no drinks arrived. Our meal order was taken, the meal arrived before our drinks did. Now that’s a disappointment. One had Pizza he said it was OK. I had mussels they were absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. Staff around us were attentive when we needed anything-just a bit slow on the drink service. I don’t know what it would be like if it was a busy night. We enjoyed the experience just a bit of tweaking required on the drink service. We ordered 2 glasses would have ordered a bottle but service too slow.

Very busy but service quick, however the food was extremely disappointing. Chicken salad was less salad more KFC on a lettuce leaf drowning in mayonnaise. Chicken pesto pasta had very little chicken and was edible but nothing to write home about. Side of spinach was so disgusting we had it taken away. Felt ill as we left. Service at end of meal was hurried, bordering on rude. Would not go back.

Forgot to write a review after trip in November so this is two in one! The visit in November - excellent welcome form the manager who knew my name (must be going too much!) and the male server told my husband his favourite food was back on the menu. We were both impressed with them both. Makes you feel like a valued customer. Yesterdays visit - we were given some mulled wine - sadly hubby couldnt have his glass as he was driving. Again the manager remembered my name and directed us swiftly to our table. Amarone was quite busy yesterday due to Christmas - nice atmosphere. Food both times was freshly cooked and very tasty. Friendly and helpful servers both times - Matvey and Botand. We will be back again in the new year - couldnt not visit my second home again!

We arrived for a rare lunch out few weeks before Christmas and there were lots of tables free. We chose food from the lunch menu which came in good time and was scrumptious. The waiter was efficient, helpful and pleasant without being obtrusive. Definitely recommended.

Booked a table for dinner on a Friday evening whilst visiting family. The restaurant was busy but the staff were still very attentive. Food and drinks were good. Would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely visit again when in Aberdeen.

Fantastic food, fantastic service, highly recommended

I've eaten here before so was looking forward to this. Sadly the food wasn't up to much, the foccacia was OK but there was very little seasoning or herbs on it apart from a pile around the middle. The pizza was OK but nothing outstanding. It wasn't very busy that night and I didn't leave as I had before having a really nice experience it was a little underwhelming to be honest.

Went here for dinner on Saturday Night the waiter spilled red wine on my boyfriends T shirt (expensive as in £350) was told it was only “spilt on the seat” which it was not. Our table was booked for 6.30pm and that was a good time to come as it was much busier later on. This restaurant is right on Union Street in Aberdeen. I thought the service and attention was excellent and there was a happy atmosphere to the place. I had a lovely meal and was able to indulge in my favourite pudding it was just so nice. I would definitely recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. I also recommend this place very highly.
