Amaretto Ristorante in Harrow

I ordered a pizza which came through at a reasonable value for the size and quality. The salad was very large, though very disappointing; one might assume it would match the photos on the website (with dark greens and balsamic vinaigrette), however this was mostly limp and pale rocket, and cheap nutrition-less iceberg-type lettuce that probably came from some big supplier, topped with some sort of cheap ranch or other fatty dressing. The worst was that the ordering service seemingly hadn't conveyed any of my asks I'd made at checkout to the driver so he arrived with the wrong change and notifying us in a different way than requested - this made him irritated (though he handled it some maturely) and asking me to answer by his way *shrugs shoulders*. It was a few minutes later than scheduled.

Went lunch time. Very quiet, no atmosphere, no music. Service not attentive. Expensive for what we ate. Salads.

The food was delicious. When we ordered our main meal the waitress said “ you can have 2 side orders “. We took that to mean, 2 each. So we ordered two veg each. When the bill came we were charged for two each. BUT THE MENU SAYS “ main course includes one side “. My friend would only have asked for spinach and I would have taken broccoli. But as the waitress said , you can have two. We did. She should have said one each. Now I feel we were ripped off.

Ameretto is situated in the centre of Edgware. The food is very good with generous portions. (See photos). Service is good and polite.

Regularly eat here with friends. The food is authentically Italian and always of a very high standard, served promptly and hot except the salads which are at their appropriate temperature :-). The serving staff are attentive and get the orders right. Good value for money. One of he best Tiramisu for miles around.

Friends went to celebrate birthday and we all our were impressed by the quality of food, ambiance and service. The portions were of good size and reasonably priced. We all were vegetarian and good choice of food.

Went here today based on a friends rave reviews. However the garlic bread bland no garlic and was ulta thin covered in a watery tomato sauce. The pasta ravoli was chewy and soon became boring to eat after a few moutfulls. Limited sauce with this dish. The carbonara was very liauid like which didnt taste like carbonara should. We know what italian dishes should be like as we have tasted better in other restaurants in london and abroad. Even the fries should have been cooked for longer. Will not be returning.

The food has always been delicious, portions big and staff are fabulously helpful! Cannot recommend this place!

We were a party of 4 and visited last night. Very impressed by the overall cleanliness and further the automatic sanitiser at the front door was impressive. Great service and we all had huge portions served hot and nicely presented. The staff were great and this is by far our favourite local Italian.

Ordered the other week and no food came, they blamed thier website. Booked again and guess what blamed their website. I guess yku could say dont use the website, but I just wont use this place again

Very busy Italian place. Food good. Service started well but by the end got slower as they were getting busier & not enough staff I think. Overall good restaurant & food.

Just posted a review from last year (as I forgot) and have just recently visited today. Just to say nothing has changed: they are still an outstanding restaurant. Good, honest Italian food with fun, thoughtful and considerate service. We did have an issue, which the staff went to all efforts to resolve, and resolve they did. Can’t recommend it highly enough! ( Covid Secure too).

The best local italian in north west london! We come every week and the owner and staff are always so warm and welcoming. Pollo alla Milanese is a must! Portions are good and it’s great value. It’s always our go to for a good quality italian meal!

I never witness more disgusting behaviour from staff members working over there. Two males been treating me just like an sexual object while my husband went to toilet, continuesly giving me disgusting looks and im general made me feel extremelly uncomfortable. Restaurant was not even busy and our food came to our table after almost 50 minutes waiting. I ask for parmesan cheese for my pasta, the tall male bring it over and being whispering in my ear ,,would u like more darling". Me and my husband reach the point when we had enough, as this behaviour is absolutelly disgusting and unacceptable, we didnt touch our food, stand up and walk out. Im not willing to step into this place ever in my life.

Lovely food and lovely service- Decor not much but it did not matter as I was with two friends but if I was looking a romantic venue this would not be the place. But it was food I came for and the portions were huge and tasty and very good. The service was a very good. All in all a great place.

Without doubt, this is my favourite Italian! Outstanding, authentic Italian food cooked with love, great service and excellent ambience. Can’t recommend it enough! Superb starters, pizza and pasta. Especially liked the al ferno aspect of the food, piping hot from a wood-fire oven. Go and enjoy!

We've been to Amaretto in Edgware a few times before, but I have to say that our visit on Saturday night surpassed all our previous visits. The food was plentiful and delicious, and although the 3 of us ordered completely different meals, we were all very, very pleased with the food, the service and the price. Well done Amaretto, we will definitely be coming back to visit you again. You really do know how to run a successful restaurant - may your success continue for a long time to come!

A last minute booking at Amaretto Edgware proved a fabulous choice. An evening out with friends was made more enjoyable by the excellence of the food, service and atmosphere in this restaurant. The staff were most welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much. Value for money, most definitely. Will we return, most definitely. Will we recommend this restaurant, most definitely.

We recently visited this restaurant for a "quick bite" and we thought why not try a local pizza/Italian restaurant?. Firstly the staff were very polite and tge service was very good.Secondly, the food was amazing! We ordered pizza and we did not regret itThank you!

Great service and the food was good. We had the americana pizza with extra toppings with of course a bottle of red wine. Price was great, we cant wait to go back again.

We ate here from the fixed price menu of £12.95 per head. For this price we had soup to start with and lasagne to follow. The front of house was very welcoming and the service was good. I usually enjoy Italian food and this was no exception. I'd be happy to return next time I am in Edgware.

I have been to this restaurant with friends several times and it it cannot be faulted. The staff are cheerful and friendly, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is very pleasant.

Had the grilled veg for my starter and was very disappoiinted. It is served col (would be much better served hot) and consisted of a couple of slices of courgettes and a couple of sliced of aubergine. That was all I could est because the only other veg was very hard carrot slices which I found inedible. Made up for it with the spag bol (very tasty) and a huge portion of choc fudge cake (very, very nice).It is a good restaurant but £5.90 for a couple of cold grilled veg is ridiculously dear. Also I was expecting grilled peppers or grilled onion (much nicer)!

£12.95 menu for a starter and main (pizza or pasta) is really worthwhile.

On my first visit, I was really impressed with the quality of the food and the portion sizes. This appears to be family run restaurant with an excellent service. My second visit was just as enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Value for money. Lovely tasty food. Good vegetarian options

I visited this restaurant in Edgware with my friend for a birthday meal. First of all the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The drinks order came very quickly as did the food. The size of the portions is very generous, my friends smoked salmon and prawn starter was more like a main meal and she said it was very nice.

This is the one in Hale Lane, Edgware - not Harrow! First time we had been there and I must say we were quite impressed with the food which was very, very nice. The portions were massive! I had the prawns and smoked salmon to start and although I was a bit disappointed not to get any bread with it, I didn't actually need it as it was enough for a main course! After I had the chicken in breadcrumbs which was served with spaghetti bolognaise and I was so full up I couldn't even finish it and I always try to never leave any food on the plate! Both dishes very tasty. Friendly staff and the food came up piping hot and very quickly. Would definitely go there again.

Pretty place from the outside turned out to be quite spacious, with typical menu of pasta, pizza and Italian meats. Portions are hearty, not looking to impress but tasty enough.

Went for a quick late lunch/early evening meal with family. Used to come often whilst I was closer Barnet way. Previously enjoyed the good portion size and honest home cooked pasta flavours with plenty of variety.

Went here with a friend at lunchtime. We had fresh homely Italian food - two courses each - lovely friendly service and a bill of under £ 20 for the lot. Amazing value and recommended

I order a pizza capriciousa and it was disgusting,uncooked,the sauce was more like water (to bad I can't not put a photo ),and pasta,well no words no taste no nothing and the chicken worse! Very very disappointed,I use to go there on special occasions but I will not going back .

A bunch of friends, some of whom had not seen each other for 35 years, used this a venue for a reunion last night and it turned out to be an inspired choice. Service was excellent- admittedly helped by the fact that the restaurant was not busy- and the food was generally well received. My Insilata Tricolore was adequate but the Penne Diavolo was very good as was the naughty Zabaglione I shared with my wife. The bill for 11 people came to £264 with service which was very reasonable. More people should be trying this friendly restaurant so that it can keep afloat in difficult times.

Really enjoyed the food I ordered. This time I received the lettuce in with my main course which was great. Looked really good as well. Just wish the food wouldn't so expensive, after all they are takeaway dishes. If I had to fault the overall experience it would have to be the app. Would have liked to receive a notification to say when my food was delivered as it was very early. The app should be more accurate with the times it says to customers for when the food should arrive.

The food was very tasty but the New Year baked cheesecake size was tiny for £4.50 it was ridiculous, half the size of a normal slice of cheesecake. I wouldn't order again for this reason.

Was a little disappointed that there wasn't a small portion of lettuce in with the chicken dish to improve the meal. The dish could have done with a little more cream sauce, especially as I ordered even more food with it. Apart from these minor issues that could be easily improved the food was enjoyable & the delivery was very quick.

The spaghetti bolognese was fine but the saltimbocca was overcooked, dry and cold and did not come with one veg as described. £13 for three bits of meat left me unimpressed, the whole thing ended up in the bin. If they served you three bits of cold, dry meat, on a plate, with nothing else in a restaurant you would refuse to pay. You have no choice when ordering in. The only good thing is that it arrived on time.

Food delivered 55 mins late, pizza tough and average, calamari was ok, Focaccia rock hard, Parmigiana salad tasty (you can't really go wrong with a salad). Disappointing first delivery from Amaretto (even though this was Easter Weekend)

Delivery came on time but food was very bland I had to add spices and even then it wasn't great and the garlic pizza bread was cold when it got to us.

Ordered pizza and lasagne. We liked the pizza but lasagne was overlooked, mushy and the white sauce was curdled, almost like a frozen ready meal.

Pizzas came almost totally cold and the dessert was completely melted. Food would have been great if not for this as the food was very tasty. In addition the delivery guy asked if we'd paid (which we already had) when he came to deliver which should have been known.

Todo el suculento pan frito de lubina en mantequilla, tan fresco y no a precios de West End. Por desgracia, los postres son un poco regular - aunque he oído cosas buenas sobre su zabaglione (evitar dietas. ) Consejo: si encontrar las mesas un poco abarrotado, probar su nueva sucursal en Golders Green. Hay un poco más de espacio. Por Edgware, reserva la noche esencial.

A great service! The food was delivered very quickly & was thoroughly enjoyable. If I had to fault something it would have to be the fact they don't offer any desserts on the menu. This was a shame as the meal would have been perfect. Hope desserts get added soon, as I have a sweet tooth. Nevertheless it was really good.

Yo comimos allí dos veces después de la primera comida era tan bueno. Primera cena era Gnocchi en salsa de queso, excelente. Segunda noche Bruchetta seguido de hígados de pollo en salsa de vino y tocino, de nuevo excepcional. Tan buena como la que he comido en Italia. Vino o cerveza es a un precio razonable. El personal era amable y encantador.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was hot and tasty, the menu variable. This was our 4th visit to the Amaretto Ristoranti, If you like Italian cuisine this is the place to go in Edgware, fully recommend it.

It was the worst Italian meal I have ever had. It took ages for it to be delivered, the pizza was rock hard and dry; we couldn't even break it apart.It was absolutely tasteless and I cannot believe that this food could even be served. Do not get a takeaway from here!!!!!

the food is awful, not what you wood expect from a "restaurant"..fries were soaked in oil, probably refried several times, pizza was one of the worst ever eaten..and on top of that delivery took over 1h. safe to say won't be ordering again!
