We went there for a skittles match, we didn't have any food so I can not comment on that.

Staff are friendly and professional. The food exceeded my expectations.

We decided to host our own Christmas party with friends and children. We hired the Moxon room and decided on take up the offer of a Buffett they provided. I’m so pleased we did because we were able to spend all our time together celebrating Christmas and the Buffett was brought into the room at our chosen time. The food was delicious! The staff were amazing and a special thank you to Beccy who was extremely helpful and kind throughout the booking process. We can’t wait to do the same again next year! If you’re looking to hire space and be catered for then Almondsbury creative is your place. Very reasonable priced and perfect for every occasion!

Avoid any of these events! Attended the “cider & pie festival” what a shocking set up. Ran out of cider! 🤣 literally ran out!! One pie stall charging the earth, yes one stall. Queues for over 40 mins, the poor staff did the best they could. Never been charged entrance for something so poorly organised. I think my child could have done better!!

We purchased 16 tickets for the Cider & Pie Festival but sadly would never return. This event was very poor due to running out of Cider & Pie very early, the queue for purchasing the drinks vouchers was long and then once you had the vouchers the queue for drink was even longer, nearly 45 min wait to get a warm cider, on 2nd attempt to spend vouchers they had sold out. Also no pies which I would add was £12 and the other food was very over priced as well. We were advised we could not bring any food but people around us had brought in food. I did try and speak to the organiser on the day with no luck and as security advised me on leaving lots of people complaining and leaving early. One member of staff told me they had more people than expected , I did point out it was a ticket event and surely they knew how many tickets they sold !! We left and went to local pub for food and drink , it was packed with everyone wearing green wristbands so this speaks volume. They had all left the festival and gone where they could get a drink and food. I have messaged the venue since but not got anywhere, they seem to think everyone was happy and having fun. Our friends along with many others joined the queue to get a refund on drinks vouchers they had purchased as impossible to purchase drinks as either warm larger or sold out !!. I can assure you we have spoken with so many people on the day and since who felt it was a very overpriced badly organised event. How can you run out of Cider & Pie so early !! Maybe it would be better to call it a music festival and let people bring their own drink and picnic. Don’t waste your money.

Disgraceful organised cider and beer festival ran out of cider and pies very early on, enormous queues at drink stations and bar with minimal staff serving, payed £55 for a pair of tickets with other people showing ticket barcodes that had already been used so getting in for free, absolute shambles.

Bought tickets for the cider and pie festival, it’s my own fault for paying 80 quid for a family and not realising that no pie or cider was included in the price. 5.50 for a pint of warm cider and by 5.30pm most had run out. My partner queued for an hour, yes an hour to get a pint of lager and totally missed the wurzels. Our friends came last year and highly recommended it but this year they said it was completely different and very expensive. 30 mins queue for warm cider and and hour for a pint of lager makes this a bit of a joke. 7.50 for a hot dog and a fiver for cheesy chips…..a very expensive waste of time to be honest.

We booked the hall for a surprise party. We were told the hall holds 200 people.. That is clearly a lie. We had about 90 attend the party and it was so cramped, not enough tables, when we were told they had plenty. The staff were so rude! I would never book this place again.

Myself and a colleague broke down last Weds evening in the gridlocked motorway traffic and ended up at the Cricket Club whilst waiting for the recovery lorry. My diabetes was playing up a bit, and the barmaid, Abbi was so helpful, and even served us food when the kitchen was due to close, thus saving me from getting worse. Fair play to her and her colleagues. ( Added bonus of watching some cricket as well). Thanks Abbi and colleague Lauren.

We heard a rumour that Almondsbury Creative was one of just a few places selling Thatcher's Blood Orange Cider, so we went along to find out. Had a lovely Sunday afternoon sat in the sun there. Also had some food, which was pretty good, especially for the price. Although it was great, I have to admit, I miss the ease of being able to order from the table with the app... but I guess I'm just being lazy.

Sat in this place right now and couldn’t be more disgusted ! The tables are so sticky my wine glass stuck to it ! Chairs are filthy too . Wouldn’t even dare use the ladies as I can only imagine what they might be like . Our lunch was luke warm , veg went between raw to boiled to death ! We ordered cauliflower cheese as an extra which was equally as awful , watery and tasteless . Will never come back here and certainly cannot recommend this place . Can’t wait to get out to be honest . Only one upside the two members of staff were very lovely , polite and attentive ,

Honestly... the children's entertainment was amazing. The food let the place down. I had the roast beef Sunday lunch .After almost a two hour wait it arrived cold, the vegetables were a complete let down, on the plate was red cabbage, white cabbage and frozen roast potatoes. The beef was so tough I even tried using a steak knife . In the end I gave up and left the meal . I mentioned to the member of staff( who collected my plate) that I couldn't eat it as it arrived cold , he said " oh dear sorry " . So for children entertainment perfect.

Me and a friend went for the burger and beer deal for £6 on Tuesday. Upon our arrival at 18:40 we were informed that the chef had popped out for ten minutes. Not a major issue we ordered the burger and beer deal paid our £12 and sat down with our beers. 10, 20, 30minutes passed with no sign of the chef after around 35 minutes I went to the bar and asked if the chef had returned, to which I was informed he had indeed not. I explained to the member of staff behind the bar that we couldn't wait any longer with no guarantee when he would return and asked for a refund. Now although perfectly acceptable I was a little surprised that he proceeded to refund the difference between the burger and beer deal and the drinks, after all I really don't feel a chef should be disappearing for over half an hour during food service. Overall it's a real shame as the place is nice and the drinks are reasonable.

This was Almondsbury social club now been totally revamped and is a great place to eat and drink food is well prepared and a good choice of beers and wines at great prices

We came with the family for the kids club on Friday. Ozzy the magician was absolutely brilliant. We also came with the family to the Mamma Mia event on mother's day. It was fab and we had an amazing time. Excellent staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Thanks

Went for Sunday lunch at 1pm and didn’t get food served until 2pm. Lots of staff but no one seeming to know or care what they were doing. Food is OK but staff are not customer focused and need some training.

We had an absolute amazing time at the Anna and Elsa Christmas brunch. Will definitely be back for other events.

Great place. Went for my works Christmas do. Very lively place with a real mix of people. Darts, karaoke,skittles and great food and drink. Seemed they had a kids part going when we arrived so they cater to everyone. Had a really great night , would definitely recommend for large parties.

Friendly place and a handy spot after having played football on the astro virtually opposite. I really enjoyed the Sunday Roast which was nicely cooked and well priced. Reckon I will go again!

Best pub in the area if you have children

I keep using the words cosy and amazing for my reviews but this is indeed a great place to go for a meal,or to take your family there.We went down to watch a football game and it's got TVs everyone and a huge projector.Food is American ish ,tasty and plenty.Will definitely visit again.

Swung by to see if the Lions was on. Friendly greetings by Garth and a couple of lads. Bar lady from Ebbw Vale was super tidy nice. No complaints, nice location, sport on the box. Super easy app to order food. However the "Chips n SH#£" are all you need. Mega. Chips, chilli, cheese, bacon and jalapenos. Enough for two. Well stuffed.

Had a lovely boozy afternoon tea there, staff very friendly and were more than happy to keep topping us up 😁

I recently (unfairly) gave this venue a one star. That was wrong of me, it was shooting from the hip after a bad food experience. However, the venue itself is ok, and the staff are polite and attentive. The outdoor seating, looks over a cricket pitch / tennis courts and some gazebo style sun shade is provided. A tiny, playground is present but not enough within it to occupy a toddler. Would go back for outdoor drinks.

Ordered a drink, it arrived quickly, drank it and left. Nothing more to add.

A fantastic afternoon tea with cocktails, all you can drink! The sandwiches and cakes were all freshly made and the selection of drinks on offer was fantastic. We had a great time! Would highly recommend.

I travelled from Wales to come here for a bottomless afternoon tea on the May bank holiday weekend. Outdoor dining only at the time but the tables were under cover of a marquee. Food was great and plentiful. The service was fab, very accommodating to dietary requirements. Very relaxed environment and our glasses felt like they were never empty! It was really good value for money. There was a bbq also happening along side which looked and smelt amazing. A lot of effort had obviously gone into making this event safe and successful. Would go back for future events.

Lovely family place by day. Not good at night to many drunk people and lots of fighting. Seems to be the same crowd who start trouble all the time. Won't be going there again , nor will a few other people I spoke to.

Due to lockdown we could not go out for a Burns night meal , so Almondsbury Creative decided to do a free delivery service , £20 for a three course meal with a small bottle of whiskey .The meal was fantastic, hot, and tasty haggis with a whiskey cream sauce , very recommend this place

Was very disappointed about circus event yesturday as it was very mismatched with a fairy coming out doing bubbles and a hoola hoopa who kepy coming out a man on stilts doing nothing just walking around rheres were long gaps in between even if they had clowns or acrobats in between r stilt msn entertaining prehaps juggling i was embarrassed as i had raved so much.tofriend about how great previous weeks had been so she came along and thought it was boring also the kids got bored.wondering if it gonna be worth coming along again

Almondsbury has been the perfect place to get together with friends since the easing of lockdown. They have loads of tables that are very spread out on the field, with table service via an app. Loads of independent food vans that are selling lush food at a good price. Brilliant evening always, and clearly enjoyed by all ages.

Have been to Almondsbury Creative Club the last 2 Saturdays. Seating is well spaced out, hand gel available on entry, ordering can be done on Dines app, waiters deliver drinks promptly , everything had been done to make you feel perfectly safe. Four different food vans serving delicious food and last Saturday even a dessert stall - yum yum. All in all a brilliant place to eat lovely food, meet up with friends and feel safe. Pre lockdown I went every week due to my daughters dance club being in the hall, but this soon became somewhere where we chose to go, and looked forward to! Easy going atmosphere, great prices, friendly staff, fantastic options for the kids (including Saturday cinema morning) and even a 40th girls night here which was fab! Post lockdown, we have attended the “farm” which has been created to adhere to the “new norm” and it was fantastic! Table service, children playing, food stalls and another great atmosphere with family and adult areas! Can’t wait to go back already! Hats off to the owner (Garth I think) for being inventive and enticing us back for more

this Saturday we booked in an afternoon slot after a visit to the Wild place located short distance away and really glad we did. The set up was great, the staff did a great job, the food vendors were excellent and we all had a great few hours. In the current climate, it's not easy to get things right but it seems like a great idea. Lots of space for the kids to play, everyone in the family area was friendly and the table service worked perfectly. Both families that went are looking forward to the next visit

We ate and drank on well spaced out park benches. My wife had the melted cheese dish and I had the pork from the serving wagons. Food was excellent. Easy to order drinks through their app.

We visited this venue and decided to leave. Social distancing was not being adhered to during COVID, and it was not seated only as advertised, which was why we thought it would’ve been safe. When contacting the venue afterwards with my concerns I was told ‘unfortunately we can not control if tables choose to chat without distancing’. Given the current situation this is not a good response.

My group went to attend however upon arrival saw what looked like crowds of people in the marquee and was worried, so we left.When asked directly on a social media site about the safety, they said "Unfortunately we cannot control tables if they choose to chat without social distancing". The Venue should control people as per their own risk assessment indicates.They have also posted on social media to ignore the bad reviews (see pics for proof) and to only post positive ones. Just a suggestion.... reply with a decent answer and maybe a solution? Also, don't report the review as fraud just because you dont like the opinion.When people who are looking for safe covid places to go, we look at these sites to make sure it's safe for loved ones. If they can't control patrons then it isn't safe and they have admitted this.If they were to address this for the public and to make a few changes to be safe, I would attend with my family as this could possibly be a great place to go.

A wonderful venue that is reminiscent of the 20th century good old days n the pub, drinks are reasonable, it's got a good crowd and great atmosphere

I was pleasantly surprised by this interesting venue with its distinct yet confusing name when visiting for Sunday Lunch as part of a group of 20 last weekend. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and a great place for the kids to explore and enjoy. Its big - sprawling almost, with a skittle alley and a small cinema as well as a huge bar space. I great place to relax and settle into. The drinks are have delightfully retro prices which get even more retro during happy hour, where you can can get 3 drinks and still have change out of a tenner. The menu has a good selection of usual pub fare and there is a very well priced Sunday Lunch which costs a mere £12 for 3 courses. The food itself was tasty and in my view offered a value for money that is hard to find these days, particularly in a restaurant setting The happy staff were attentive, efficient and engaging. This place is a little rough around the edges but with the effort they are putting into this still young business, its only going to keep getting better. We will certainly be back for another visit soon.

A great local facility and just seen a brilliant local pantomime there which was well put together and very funny. Some historical one liners, local jokes and good production with some fun songs and, of course, plenty of audience participation.

Drinks VERY expensive! Maybe we were over charged on the night we were there but I think that paying nearly £9 for a large vodka and a splash of diet Pepsi rather excessive.

A Great Family friendly environment where we are always made to feel welcome . They are Always willing to help organise with party bookings and special events for occasions . Good prices and great food with different menus . A calm environment with pool, cinema room , skittles ,darts and games for the kids on offer. Always different things going on weekends . Hall for hire for partys too 👍

Friendly, relaxed atmosphere, although some children running around without supervision was annoying! However the staff look happy in their work and are friendly and polite. Premiership football on tv, as well as all other major sport. They are trying to update and get public using the place, so no membership needed and lots of events being organised. Join their facebook page for news and updates. I should add there is also a menu, so food available as well as cinema room for kids and rooms/ hall for hire so take a look.

This is a unique space. It's part social/sports club, part cafe, part restaurant, part pub but the sum of the parts really adds up to make a great whole. It has a skittle alley. A small movie theatre space. Pool table. Darts. Cheap bar. Friendly staff. Sport is on offer with the adjoining cricket pitch and tennis courts. Indoors I'm informed table tennis and badminton are on offer. Plus craft events, social events, dance classes. Etc. Etc. Staff are really friendly and it's just a great social space. Hope to spend more time here.

My family (wife and 2 boys) and I visited Almondsbury creative for dinner after buying a groupon voucher deal. We hadn't been before and were uncertain what to expect so were a little apprehensive before we arrived. Almondsbury creative is a bar / sports social club with a skittle alley, darts, pool table, cinema room as well as a number of tables where you can have dinner. It's not a gastropub or restaurant but what it does, it does well. My family and I really enjoyed our evening at Almondsbury creative. Firstly, it was busy on a Friday night which is always a good sign and there were a wide range of people having a good time including couples, groups of friends and families with small children. Children were running around playing and people were chatting and laughing altogether having a very enjoyable evening. It was a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff behind the bar were polite and good to chat to despite being incredibly busy serving food and drink. Drink-wise they have a wide range of beers and ciders both on draft and in bottles / cans, so something to suit everyone, in addition to non-alcoholic drinks that you would expect from a bar. The food is what you expect in a bar / sports club. They're not trying to be a gastropub or offering too wide a menu and so what is available is done very well. My family and I thought that the food was delicious. The fish and chips especially so, with a large portion of fish and delicious chips for a really reasonable price (2 for £10 on a Friday when we visited). My son had onion rings for starters and they were large, proper beer-battered onion rings, not the usual freezer bag offering. The burgers were generous and tasty too. We all left feeling full and happy that we visited. We would definitely return as it was fun and friendly, non-pretentious and a good place to be on a Friday night for a laugh, chat, drink and a meal.

Brilliant friendly relaxed place with games and kids cinema, big screen sports and music. Our group of seven had a corner bench seat perfect for a casual meal and drinks. Ample free parking outside when we went. Well recommended.

Excellent place been a few times

We were given a groupon voucher for almondsbury creative. We booked online as per instructions. Arrived at Almondsbury Creative last night only to be told there was no one cooking last night. No cooked food on Mondays or Tuesdays. No mention of this online. As our voucher expires today I wasn’t very happy and wasn’t able to go this evening. I was assured by a very helpful lady that the manager would ring me today to sort something. I have rung him twice but answerphone every time. Obviously not interested in my business. Only hope money will be refunded by groupon. Not recommended.

Friendly atmosphere with great value food and drink

We had such a lovely and pleasant experience here last week. Staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home, very clean place, food is really nice with a great menu choice and they even have a cinema room for the children. So much going on with events and everything is family focused. This really is a lovely place and caters for the whole family including my vegan partner which was great.I feel that one review in particular is incredibly unfair and maybe you visited somewhere else and maybe got the name mixed up, but also reading your other reviews you seem very hard to please. I personally highly recommended this venue for families and get a together with the whole family.Thank you for your hospitality, we have been and will be back.
