Ali's Kebab House in Peterborough

These people are worse than dogs they have no respect towards their customers the way they speak to people you wouldn’t say to your worst enemy the place is filthy and they try to rip you off that’s not the way business is done if you want customers to return

I don't understand why are so many bad reviews, I was scared to eat from here for a long time, until I started... And since then I have eaten many times (takeaway but also ordering) the food always was good and the prices are very affordable! My order tonight (pictures attached) was cheese fries and hawaiian pizza(extra mushroom/olive topping).. both delicious. I also took some close-up pictures to show that the pizza was not burnt on the contrary it was soft.🤤 Plus I asked in the notes to put ham only if it was halal, and a guy from staff called me just to make sure my food would arrive 100% halal... So I send a lot of love to that guy. 🙏🏼❤️

Been going here for years now . But don't think I'll go until it changes hands again. After a somewhat drunken offer to pay again for my food and being reminded I had pai, one of the other staff then tried to scam me into paying again saying it hadn't gone through. Even after showing him my bank transfer going through. Stull said I hadn't paid. Wonder how many other times they try to take advantage of somewhat inebriated public. Avoid unless your sober.

Tell Ali what you like. Fresh . grub on-site. I've ordered from Alis kebab house now about 18 times. That says it all i'd say. But I'll tell you Alis kebab house food is absolutely delicious. 3 nights ago I got quarterpounder and chips delicious fresh burger piping hot chips. Obviously with the cheesy garlic bread which is the best in Peterborough lots of cheese cook to perfection. Maybe I'm being a bit greedy but I ordered a pizza as well. Actually that's the best pizza I've had in a very very long time . Nice delicious thin crust pizza base cooked to perfection Their own special pizza sauce which is yummy lovely cheese and beautiful toppings not greasy at all. Great customer service Leona Ali is a lovely down to Earth man always there to help Is customers. You can tell it's not just about making money with this business it's about serving people delicious food. Decent prices fast delivery. Highly recommend this establishmen Order from Alis kebab house you will not be disappointed. Photos below.

Bad taste too many condiments and very little taste

One of the servers shouted at my wife for taking a picture of the kebab spit, as it’s been ages since we had a kebab and she wanted to post a picture of it. My guess is the guy slicing did not have legal documents to be working, as why else would you get so irate about somebody taking a picture? Let’s see if they respond to explain why…

Worst place to eat ! I ordered a large Donner , that's mean with meat . The donner was full of vegetables and no meat ! The staff is horrible ! Avoid this place !

Made extremely rude comments when asking people about their night. Called customers “gay”, and other derogotary comments, very insulting to customers It's was my first experienced it's expensive 20£ but when I receive after 40 minutes it's was no added sauce ,mayo and salad and I will call back him he speaks rudely and insulting me next time don't take order from here

Ordered 10-15 mins prior to avoid waiting around the drunk customers, still had to wait 15 minutes once arriving. Then get home to find out my order was wrong. Quality of the food was great and service was polite but the rest of it is a joke.

I work in a take away and I’m certain when a customer writes a requirement on the receipt the employers should make sure they can reach them however not only did I ask for all sauces and salads I also called and they still couldn’t sort anything

Ordered on Just Eat but the app kept having a bug. So I cancelled the order twice, I then received a phone call from Ali's Kebab House asking why. I explained that Just Eat was having issues, the guy on the phone offered to send the food and pay in cash instead, I said this wouldn't be possible as I didn't have cash. He then rudely told me not to order again and hung up the phone. The food is always great but this has put me off now.

Was surprising fast for service taking 45 mins at peak time to deliver.... time was saved by sending out frozen chips and a toddler sized portion for a large kebab....... with all the competion for this kind of food in pboro I would've expected edible food at least

TINY PORTIONS Large kebab ting is three strips of meat 6 chips and a saucer size naan Poor value for money Tiny tiny kebabs!

Went there Thursday night/Friday morning, ordered 2 lamb doner and they said they only had enough to do mix of lamb and chicken to which we agreed as hungry. £15 for a small portion of just chicken kebab!!! No lamb or salad. Rip off and unhygienic, never again

My friend and I went to Ali's after a night out. We placed our order and paid by card but the man behind the counter kept saying it hadn't gone through so I had to do it again. After numerous times of trying and a number of different cards he told us he couldn't process the order and asked us to leave.... When I checked my bank the transactions had all gone through! I called numerous times to get the money refunded but each time I was told that the manager wasn't there or to call back later. After months of chasing and getting nowhere I have given up, which is what I assume they hope you will do. It makes me wonder how many other people they have done this to, so I will be reporting this to the police. Avoid at all costs!

My chicken wasn’t cooked through properly and I’m assuming it’s fried, which is the easiest thing you can do, if they can’t do that properly then I can only imagine what other things they slack on. With other people also telling me the same issues, it’s just Lazy work if you ask me, so not worth anyones money as it ended up in the bin anyways, my chips were blanched, basically pre cooked. Will not be coming here anymore. Not to mention it’s clearly very unhygienic in their shop, I highly doubt it gets cleaned regularly if not at all, they also lack highly on customer service, I ordered inside the shop before and they spoke amongst each other a good 5 minutes before even serving me. it most definitely wouldn’t surprise me if they had rats due to the uncleanliness too. Basic work standards would even put your place to shame.🤷‍♀️

Delivered order with chilly instead of mayo. Said will redeliver. Rang after hour again said driver on a way. Another hour later told he will call drivel (3hrs since wrong order received) and when i asked about complaint process i hot asked "complaint? Ok" and just hang phone. 4 hours in total since ordered. And nothing.

Disrespectful service, absolutely rude servers, we live locally and their tone was ruder than to falling down drunks around. I understand the job is hard but we were all but nice

Daughter ordered through food hub, order was set at a time to be delivered when she finished work. First mistake they delivered 3 hours too early she was still at work, so clearly they don’t know how to tell the time. They then show up at the right time to deliver wrong order, she calls to explain they put phone down multiple times until she calls on another number. Explains it’s wrong and and confirm what it should be after rude attitude from staff member, they do an exchange for what’s supposed to be what she wanted. Exchange is done, but yet again not what she asked for,good job she don’t have allergies. Call them up again to explain it’s wrong again only to be met with a rude manager, who don’t let you talk just talks over you then hangs up. So my advice stay well clear, and order from somewhere that appreciates their customers.

Avoid! I ordered 3 pieces chicken all rock hard and dry mixed kebab was disgusting could not believe the taste! chips tasted stale I do not live in Peterborough so I did not know were to go! The worst I have ever tasted.

Ordered 2 pizzas for 16£ never arrived, they first lied the owner was on holiday then told the place they delivered the food. Also lied to my girlfriend and i never even got the refund. Trash place, don't use food hub they don't give your money back with things like this

Was told delivery would be 30-40 mins and it was an hour. Chips were cold, chicken shish was awful..it didn't even look or taste like chicken shish..was really disappointed. I asked for all salad and had 2 slices of cucumber, 1 piece of tomato and that was it. Won't he ordering form here again.

From small portions to bad customer service £8 for a large kebabs that looks like it should be in a happy meal to then get told that next time I order I’ll get a little more meat what a joke of an establishment

Expensive food for really poor service. 2 house specials for £31!! Food arrived late and cold. Called to ask for help and explained food is here but salad missing. Talked over and didn't listen to understand what what happened. Enquired about refund option and ended up being spoken to disrespectfully and dressed down like a little child. I didn't receive my food called the driver who was actually alright and tried yo sort it out but then called the restaurant and the guy shouted at me and said you've paid now and doesn't care and put the phone down on me. I got shish kebab for £7.99, taste of kebab 2* of 5* . Give 3* for friendly staff. Probably another kebabs taste good but I never will by again that one I was got. Sorry guys but Shish kebab must have better taste.

Ordere mozzarella dippers,garlic sauce and a large Donner kebab with chilli sauce, delivery sail 35-40 mins and it was 40 mins however it was cold and well the large kebab looks awful have a look for yourself and when I phoned to complain all they did was hang up and shout at me avoid this place completely awful food and awful service!!!!🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢

Spent £25 on kebab food and my friend was sprayed with bbq sauce all over her £70 mink jacket by the owners, they dismissed when we said stop and wouldn’t give us a discount. Never buy from here. Revolting service. So upset, ruined my week.

One of the 24 hours shop in Peterborough city center. Low cost shop. Take away only. Popcorn chicken must try. Southern fried chicken is a juicy thing available here.

Extremely poor service, this takeaway took my money online, then called to say they don't deliver to my area. I've been chasing for a refund for over 2 weeks now, with the fob off of the manager will call you back and he never has. The last time of calling, I've been hung up on twice! I'm fuming and will never order from here again. They have, in essence, stolen money and shown a complete lack of respect and extremely bad customer service. Avoid this takeaway like the plague! Maybe this review will finally get the manager to call me back and issue a refund...

Had an absolutely AMAZING kebab tonight from Ali’s! Freshly cooked meat, fresh salad and all wrapped perfectly in heated pitta. Delivery and service were impeccable, would recommend these guys EVERY single day!

Foods okay, the delivery driver is a bit much, very forward and just not needed.

where to start? this was without a shadow of a doubt the worst service i have ever encountered when ordering food. a friend & I ordered a simple 10” pizza, a box of chips & a 7up last night after we’d been out. we’re not from peterborough, in fact we thought peterborough as a whole was absolutely abysmal, so we figured we would just grab something quickly, not realising we would be fleeced of hard earned money in trying to secure some naughty scrans. we were given an estimated delivery time of at best a 15 minute wait and promised no later than half an hour after our order time, so we’re thinking yes banging, seems decent. mind this was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel, we just couldn’t be bothered to walk at a heavy time. the food had been “out for delivery” for the entire window, and we had been waiting for 40 minutes with no attempted contact from Ali and his boys der. i said to r kid, “you’re gonna have to bell them lad I’m dying for this 7UP you know what i mean” so he’s tried to ring them. user busy. must have tried 10 times on his phone and then tried a few times on mine before finally getting through to Ali HQ. boss picks up the phone whilst still in another conversation with the head of kebabs. he finally dribbles “hello” down the phone, and we calmly explained that we had placed an order nearly 50 minutes ago and we would just like an update on where it is. in a huge turn of events he says, “mate, I’m gonna have to ring you back one second one second ok?” and hung up. me and r kid actually laughed in the disbelief of what had happened and continued to do so for the next 15 minutes when he obviously didn’t ring us back. so we thought right it’s gonna have to be a send to Ali’s then sort it out ourselves you know what I mean. we’ve bounced to Ali’s gaff 5 minutes later and walked in to a crowd of utterly bewildered drunk people arguing with the staff. i said to r kid “let’s not give them a hard time mate they’ve probably had a right earful off these lot here”, but to be honest about 0.3 seconds after the guy stared blankly through us and muttered “yes?” we were in the right state of mind to do the very same. he blatantly had no idea that this order existed, he didn’t apologise and demanded we sit and wait whilst he made it. no offer of good gesture and not even a sniff of any money back for this enormous and frankly unacceptable inconvenience. 1hr & 15 minutes of our time completely wasted waiting for these cretins to run around the smelly kitchen scraping together ingredients to make a pizza and some chips which as far as I could work out involved using the right hand to open and close the door of a freezer. he’s thrown it into the boxes, shooed us away like dogs and thrown us back out amongst the 6 and only 6 people on a night out in the promised land of Petey. we had to endure all of this farce for cold food and unspeakable inconvenience and not even a hint of gratitude that they’d actually managed to make £10 between them, presumably going in the pot for the christmas night out. I can safely say that I have never ever in my life experienced anything quite like it and I do mean that in the worst way possible. not only the customer service but the quality of the food also was incredibly poor. I hope this place gets run into the ground. the fellas working in there that night were rude and clueless to an almost concerning level. this is my message to you, the people of peterborough, if there is indeed actually anyone that lives there out in the deserted wilderness, you need to avoid this place at all costs until they can do business no longer, because you as a community are better off without it. for Ali and his grotty kebab house, and to the town of peterborough as a whole, this is the first and last time i will be visiting. as soon as i set foot in the place i could feel all the ambition drain from my body, it was like a ghost town, but with one massively under par kebab house thrown onto a shoddy street corner. please, do not ever buy anything from this place as long as you live. i can promise you now that you will thank me and the boy for putting ourselves through this absolute ordeal just so you don’t have to. and avoid visiting peterborough too if you can it’s a complete dive.

Over charged me and my Mrs Do not reccomend, tried to fight me after I disputed the cost because they thought we had been drinking so they could get extra money out of us. Typical tossers, don't bother with them, the place was very dirty inside too.

*Zero stars* Ordered online, they told foodhub after an hour and a half that the food would be delivered in next ten minutes. Left it another 30mins and rang myself to be told they will not deliver to me, they've marked the order as delivered so no refund either. Personally, I'd avoid at all costs.. looking at other reviews you're lucky if you even receive half of your order.

I dont like this place. I go to work 2 days A delivery driver A motorbike. I spent time and petrol, but dont get money from this job. Always lie come work and you get money. But anyway laying. And this time i dont yet get my money. Dont go work a delivery driver.

I looked up best kebab in Peterborough on google and Ali's came up. I don't know if that's true, but it was pretty decent and very reasonable.
