Alchemy in Ards

Booked upstairs area for my mums 60th birthday. There was 25 of us, a lovely selection of sandwiches along with hot buffet food was lead on for us. I honestly can't recommend here enough for a party the food was lovely and loads of it, the staff where so friendly and helpful. Phil the owner went out of his way on Easter Sunday to accommodate us and the end price was very reasonable. Have had lunch in here before and it's always been enjoyable but Sunday was really amazing and we will def use here again in the future for family get togethers.

Group of friends met for brunch. Great menu choices and service.

I’ve now eaten in, and taken out from here. This is an excellent spot for both. The team are extremely friendly and efficient. The food quality is excellent and it has great coffee.

I have been to Alchemy twice in 2 weeks, the first time I went with my 4 sisters and niece and the 2nd time was with my friends, both times the food, service, atmosphere was fantastic, and they were so accommodating I cannot fault it, I'm going back with my sister in laws this week and my sisters and friends will be going back also,

Pescatarian orders Seafood Chowder though finds bacon/ham in it!!! I'm sure it wasn't mentioned on the menu, if it did I apologise. Anyways, after scoooping out the bacon bits I must say the Chowder was really good!

we both had wonderful seafood chowder served with Guinness soaked bread - the cafe is clean and well decorated - the only toilet is upstairs - not ideal - the food took a while to arrive, but it was worth waiting for.

Great place for a coffee and food. I call in every so often and the staff are always so welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend the Belgian Waffles!

What a fantastic place! Phil and the team warmly welcomed 40 of us to celebrate my dad's 60th Birthday. The food was amazing and the staff were wonderful, so warm and friendly and totally on the ball with orders and keeping everyone looked after. We visit regularly and it never disappoints. Massive thank you to Phil and his amazing team for a perfect afternoon. Can't wait to return. A massive thank you!

The staff were very nice and accommodating. I was very sad they had run out of their Portavogie prawn sandwich. Instead I got their chowder which, as a starter/light bite, was very filling. The chowder was made of smoked monkfish and haddock (if I remember right) and a good whack of bacon. This wasn’t detailed on the menu I don’t believe so be advised that it isn’t suitable for pescatarians. The Guinness wheaten bread was delicious, and so was the chowder, but I wasn’t able to finish on account of how salty it was. I probably could have if I got a cold drink instead of a coffee (oops). I had a vanilla latte with oat milk and I thought it was really well made, I enjoyed it thoroughly. My dining companions told me that the goats cheese salad was really good, came with a really good portion of goats cheese, but perhaps the salad could do with a bit more variety than just leaves. They also said the burger was good, good quality cheese, and the chips were fresh out the kitchen.

Family Sunday Lunch ....Very Good all round . TOP MARKS .

We had only been to Alchemy once before and being very pleased with the quality of the food and the service, we had always planned to go back again. We eventually got back on Saturday for a light lunch and both of us were really pleased with what we got. Despite being quite busy, our food arrived very quickly after ordering and both of us were very pleased with what we got. The two girls taking orders and serving were efficient and very pleasant. We’ll try to get back more often now!

Tuesday 18.07.2023 @ 13.30 - A warm and very friendly atmosphere with great service and a wonderful variety of food to chose from Well worth a visit - We are literally just out of this gorgeous wee place - we had a toasted sandwich, fish & chips & chicken strips and homemade cheesecake absolutely gorgeous complements to the chef & the two lovely girls front of house; we have a mini schnauzer who was very well behaved and made to feel most welcome and who loves cucumber 😊 - thank you for the lovely food 10/10

Been here for lunch while visiting and came for for the first time for the evening on Friday 23rd June. Excellent food and service (Nothing to much trouble) nice that Phil the chef came out for a chat very reasonable prices and although they do not have a alcohol licence you can take your own. Highly recommend and will certainly be back on our next visit, keep up the good work 😊😊😊👍👍

Stopped in here for breakfast on a rainy Sunday morning and so glad we did!! Me and my boyfriend both had the large breakfast which was lovely - it arrived quickly and you could tell it was cooked fresh with attention to detail. Staff were very friendly and service was great, would highly recommend… we will be back on our next visit to Greyabbey!

Called in for lunch on our way to our caravan. First visit & it won’t be the last. Friendly welcome from staff. Cosy & comfortable restaurant. I had the fish cake starter & hubby had the chicken hot wings. Food was piping hot & well presented. Everything homemade right down to the blue cheese dip for the wings. We both had the Chicken chilli flat bread. The taste was amazing!! Great start to our weekend

Stopped here for brunch. My friend had the egg soda and tea and I chose the pancake stack. It came with 2 thick pancakes, with syrup, bacon and strawberries as well as blueberries. I had the best cup of americano. The 2 very pleasent servers were Kirsty and Danielle.

Great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have changed from their online menu so not everything is served if you’re going there for the first time.

We visited last weekend for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday celebrations with all her immediate family - 17 in total. We had the upstairs privately to ourselves and Phil provided a set menu selection for us in advance. Every meal, for each course was delicious, cooked beautifully and service was excellent. We all had a very special night and made precious memories. Thank you Phil and your team. Always delivering delicious fresh food and great service. Alchemy is always consistent.

A nice restaurant. Four employees want to look after the two of us... things get mixed up. The food - or rather the waffle - was completely "drunk" - more syrup than waffle. Not recommendable!

Our favourite restaurant in Greyabbey. Good quality lunches on offer. Food is fresh, good portions and reasonably priced Staff are lovely, very welcoming and friendly. The owner is the chef and therefore food is always top nosh. Opens at the weekends on a Friday and Saturday night. Visiting in the evening is a lovely experience, mood lighting and still the usual great food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Fully open till 3.00pm on a Sunday, best to phone in advance. Ask clearly if needing gluten-free options or a slice of lemon in your drink etc.

This is a gem of a place. We had the sea food chowder followed by the Portavogie scampi and deep fried bree followed by pan fried bass, an excellent meal and a cafe punching well above its weight
