It's like being back in Italy, except your really in the new forest! Lovely food, which actually tastes fresh and full of flavour, they also have a proper pizza oven where you can see your pizza being made and freshly HOMEMADE pasta Highly recommend!

Second time back here. Loved it just as much as the first time. Delicious, clean, authentic food, lovely staff, and great atmosphere. Not cheap, but not expensive either. And I promise you the quality of the experience is easily worth it. Even our semi-fussy toddler gobbles up the food here! Will always come back anytime we're looking for a nice, relaxed enjoyable eat out.

Always a great visit to try different Italian dishes , great service and good wine selection

Food made us physically ill after arriving home. The kitchen staff spoke foul language throughout service - we were seated near the kitchen so we caught every loud word (my wife speaks Italian). Witnesses. The chicken pollo came out boiled (not pan fried as stated on menu) and drenched in sauce to cover up the chickens non existent flavor. The calamari appetiser was frozen. The green beans were not trimmed. The pizza dough was undercooked, the tomato's raw, and the sauce was bland. All of this for premium fine dining cost. Will never go back. And what's even more sad, is the owner will make excuses, not apologies. Little does he know how influential just 1 bad review can be. Time will tell.

Not exactly an authentic Italian dining experience. Italian is meant to be fresh, simple, tasty, vibrant. The ingredients are primarily frozen, not sourced fresh locally, and certainly not organic. The UK in general has a food quality issue, and the typical Brit is so conditioned to the standard being so bad they'll give this place a high rating, but if this restaurant was located in Italy, it would be out of business.

Portions were generous (loads of prawns in the seafood pizza and extremely generous portions of ham hock in the calzone) - the latter was the best I've experienced! What a gem of a find Albero is. Superb authentically cooked Italian food at sensible prices. Just a pity the restaurant is 140 miles away from my home. The pizza looked amazing but my Cabonara was one of the best.

We ate at this superb Italian restaurant twice during our week-long stay in Brockenhurst. The restaurant has been beautifully styled, and feels warm, classy and elegant. The menu is traditional Italian, but with a few dishes that make it stand out, eg the boar ragú. Outstanding service. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Excellent food and wine, friendly and attentive service, and a casual atmosphere. Only one suggestion for improvement: a bottle of wine is to be opened by the table.

We have been to Albero many times since moving to the area. They have always been so welcoming to us and our baby and the food is really excellent. The restaurant has such a nice, relaxed atmosphere, we have many happy memories of our meals there. The bathrooms were also immaculately clean and well maintained on our visit today.

This is a real gem in the new forest. The food is amazing. Not the cheapest but well worth it

We both had really excellent pizzas, and were impressed with the toppings and bases. They were some of the best veggie pizzas we’ve had anywhere. Service was speedy and friendly too.

What a fantastic find , from service to getting the bill. Perfect balance of waiting time between courses, this is a definite place to come back too .

Staff couldn't be more helpful when booking, we were 6 adults and 4 children with 2 of them under 4. Issue is allergies for 2 of the elder children. Staff were brilliant and couldn't be more helpful. Lovely atmosphere, great bottle of red (Primitivo Puglia ) and some wonderful food. Got to say the Chitarra Arrabbiata is to die for. If you have allergies, this is the place to eat, you won't be disappointed. Couldn't recommend high enough.

Great atmosphere and service. We had the ragu and cream chicken main dishes with a focaccia. The food was good except for the chicken which was a bit chewy but overall ok. There's also parking space. Overall a good dining experience.

Just average, disappointed really but it's OK. Food was alright but not that tasty, the special pizza when we were there was all cheese with a little bit of butternut squash and tiny bits of nuts. Staff weren't very helpful but were OK. Location was good, in the centre of the village with parking .

We were fortunate enough for it to be still warm in October to be able to sit outside with our dog. We had a a really good meal, one pasta the other chicken parmigiana, and a delicious bottle of Montepulciano. Good service, friendly staff, thouroughly reccomend!

A pleasant room with good service and a fine kitchen team. Olives and a shared bruschetta made a good starter, followed by spaghetti bolognese (very good) and fettuccine with king prawns and calamari (outstanding). The house white is a light Chardonnay and perfectly good. Service was friendly and efficient and we enjoyed the evening. There is car parking to the rear for about 15 cars. We’ll worth a visit.

Went here yesterday on a whim after college and it was so lovely! A friend and I shared a pizza and were very happy with the price and they have lovely decor.

Laten we positief beginnen: de dame in de bediening is super vriendelijk en je zit er prima. Maar......het eten heeft niets met Italie te maken. Geen of de verkeerde kruiden worden gebruikt. De Ceasar Salad: Geen gebakken spekjes, de verkeerde sla(ijsbergsla), taaie en zeker niet :"crispy" croutons, aangemaakt met mayonaise!, geen of minimaal ansjovis aanwezig, smakeloze kip en smakeloze (karige hoeveelheid) parmesan(of iets wat er op moet lijken. De pasta's missen de juiste kruiden. Deze kok bakt er helemaal niets van, en dus is het ook overpriced. De wijnkeuze en prijs/kwaliteitverhouding deugt ook niet. Jammer, dit is onze enige misser in onze culinaire avontuur in Zuid Engeland. Ik zou een deurtje verder gaan.

Very good Italian restaurant. Sometimes very Italian and made some minor changes to original recipes but we were not complaining.

Authentic Italian. Immaculate everything and the food was divine! Bruschetta is two pieces of homemade bred so that is a lunch in itself. But I ordered carbonara and although I couldn’t finish it, it was lush. Really lovely staff and toilets super nice and fresh. Cannot fault it!! Thank you for a lovely afternoon!!

Lovely fresh and tasty food was had. Went with my mum and had a great time chilling over good food. Sauces were lovely and the olives to die for. It was very quiet as we were the only Two in there but you could put that down to the fact it was on a Monday for lunch. Made easier as there is parking at the back. Will definitely return.

Fabulous fresh authentic Italian food and wonderful service too. We were looked after by Martina and Slavi who did an amazing job to help make our evening relaxed and so enjoyable. Highly recommend stopping here to eat. Great quality, tasted gorgeous and a lovely place to enjoy food as a couple, with company, friends or family. Absolutely will return here as soon as we get the opportunity. Restaurant was clean, tidy, welcoming and they have outside seating too.

We visited Albero's during a recent holiday in the New Forest. The food was delicious and the restaurant had a lovely ambience. The staff were all really friendly and efficient. We enjoyed it so much that we made a second visit there on the last night of our holiday. We wish we had an Albero near us!

This is the best Italian Restaurant we have ever been to, the atmosphere is really relaxing and the staff are really attentive and friendly and service is very prompt. We had various dishes and each one was outstanding. Superb ingredients and fantastic meals. So good in fact that we had our evening meal there 3 times in one week.

Beautiful ambience great pizza , friendly staff and dog friendly in the outside area , highly recommended… prices are also in line with the cost of life, quite fair.

We had a dinner there in a small company. It's not a busy venue as there were plenty of tables. It's quiet and comfy. The food is delicious and the choice is good. It took them less than 20 minutes to serve pizzas. I would totally recommend this place for casual dining

We ate gluten free pasta and fish- that more really amazing! My son has a celiac, they are aware and making tones of effort The gluten dishes were amazing as well - I had the mushroom pasta. Really really good!

Early birds at 5 o'clock on a July Monday evening and the restaurant had plenty of customers. Lovely seabass and a pizza meal for us two. Super service, great food, great value.

Two visits during our stay in Brockenhurst. Both lovely. Quality of food and service made both trips fun and enjoyable. Only sad on their behalf that they weren't busier, as they deserved to be. Thank you for remembering it was our anniversary!

Staff were excellent, but food was average. The mains (pasta) were very average. If you have had desserts in Italy, don’t try the tiramisu or cannoli as if you expect them to be the same and as good, you will be disappointed.

My partner and I called in here recently whilst staying in Brockenhurst. The staff and service were both excellent in a nice atmosphere. We had the olives as side dish which were tasty. We had the prawns and calamari to start which were really good. For mains i had the diavola pizza and my other half had the fettuccine which were both really tasty and highly recommended. To finish i had the cannoli which was very good, one word of warning, be careful if you are trying to cut it as it is a hard shell and likely to go everywhere. The chocolate pannacotta was really good too. This is a lovely restaurant and well worth a visit.

The wild boar pasta and seafood pasta were both excellent. Primativo also very good. Good service. Restaurant will suit all occasions and has car park.

We had a lovely meal here over the weekend. COVID guidelines were followed well and we felt safe. The atmosphere was great and the food was to a high standard - good value for money. The service was also very good! Would recommend

Lovely food and presented well even though it was takeaway. The only downside was I ordered wild bore, but received smoked pork. But it was incredible nevertheless!

We stayed in the Thatched Cottage Hotel nearby and ate at the nearby Albero. We both had the wild boar papardelle, delicious, and shared a bottle of their house red wine, just the sort of slightly sour cherry taste we like. Tables were well spaced and all the staff wore masks - so, I think, did all the customers when not seated. We had a very pleasant waitress, from Slovenia.

All good , Spaghettis Bolognese as good as it gets , Staff excellent. Had 3 large red wines by the glass and the charming waitress said I will only charge for a bottle. Great gesture, I will return.

I’ve been to Albero Lounge multiple times throughout the last 3 years because of how tasty the food is, the vibe and the lightning and also the customer service! All the cocktails are amazing and are worth a try !!

We went here on a Friday evening and were lucky to get the last available table. The food was fantastic, the service lovely. We arrived at 2015 and comfortably finished three courses by the 2200 curfew closing. Would heartily recommend, particularly the prawn and calamari starter and the slow cooked wild boar Ragu pasta. Do go, they deserve your custom!

We visited on a quiet Monday night with only a few other people eating. We ordered our food and drinks together as we already decided what we wanted. Our food arrived quickly but we still hadn’t received our drinks, they seemed to have forgotten about them. Food itself was tasty but when we had finished we waited 40mins for our plates were taken away and asked if we wanted any dessert or coffee. We asked for bill and then was waiting again for another 15mins, so ended up going to the bar to pay. We both felt forgotten about and really didn’t expect such poor service when the restaurant was pretty much empty.

albero was great this evening. one of us enjoyed the liver, and i really enjoyed the fish. and the pork starter was lovely. and the staff were excellent. friendly and two front of house staff worked really hard. nice to see waiting staff who have their eyes open and looking out for when you want them, without overpowering you. the pizzas are great and the wine is reasonably priced. what more could you ask for?

We had a very enjoyable meal at Albero, the food was delicious and we were impressed that, when the serving staff were busy, the chef took the meals to the tables himself. The tables were set out in a covid safe way which was good but not quite so good was that the door was left open (following the guidelines I guess) but I was seated in front of the door so I was quite cold. A niggle but not enough to deduct from the 5 star rating

Sorry Alberto if you want to be Italian then hire Italian not Romanian chefs. The Bolognese was sweet and the pasta stodgy. Didn't work for me, real shame because my previous visit in 2019 was a great success. Maybe stick to the pizza!

Visited this hotel for the first time. The service was superb throughout the night. The food was also top notch. Well worth a visit .

Friday night visit for two whilst on a mini break in New Forrest. We learned that Albero and Snakecstxher are owned by the same people, and both are excellent. Staff were friendly, and efficient, no long waits for food. The wine list was excellent and prices very good for such a prime location in the village. OH had a caramelised onion, balsamic and mozzarella focaccia and husb is still talking about it two days later. I had a hefty salad of fig, prosciutto, a mild blue cheese rocket and sesame and honey praline in a similar dressing. I could have eaten it all day. Really well balanced flavours and textures. For my main I had the thick hollow spaghetti pasta Amatriciana with pig cheeks instead of bacon. Really tasty. And he had chicken alls crema... which came with green beans, mushrooms and crushed boiled potatoes. It was delicious For dessert we shared the Italian cheesecake with raspberry coulis, which was light and the sauce punchy and tart. Our only complaints were the feeling of being overt stuffed (our fault) and their mis-producing the bill, which would have meant an extra £10 had we not spotted it. It was sorted immediately, so no big shake. Covid restrictions were in place; tables not too close together, we booked in advance and we have details for track and trace. All staff wore face covering except one waitress. Tables were thoroughly cleaned after use. Would definitely recommend this Italian restaurant if you are in the area, and will go again next time we’re in the village for traditional and locally sourced/home made Italian cuisine.

The restaurant was lovely and the staff brilliant. However I had a pizza and if I'm honest I found this too doughy ! I prefer thin based and this wasn't thin at all! It was freshly made so maybe a choice could have been given. The ingredients were great though. I would visit again and have something else.

We visited as a party of 7 for my daughters birthday. Usually go to La Pergola in Lyndhurst which is lovely but they were fully booked so had never been here before. Appreciate due to Covid we had to be on two tables but we were seated on tables at right angles to each other so we had our back to the other table and so interaction was impossible whilst larger tables were given to groups of 3 and 4. This was despite booking days in advance and being told they would be together. Then the food arrived.....inedible undercooked pasta described as “al dente” we think raw would be a better description and a tasteless watery sauce. Then it was desert a tiramisu with a thick bitter layer cocoa powder and a burnt hard pastry tube filled with ricotta. We barely ate anything and after a £200 bill went to McDonald’s. If you like anything more than cheese pizza so not visit here!

Probably our 8th or 9th visit. Great staff & great food. We always book when in the New Forest. Easy access to the station & taxi rank - basically across the road.

Excellent meal with pleasant and polite staff. I very much enjoyed my seafood pizza. Their seafood pizza was one of the best three I have ever tasted. In no particular order the best seafood pizzas were from coffee Club, Westbourne, Pinocchio‘s Exmouth, Western Australia and Albero’s. Well done Chef.

Gorgeous Takeaway Pizza We were staying in the New Forest and wanted to take advantage of the lovely September evening and have a Takeaway meal back at the holiday cabin. We ordered 2 Pizza, a Diavalo and a Polpettini with minced venison. Both were 10/10. We will be back.

Myself and my husband ate here whilst staying at a local hotel. The food was fantastic with large portions. The staff were also fabulous and made sure we had everything we required throughout the night. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian as one of the best I’ve eaten in and we will be back when next in Brockenhurst!

My wife and I were staying in Brockenhurst and decided to eat at Albero. Really I am just reiterating the other reviews but the food, service and ambiance were faultless. Generous portions of top quality food. We had the meat and cheese platter (Piatto Di Albero) to start followed by a Pizza Dal Mare and the Calzone. I have had may of the latter but this was, by far the best! Cooked by Livio in his pizza oven, the filling of ham hock, mushrooms, etc. was generous and had the best flavour. The service was prompt and friendly and the waitress was extremly helpful. We will certainly return next time we are in the area. Highly recommend!

We were a party of 6 and everything we had was spot on. Very friendly service too. My parents booked a second visit before we had even left and if our holiday wasn't over I would have loved to return too!

We had a very pleasant lunch at Albero. I had tagliatelle with prawns and calamari. My wife had bigoli carbonara. Full of flavour and with good quality pasta. The young woman who served us was excellent.

We ate at Albero for dinner on a recent trip to the New Forest. The restaurant has a rustic Italian vibe with bare brick walls and a large pizza oven dominating one corner. We were greeted by friendly and attentive staff who were very efficient on a busy night in the restaurant.There is a good range of choice on the menu, including a few good vegan options. The wine list is small but has a good variety of Italian wines.To start I had an Italian cheese board which was very tasty. The cheeses were all good quality with creamy gorgonzola and some sharp and tangy hard cheeses too. This was served with some delicious focaccia and some artichokes, which was a little unusual bit worked well. It would have been nice to have a bit more bread with this dish though, or less cheese, as I ran out of bread long before all of the cheese was gone.For my main course I had the mushroom and truffle pasta which was full of flavour. The pasta was perfectly cooked and fresh, with a delicious creamy sauce with lots of umami flavours from the mushroom and truffle. It was a rich dish but the portion size was well judged and I had no problem finishing it. My fiancee had a vegan pizza which was well cooked and had some lovely fresh toppings on it.We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant and we would highly recommend it if you are visiting Brockenhurst.

We really couldn’t make up our minds whether to go to Enzee or Albero. I am so happy we chose Albero, our dishes were absolutely out of this world with flavour and authenticity. We had the cured meat and cheese board for starter, prawn& calamari for mains and side of Caesar salad. Service was also very good and house white was excellent. One touch I really liked is that the pasta is cooked fresh in house so if you wanted to change the type of pasta in your dish you could.

Sunday dinner at AlberoSeriously impressed with the covid precautions they are taking at this restaurant and the thoroughness of the cleaning that took place between the first and second sitting this evening. Restaurant was fully booked so definitely recommend booking in advance. Service was top notch through out. Food delicious loved the cheese platter and highly recommend the garlic bread with mozzarella and caramel onions to start. Delicious homemade pasta special with tomato and goats cheese, the boar pasta sauce excellent too. Squeezed in the baked cheesecake for pudding to round off the meal. Excellent value just under £80 for two including a bottle of Primitivo

We have just bought a house nearby and am thrilled to find this beautiful authentic restaurant. The dining room was very clean and the staff where incredibly charming and genuine, nothing was too much trouble. The food was just lovely simple, genourous, honest and robust everything you want when eating Italian. The bill was very good value for what was given. Fresh seasonal food cooked from scratch by skilled artisans and served by charming professionals has a cost which we happily support.We look forward to returning soon.

My wife and I travel a lot around Italy and love Italian cuisine unfortunately we’ve never found anything in the Bournemouth / New Forest area that comes anywhere near an authentic Trattoria until now We visited this lovely little Restaurant last night and everything was just about perfect. Beautifully created starters , handmade pasta , very simple but delicious combinations of ingredients which is most Italian restaurants go wrong in this area. Keep it simple and Alberos Chef Livio does this perfectly. And lastly the prices are exceptional value.Bravo and Salute Livio we will be back
