Popped in for a late lunch to go and had one of the best curries I've had in a long time! Lovely staff who made some great recommendations and the price was very fair. Will be coming back next time in the area

Love this neighbourhood health store and cafe. Brilliant service from a knowledgeable team and a great mix of heath food , supplements and skincare Planned to stop for lunch but short on time - had a really tasty and imaginative takeaway salad box instead that has me full 6 hours later ! 15 mins from Kings X station - a nice walk passing lots of indie shops

Merci beaucoup à la vendeuse qui malgré mon anglais difficile a pris le temps de comprendre et nous a très bien conseillé. Elle a même eu la gentillesse de faire tester un de ses propres produits à ma maman. Nous avons ensuite pris un café dans le petit espace de restauration et c’était très bon.

Lunch - we both had a large carton and the staff were excellent. They described all the hot/cold options and piled the carton to the top with different type of food. Sitting outside in the sun were we both delighted at how fresh and wholesome the food was.

What a selection of products inc soya banana yoghurt which can be tough to get anywhere outside of Wholefoods. Lovely friendly staff and delicious take out green lasange with roasted potatos.

Had most of what I needed, staff were helpful and the store is bright and airy with items well within reach. Also, they had organic fresh yeast.

Great independent shop with a lot of choice, plenty of vegetarian and even vegan options, plenty of choice with all kinds of healthy alternatives to many products. Very friendly staff, always reliable and Diana and Iwona always happy to order something I need which may not be in stock. Regular customer here, every time I'm in London ;-)

Very yummy and filling! I got a nice nutritious meal there and honestly I’m impressed with the cook. Usually I find the skin on eggplant to be to thick and hard for my liking, but theirs was prepared perfectly. It was pretty spicy but not too hot, a very comforting meal indeed.

Love this spot close to my work place for a quick, healthy and fresh vegan lunch! They also offer a UCL discount (10%) which is very kind.

I love this shop and cafe, they have a fantastic range of food, supplements and toiletries etc. The staff are really knowledgeable and will take time to help you. The cafe serves a healthy lunch and drinks. Great location, lovely shop, this is one if my favourite shops in London. If you want something they do not usually stock they can order it in for you. I loved this place, but stopped going, I am not sure why in the middle of a pandemic in London 60 thousand plus people infected everyday and over a thousands deaths a day... they decided that it is ok to serve you mask free.... are they immune from COVID??? Disgraceful. I am quite amazed but this lack of respect for customers from an health store!!!

I have been eating breakfast and lunch here since Summer of 2017. Alara serves excellent Salad, especially the baby spinach salad with bean sprouts. They also make great muchroom stew, soup, and vegetarian lasagna. Their berry smoothie drinks are also nutritious and delicious. The bakeries and coffee at Alara also great for afternoon's teatime.

Great deals for health products and a wide range of specialist foods, I enjoyed the deal on vegan protein powders.

Dimitry is a wonderful hardworking man that definitely deserves recognition for his amazing knowledge and hardwork towards customers. What an amazing asset to your store, He always takes time to explain all the different products and what suits the customers needs. His so patient and professional and has definetly helped myself and my mother. I Couldnt thank him enough and hope that someone takes good care of him his an absolute gem, Been going to this store since being a child and it never fails to deliver amazing store and wonderfull staff keep up the good work guys !!!! :)

This is the very best coffee shop that I've used to visit when I've been working in the area. Cappuccino has very distinctive and well-balanced flavor. Not too strong and not too mild. Definitely going to come again once back in London. Plus they have all essential stuff for home with eco ingredients if someone is interested in that.

Have been in several times, Quite a good selection of items but staff and some of the other customers not very friendly. Is small and congested which seems to leave people lacking patience when trying to get round the shop. Was in queue behind a lady with (what seemed like) a justified complaint over item quality and staff did not see her side, just argued that they thought the item was fine. Prices a little high.

The best store for choice I've ever visited. I've never seen such an array of tofu, vegan cheese and the like! I live in Manchester and was staying across the road for a couple of nights. I'll definitely be back again, especially to try out the cafe and with a case on wheels to fill it full of vegan wonderfulness 🌱💚

Wonderful option in this area for a healthy vegetarian lunch. The food is interesting, well prepared and really tasty. Way better than planet organic in my opinion! Prices are right for the quality. The actual shop is also nice, with plenty of groceries and body care products.

One of the best health food and supplement stores in London. Located in a relatively quiet street, very close to the Brunswick Centre, so lots of good shopping nearby including Waitrose. Staff are some of the most knowledgeable around. They carry an extensive range of vitamins & minerals. The cafe is very good, with a smallish seating area so it can get quite busy.

Came back for a Cocofina sampling session in this store and it was again lovely to meet the friendly staff working in Alara! Sold out of the chocolate spread in not even 2 hours. Great customers, genuinely interested in healthy products :)

Good experience. I went for lunch and was pleasently surprised to see a buffet decent pricing and a wide selection of vegetarian food. Worth a visit if looking for a filling lunch with healthy options. There is seating available both outside and inside. I'd recommend both their falafels and lentil stew. The store itself offers standard products, some of which you've come to expect from health food stores

O melhor lugar para se comer barato em Londres, durante minha estadia de 7 dias num hostel pela região eu escolhi almoçar nesse estabelecimento todos os dias, a comida era saborosa, feita com ingredientes naturais e sem carne.

lovely shop with great products and the staff was very helpful . the guy took 10 min explaining me how work the products and the differences of each. plus I got a lucky 20% off ( special sale day ! ) I'll definitely come back

Their store is very nice and their hot food at the cafe is so tasty. Plus it is made with all organic natural ingredients. Everything is vegetarian or vegan. Additionally, they have really amazing gluten free cakes and loafs. I highly recommend coming here for a quick meal or even just a healthy snack or treat.

Nice local style health food shop with a good range of products. It’s a little pricey as these shops tend to be but worth a visit and they sometimes have special offers on. I am a fan of the buffet style fresh food counter too which has lots of veggie and vegan options which you can choose from including shepherds pie, falafel, samosas, salads, stroganoff and even vegan aioli!

Called in here for a nice coffee in busy Marchmont Street. There's both indoor and outdoor seating in the cafe part of this large health food store. Staff seemed very friendly and chatty A good find.

It has everything that a vegetarian is looking for. Also has great beauty products. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The owner is wonderful, with a welcome smile, promoting new products. Also check out the amazing hot food counter. Food served all day.

This is a lovely little hidden gem. Health food store that has a lovely salad bar that is very fresh, vegetarian friendly and very tasty. Variety of teas, gluten-free options and very friendly people behind the salad/tea/coffee/smoothie bar. Miriam is very friendly and welcoming. I definitely will go back.

The manager should back off as he comes cross unfriendly and put me off going in a couple of times. All the rest of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Good range of foods and products for a small store.

Misleading student discount policy. Although they claim to give 10% discount to students, they don't accept a student card issued by the university which does not have a specified expiry date. Therefore on the spot they accuse you of being a liar!

Had just arrived in London for the weekend, staying in Holiday Inn Bloomsbury. Looking for a quick lunch decided to give the health store a try and wow, what a find. so much buffet food to choose from, salads and hot vegetarian, all really tasty. You help yourself and pay by weight of plate, very reasonable prices. Really good experience.

A wonderful place next to Gay’s the Word and Brunswick Centre in Bloomsbury. Coffee is better than in Planet Organic, and they have a nice buffet and shop with vegan and raw options. Have been going for years, a real gem! And not a chain!!!

Great place to get healthy vegetarian food in this part of London. Also good place to find high quality supplements and vitamins. Their self-service restaurant always has a good selection of salads and cooked food. Very friendly service in general.

I am a frequent customer at this wonderful health store in such a beautiful location The daily buffet are incredibly healthy and delicious; perfect for vegans and vegetarians. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful with health goods and foods I highly reccomend it as it"s always a treat!

The hot food buffet is a bit expensive, but there affordable in-house made veggie wraps/salads. Also keep in mind that the area is not as veg*n friendly as Hackney, so there is not much competition. I wish they kept the buffet open for longer. The groceries range (with the exception of snacks) is a bit limited, but prices are on par with bigger competitors, like Whole Foods, and there are occasional discounts and promotions.

I definitely recommend this place for vegetarians and vegans. They have a very good choice of foods with excellent fresh salads. It makes a superb stop for breakfast or lunch. It is attached to Alara wholefoods shop which has a great range of organic products. Service in the food cafe is excellent and the atmosphere overall is clean and welcoming. I would definitely return here.

You can find organic products easily here. Quite big variety of products. They have nutritionist on the side and he is very lovely and helpful guy. You can buy very delicious vegan food. You pay £1.25 per 100gram for the food.

This is a organic shop where you can pick a fantastic salad mix for lunch. We choose to take a veggie Burrito with all adds on. Very friendly personal and it was a pleasure to look at the preparation of the Burrito!

What a lovely find! A one stop shop for health foods, supplements, even beauty products and the veggie lunch buffet is varied and tasty. As it is priced by weight it could be a bit cheaper. Friendly customer service and some good deals.
