Was staying at St. Ermins for a long weekend and enjoyed breakfast each morning, absolutely delicious. Especially the Eggs Benedicts On the Sunday night we dined in Caxton Grill and we were not disappointed, my partner declared his steak to be one of the best he has ever had!!!Thank you for a beautiful meal

We were staying at the St. Ermin for one week and had all of our breakfasts at the restaurant. Breakfast (which we always ordered from the menu, as opposed to the buffet) was very good, consistent, and filling for us.We also had dinner here on two evenings. While a little pricey for the quality, it was otherwise fine. No aspect of it was bad. But the food was about what you would expect for this type of establishment, but nothing beyond.The exception was the Pavlova dessert! We went back three nights and ordered just that! Delicious!!!

My husband and I were staying near to the St Ermin's Hotel and decided to book to have a meal in their restaurant, we were very pleased we did. The food was excellent, my duck as starters perfectly cooked, my husband's fish starter super and for mains we both had pork belly which was delicious. I had mouth watering ice creams for dessert and my husband the pineapple pavlova which he said was gorgeous. There was a reasonable selection of wines and we chose a red which was superb. Our waiter Eder was very professional and gave us excellent service. We have decided on our next visit to London to stay at the St Ermin's Hotel and then we will be able to dine in the Caxton Grill. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

My husband enjoyed a lovely breakfast here, when we stayed overnight. I don't really eat breakfast, so he ate alone. He reported the food was wonderful and that he was really looked after by Flavia, who was excellent.

Birthday treat for my elderly mother-in-law, complimentary champagne and a personalized dessert added to some stunning food choices and wine recommendation from the marvellous Marious (hope I have spelt that correct).

We had lunch whilst waiting for our room to be ready. We were offered the main room but it had been mopped, so might have beena bit slippery, or the sofas and chairs between the lifts and the Grill. We both ordered Fish Bites and Chips, as we only wanted a snack. We wereserved well be Mario, who seemed helpful and friendly. We then decidedto order Pavlova and waited quite a while, saying it was not busy, onlyone other table being used. Eventually Mario came to tell us they had noPavlova, he advised he had only just been told, we choose to have ourbill at that stage, as it had taken over 20 minutes for the kitchen totell him that they hadn't got the desserts we ordered, which was prettybad. It would put us off coming again, as the food does come out quiteslowly, but is always great. Now, I believe, you can wait and then not even get food.

I love it when this happens. You are tired, it is late - but they have space, and great service to offer you. Then they give you a meal you will never forget - why? Because the chef clearly cares about his food, his cooking, his produce, and his reputation.

We visited the Grill for breakfast when we stayed at the hotel. We were served and well looked after by Winifred and Michael. The food was excellent, as was the service. It is a great place to have breakfast with a really varied menu.

Had a few drinks and a pizza here when staying at St Ermines. The staff were friendly, service good and pizza excellent. It is ticked away down a side street so it was nice and quiet when I went.

Excellent service and food was spot on. They also provided complimentary drinks for my husband as it was his Birthday.

Truly enjoyed every aspect of our experience last night for our son's 21st birthday dinner - the food was incredible, the service spot on and the whole experience 5 star! Thank you for looking after us so well. We will be back and will recommend.

Not the best, but decent breakfast with 3-4 hot items, rest is continental.I wouldn't necessarily pay 21GBP for it, but we had it included so it was fine.

Gabriel is a treat. The service and the food were amazing. Recommend it to anyone who visits jolly ole London!

Fantastic food...great attention to detail. Very fond of my club sandwich that was tremendous! The donuts with separate chocolate and raspberry sAuces were heavenly.

We are staying at St. Ermin’s so the bar is a great place to enjoy drinks and complimentary nuts. This is our second stay at this hotel / bar and each night the place is full. The lovely bar man helped me choose a gin & tonic.. finally found one I like. Cozy, friendly atmosphere..We will be back!

We dined while staying at St. Ermin's Hotel. It's a nice, upscale restaurant, with a variety of protein represented. We had the mixed fish grille for two which included calamari (not our favorite), salmon, and a white fleshed fish (server didn't tell us what would be/was included in the dish. The white fish was very bony and difficult to eat without a mouth full of fish bones. Flavors were good. Very unusual dessert of bacon ice cream with anise mousse and fresh banana. Servers were attentive but not very communicative... Not sure we'd go again.

What a strange place - for me the highlight the bar - great service and drinks - ordered off bar menu with no issue and bar staff were delightful. If you’re going for cocktails - fill your boots. Restaurant menu limited and service was so so. The dessert menu was like something out of a dessert nightmare - I’ve rarely in my life struggled to find anything that would tempt - but this was one of those oh so rare moments. Food was acceptable - creamed spinach had no cream in - when asked to check with the chef he advised he uses very little - none of the four of us on the table could discern it so maybe steamed spinach would be a better description- less misleading. Overall I felt like I’d paid a lot of money for something mediocre and I would not recommend or return.

The current seasonal menu of three courses at a set price is absolutely delicious and thus definitely worth trying. Particularly the main course of braised cheek of beef is fantastic. Delicious starters and beautiful deserts, too. Perfect dinner!

A few weeks ago, I was going away to visit my parents, so we decided to go for a nice, romantic meal with my husband. We love eating out and both are massive foodies, so I was excited to try an award-winning Caxton Grill.

Excellent food, very good service, and a decent wine list. My only complaint is I thought white dining cloths on the table would suit the atmosphere and prices. The waiter, a young man from the Netherlands, was excellent. One of the best that I have had in London.

As we were seated a young Dutchman Hugo came over and introduced himself and he proved to be a wonderful asset all evening. We all enjoyed our meals, loved the two rivers Savignon Blanc Hugo recommended and finished our meals with a Fragato. Still thinking about a special evening days later.

Located just a stone throw away from Westminster Abbey & the Houses of Parliament, this cozy, comfortable gastropub is nice place to have a lazy lunch or dinner! There are great choices of steaks, USDA & Scottish Aberdeen, and seafood too! Unfortunately, the food took more than 25 minutes to be served! Hugo, our waiter, was very accommodating and amiable! We enjoyed the time spent with friends anyway!

The truffle risotto along with the filet was the best meal I ate in the four nights we spent in London. I can't wait to go back.

We dined at St Ermin's Caxton Grill every morning which was delightful. However dinner was delicious. Even a humble roasted chicken was out of this world. So moist and skin was crisp. When travelling it is comforting to eat a familiar food! My husband had the fish and was equally thrilled. Our waiter gave terrific advice for wines and dessert. You will not be disappointed.

We opted for the A La Carte Breakfast here again and we weren't disappointed.

We ordered the Fish Grill and the Meat Grill. Both were very good but very small portions. With 2 glasses of wine the total bill was 100 Pounds British. Good service, pleasant decor but not outstanding. Marina from Romania was our waitress and was excellent!

We had breakfast each morning of our five day stay. The food was excellent, fresh and plentiful. The staff was attentive and friendly. Great way to kick off a long day of touring.

Stayed at the hotel and throughly enjoyed the restaurant and bar. The food and service was fantastic.

Good drinks at bar if a bit high priced a Premium Martini was 16£ pounds in 2017 a Corona was 5£ a gin and tonic 6.80£ pounds so 3 drinks tt 31.28 with a discretionay 12.5 % service included. Prices aimed at tourists.

Had breakfast included as part of an overnight stay in St Ermin's. What a joy, swift seating to our table and a brief explanation of how the service worked. Everything on display was well organised, clean, replenished quickly.

Used this for lunch and chose the Wagyu Burger with fries which was delicious. Chose to sit in the bar area and enjoyed the food with a couple of beers from the full bar. Friendly attentive service.

Service is exceptional and along with appetizing options. Ambience is lovely and elegant. The GARDEN VEGETABLE RISOTTO Parmesan foam & aged balsamic vinegar was incredibly rich in flavor.

We had one dinner as well as a breakfast or two. Nice but pricey. Very noisy when it was full in the evening. The bar area is also very nice. Had a few drinks there.

Lots of variety for breakfast. Traveling with teens and everyone was happy with breakfast. Pancakes were delicious and huge portion. Loved homemade granola.

I love the St Hermins hotel and when I go there inlike to dine at Caxton that is inside the hotel. The steak is always good and the fries as well and you di e in a very elegant and quiet environment.

We dined on a gloomy and rainy Wednesday evening but even so I was surprised that this lovely restaurant was not busier. The food was wonderful, and we really enjoyed the fresh fish cooked perfectly along with the tasty sides; the sweet potato mash was a particular favourite. The service was nicely attentive and I will definitely have this restaurant on my list for my next visit to London.

Great food very tasty and reasonably priced, great bar also with very affordable drinks and very helpful staff.

The staff are really friendly,polite and accommodating. The steak tartar was excellent but the fish grill was a little underwhelming, very small for the price. I would return I think I just chose wrong for the main course.

Located in St Ermin's Hotel. Food is consistentluy good. Service is excellent. Restaurant is nice if you want a leisurely meal. There is also a bar menu with some sofas and tables and hi top tables at the bar - a more casual menu but same kitchen.

The food was excellent and the desserts...wow!!! We tried 4 different desserts and they were all simply amazing. Don’t miss taking a drink in the bar, bartender Gabriel made us new awesome drinks every evening, especially all different gin & tonic! Will absolutely come back for a drink next time in London.

My colleagues and I had the most amazing experience at the Caxton grill bar. Bartender Gabriel not only did an excellent job making our drinks but he also gave us a bit of history lesson on Gin and Tonics. Highly recommend if you are in central London to stop in and check this place out.

Decent pub food....had the fish and chips. Not overly flavorfully but the tarter sauce was a great add (great flavor) and the mushy peas were amazing. Overall decent meal, nothing to write home about.bartenders we're very pleasant to talk to.

We had breakfast here once. I ordered, and my son had the buffet; good food overall. A lively place too, but we didn't have to wait for a table. I recommend it.

The Caxton Grill is situated inside St Ermins hotel and is the main dining facility for their clients meaning that it can (and does) have family groups with kids. Having said that, we attended mid week for an 8pm booking and had a great meal free of any distractions. At that time is was about 20% full.

Our family of 4 ate there last night for Easter dinner. We had very attentive service in a pleasant setting, although the tables were quite close together. We were served some very nice breads with herb butter while we ordered. The opener was sea bream carpaccio which was quite tasty with dill and citrus hints. My rocket salad was delicious, however the cream of parsnip soup was very bland, even for parsnip soup! My husband and son shared the mixed meat grill which came with grilled vegetables and was delicious; they added peppercorn sauce but everything was so fresh and tasty it was not really needed. Some nice fat chips alongside were perfect. My other son had a sous vide of sea bass in lobster broth which was very nice but the portion was quite small. The only real disappointment was my portobello mushroom vegetarian plate which consisted of two small grilled portobellos and a few tablespoons of a celeriac purée and some other small veg. It would have been considered a small appetizer; as a main entree it was pathetically small. However that did leave room for the deserts, including a beautifully presented birthday treat for me. Each desert was gorgeous, with some unusual herbal notes included, such as sage ice cream with the apple coral desert and the juniper ice on the lemon desert. All told it was all quite delicious, if pricey, and apart from the vegetarian plate and the small portion of sea bass, pretty good portions for the type of restaurant it is. We would definitely return when in London again.

Affiliated with the St. Ermin's Hotel, but don't miss it because of that. Dinners are reasonable priced and very good. Bar menu is extensive and always very good. Breakfast buffet is great - reasonable priced with plenty of pick from. Can ever get a traditional "British Breakfast".

So I wanted this to be special. Lovely staff, neutral decor, only one other couple dining on this occasion, which was a bit discombobulating. Fab home made warm bread, efficient wine list with good choices by glass, carafe,and bottle. Fairly well priced. Starters lacked precision, but "competent" technically, lacking wow factor taste wise but well presented. Mains, well, they have a Josper grill which suited the Angus steak well. My halibut slightly overcooked and served with a 'sauce' which proved to be a potato puree with port, and tomato or (very mild) harissa. Predominant taste of Heinz tomato soup. Desserts very well executed, including a free bonne Boucher's for our occasion, which was a sweet touch (Train Bleu, take note !). An under utilised hotel (St Ermins) resto, trying hard, but lacking the bums on seats to make the challenge which true talent relishes, and rises to.

First time here. Nice setting (albeit tables quite close together which wasn’t ideal for a business dinner). Reasonably wide choice from the menu and very attentive service. Good good - but slightly overpriced in my opinion.

Comfortable, unchallenging menu; we went on our first night in town so expectations were modest. Ox cheek main was very nice, but the duck breast was a very small portion. Service was a bit harried. No real complaints, but no compelling reason to return. Two starters, two mains, and three glasses of decent wine was £105 including service charge.

Really great restaurant! Many restaurants in hotels are overpriced and not really great but that's not the case here. Caxton Grill has the right atmosphere, the staff is really friendly, polite and not overly formal, it definitely doesn't have the pretentious atmosphere of some other places in the region. The receptionist was so lovely and the waiters were really great.

Travelling with work and dining alone isn’t always fun, but this restaurant located in St Ermin’s hotel was delightful. The service was impeccable. I have to recommend the burretto mozzarella orange salad starter, which was to die for. Will be back

Don’t eat at the Caxton Grill if you’re hungry! Food is good but portions are very small given the prices. Also luke warm. When asked if my meal was OK I remarked that the portions were small and was told that was because I had a lot of truffles. Please don’t ask customers how their meal is unless you genuinely care and can manage their responses!

Really good. Approachable food and beverages (not an extensive wine pour list - but really decent, and a full bar) . . . and, not just because of the hotel proximity.

Well, I guess it's ok. Good baguette but limited buffet choices. Hot breakfast costs more. Would expect more considering the rates - from $400 to $1000

Mi esposa y yo nos quedábamos cerca y nos detuvimos a cenar. Nos impresionó la sensación elegante y elegante del restaurante y nuestro servidor, Norbert, fue fabuloso. Pero, a pesar de las altas expectativas, el restaurante no pudo entregar en la cocina. Nuestras dos comidas fueron defectuosas: mi salmón era tibio, acuoso y poco cocido y el asado de mi esposa era un corte de carne sorprendentemente resistente.

Comimos el desayuno aquí. Optamos por el menú a la carta, en lugar del buffet, principalmente porque no queríamos un gran desayuno y hay muchos artículos que no me gustan.

Fuimos a Caxton Grill para la cena de San Valentín y tengo que decir que me sorprendió mucho porque todo superó nuestras expectativas. El personal muy amable; Nos recibieron con burbujas y también tuvimos un par de cócteles increíbles. Los camareros eran excepcionales y la comida, ¡guau! Sin olvidar mencionar que ambos éramos vegetarianos y dejamos la boca abierta en el restaurante con el alto nivel de los platos, la frescura de los ingredientes y el excelente servicio. El ravioli de hongos fue el mejor ravioli que he tenido! Nos presentaron a Leo Volpe, el jefe de cocina a cargo que nos dio a mí ya mi niña una experiencia de cinco estrellas. ¡El postre era divino! Sin duda volveremos.

We had dinner last night and received excellent service while enjoying a fabulous meal. The nightly specials all sounded amazing, but our meals was Excellent. Chateaubriand was 5 stars.

Sehr gutes Essen. Grillgerichte mit englischem Ursprung. Auch zum Dessert leckere lokale Käsesorten. Hatten einen sehr leckeren englischen Sekt, gab es leider nicht als Angebot im Glas.

First time at this restaurant. Very impressed. Had cocktails in the bar first served by a very knowledgable Gabriel who ran through the cocktail menu with us. We had steak and lobster for dinner which was delicious and again served by excellent and attentive staff. Excellent ambiance and we felt that we’d had a real treat. Not cheap but excellent quality and atmosphere. We will visit again.

Visited here last night what a fabulous meal we had, We had fillet steak with mashed potatoes, beans and garlic mushrooms and the venison dish. It was exceptional. The service was spot on, lovely staff very friendly and helpful. The cocktails was nice too.

We were surprised with the quality of the food and the excellent services , we visited the restaurant twice , my husband and I first night st the hotel and other night with the family in both cases the experience was very good .

The Craxton Grill is a great restaurant to dine at if you stay at St. Ermins. Top quality, top class service and fantastic drinks.

Hotel breakfast (as part of the room rental) was excellent by London standard. Good range of food. Occasionally you have to queue in the morning. Staff fantastic and attentive. Also had dinner and food of very high quality. Prices are those of a luxury hotel and worth it.

Lovely hotel and the Caxton restaurant was really nice but be aware of the set menu. I found it on line but when l arrived at the restaurant l was told that it has to be booked in advance. I have since checked the website and it makes no mention of this stipulation. Wanted a light lunch, so two courses on a set menu are perfect. Helpful staff and service was good. Will go again but disappointed.

This restaurant is in the St Ermin’s hotel. While it was not inexpensive, I did not find it to be as expensive as most hotel restaurants of this quality.

Rather limited menu choices but food nicely cooked and enjoyable if a bit pricey. Attentive and friendly service. Room quite attractive but a bit noisy.

Nice restaurant inside the hotel, the food is excellent, and especially the Grill in the name is well earned. Good variety of cuts, and pairing of wines. Service is excellent and very professional.

We stayed at the hotel attached and ate 4 breakfast meals plus 1 dinner here. I really think their dinner was superb. It was great. We got steak and lobster. The desserts were also excellent. The ambiance is very nice. We had the breakfast buffet each day and it was good. The wait staff were extremely helpful and nice.

Attached to the St. Ermin's Hotel. A nice quiet place to get a great meal. Could be casual but, I'd suggest a jacket with your jeans to fit in with the rest of the diners.

We had a business dinner and wanted a private dining room close to Westminster, so were pleased to find the Caxton Grill. The food was reasonably priced for London and we were not surcharged for the private dining facility. The meal was very good and the staff helpful and friendly. We certainly expect to return.

We ate here for breakfast and for dinner twice while staying at the hotel and enjoyed our meal every time. Obviously very convenient if staying at the hotel, but also a nice place for dinner in any event.

The Caxton Grill is attached to the St Ermins Marriott hotel which is populated mostly by Americans. The food is OK but a little pretentious, flakes of sea salt on the fries whilst I'd rather that they used fresh rather than frozen potatoes.

Always ambivalent about being a captive audience when staying at a hotel, we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality, ambiance, and service at this restaurant.

I had dinner here whilst staying at St Ermin's hotel, Westminster. Such a wonderful experience. The entrées were to die for also the steak, which was cooked on their famous Josper Grill. The staff are very friendly and they have a great wine list. I will definitely go back when in London.

We dined here one night while staying at the hotel so we didn’t have to go far. Soup was delicious and well presented. I had a chicken entree which was very good and a large portion. We enjoyed a few side items which were ok.

Wonderful pea soup, perfect fillet steak, onion rings are wonderful and the service was prompt and friendly. However...

We went to the Caxton Grill which was a short walk from our hotel. The setting was beautiful and the meal selections were wonderful and superbly prepared and presented. The only issue that occurred and prevented me from rating this restaurant as excellent was a service issue. We ordered wine with our meal and it was not served in a timely manner. My wife had almost finished her meal when the wine was finally served, after two requests. My meal turned cold while waiting and they had to return it to the kitchen to reheat it. I could understand such service glitches if the restaurant was busy. However, there were only five or six tables in use. This one problem will not prevent me from returning to the Claxton Grill the next time we are in London. The food was that good and I believe the service will be better.

I went for night out with friends and this is a gem in London. Had such a good time and food was amazing. Before our dinner we had drinks in a bar, which was with outstanding service from barmen Gabriel who served us with most delicious cocktails we ever tasted! Thank you for amazing customer service!

Quiet atmosphere, excellent service. We had dinner for four and most everything was very good, but the Rib Eye steak was extremely tough. Rib-eye is a marbled steak, so it has some fat, and that is fine, but the quality of the meat in the steak was not very good. Pricing was fairly high, so expected better. Stayed at the hotel all week, but didn't return to the Grill.

I stayed at St Ermins hotel and as I said before we had an great time at this hotel I can highly recommend also the Caxton Bar and Grill what wonderful service Since the pre drinks at The bar with Erika who look after us until the end of the dinner at Caxton Grill thank you for all the waiter special to Dorin

The food menu includes a wide range of choices. I can especially recommend combining a beef steak with half a lobster. It is really a good idea to have dinner at this restaurant.

The family had our last dinner in London here, and were not disappointed. Honestly, the pork belly and rib eye were 4.5, the burger with pulled pork was a 5+, and the service was gold star!
