Kicking myself that I didn't try Adair's sooner, but glad that I've finally made it. The reasonably priced menu featured a lunchtime 2 or 3 course set deal (£10.95 or £13.95). We fancied something from the main menu and weren't disappointed. Our meals were cooked to perfection and I loved their chunky homemade chips. Service was efficient and fast, and I loved the clean fresh look of the dining room. I'd originally discounted a visit to Adairs after a quick search of the internet seemed to indicate that it wasn't particularly vegetarian friendly. My mistake! We were in town and close to Adairs so went and had a nosey. Turns out the menu did feature a handful of veggie options, so we went right in and had a lovely meal. Drinks seemed reasonably priced and wine can be bought by the glass from £2.70 and a cup of coffee from £2. A good quality dining experience here won't break the bank!Adairs is tucked away in Queen's Court just off the Sandgate (or just off Newmarket Street). They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can read their newspapers with a cuppa and a fresh scone, maybe have a panini, or go the whole hog with a cooked meal. Check their website for opening times. Wheelchair accessible. Well worth a visit.

This is a relatively new restaurant, tucked away off the main road running through the town. It is attractively decorated, very tasteful, with original art on the wals for sale. It has an extensive menu, from sanwiches and pannni, to mains and desserts. It's wine list is good - the Malborough Sauvingon Blanc is fantastic. Staff are young and enthusiastic and very solicitous. All in all, it must be one of the best restaurants in Ayr, for value for money, for style and for friendly service. You must go and try it for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We were out on the golf course one sunny afternoon having a last whack before my friend jets off to University abroad for the foreseeable future. We had decided that an evening meal was going to occur and were banging our heads together at the prospect of a premium meal in Ayr. The only restaurant that was mentioned was the Rupee Room until out of nowhere someone suggest 'Adairs'. This shout out of nowhere quickly led to checking the menu online, we were all astounded at the menu range/price and decided a table should be booked. I took it upon myself to type in the number and call, 'table for three at 7:30 please' the young lady on the phone replied 'yeah i'll just sort that for... oh no wait we aren't open on a wednesday night' NOT OPEN ON A WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR DINNER... i was in shock, all the excitement that was built up was shattered in a millisecond... like I said in the title 'what could have been'.

Wow what a great recommendation from a friend this was! I loved the location and the different sections the restaurant offered but most of all I enjoyed the food. I had lamb, cooked to perfection, and my friend had the smoked haddock risotto, equally delicious. Great to see so much Scottish produce on the menu. I enjoyed the ambiance of Adair's. There was a lovely mix of age groups and everyone was made to feel welcomed and relaxed by the friendly but professional staff. Steven Adair and his partner, Hazel were also very visible, attentive and welcoming. I will certainly recommend Adair's to my friends and hope to return with my daughters very soon.

Our first two visits were a whole lot better than our third. We haven't been back since. The lamb was amazing and the wine pairings very interesting. Others in our party mainly seemed pleased on our first visit and the owner seemed keen to please. Unfortunately she wasn't there on our third visit or things might have been different. Two of us chose the pasta dish and found it totally underwhelming. The pasta was overcooked and it tasted very bland. We both left a lot of it and, when asked by the waitress how everything was, we pointed out that neither of us had found it tasty. She offered to bring the chef but he never materialised and nothing was deducted from our bill so, reluctantly, because the place has potential, we don't feel like hastening back.

I recently visited Adairs restaurant with my partner for a meal on a Friday night, originally planning to just have a meal and head home Adairs kept us wanting more! I started with the smoked salmon starter complimented by pickled vegetable salad later followed by the Perthshire lamb that was cooked to perfection and its red wine jus to die for! We aren't one for desserts but decided to stay on and have a cheese board, a selection of local cheeses and served along side was a tasty chutney with a kick, delicious. We carried on to some cocktails and drinks and enjoyed the cosy, relaxed atmosphere. The staff are always there when needed but not so much so that it's over bearing. Fantastic balance all round, tastiest, best quality food I've had.

A very warm welcome by friendly staff is what hits you when you first come through the door. The decor is bright and fresh in the bar area and the bistro is a lovely room made up of stone-clad walls, subtly lit by mini ceiling lights. We were served by attentive staff from a menu which would suit most palates. When the food arrived it was clear that a great attention to taste and detail is the norm. We have been back several times and each time the meal served was delicious and we left feeling both satisfied and well looked after. Would not hesitate to return.

What a fantastic treat this place was. If you appreciate good food then you will love this place. A very simple menu but everything was perfection. One of the only times in my life that I have been slightly jealous by seeing the vegetarian option that one of my group got. Wines were paired very well to the meals also which I thought was a nice touch on the menu. Finally the staff were very well train and created a pleasant environment to dine in. Could not recommend the place highly enough and will certainly be back anytime I am in Ayr. PS: I don't know the owners or work there, it was just genuinely a great dinner.

A hidden gem, first time visit but won't be the last. Not the largest menu but the food is a cut above the glorified pub grub which is available in most places in town. Three course evening meal for two, each dish beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. Priced very competitively for the local market, if this restaurant were in Glasgow they could easily charge three times the price. Can't fault the place.

Adairs is Ayr's hidden gem I'm almost loathed to share the secret! The menu is fantastic a real step up from the same old choices offered locally. My biggest challenge is to choose what I'm having! Although I can never pass on the lemon tart. The atmosphere is lovely very relaxed and welcoming when you go through the back it feels very cosy (perfect for a romantic meal). The staff are all very friendly and make you feel comfortable. I've been on several occasions lunch, dinner and even just for a cuppa and one of the yummy scones. The owners have really identified a gap in the market in Ayrshire and are working to keep everything at a very high standard. I for one will continue to be a regular customer, I really can't recommend it enough.

So many places in Ayr have closed that it is heartening to find a new one - particularly when it is as good as this. There have been previous eateries on this site but this newly opened one is great. Part of it serves as a cafe but we were ushered through to the back which is smartly presented for meals. We were early, just after twelve, so most of the tables were not laid and we were the only customers. Any misgivings were soon allayed as the place soon filled up. We had a light lunch - starter, drinks and coffee - and were well impressed. Excellent, friendly service; varied menu and good range of wines. A pleasant escape from the ubiquitous fish supper or tea and scones establishments which dominate Ayr.

Had pleasure in attending Adair's this week for a celebration lunch. We were struggling to think of anywhere in Ayr that would be a "special" treat so decided to give Adairs a go. We were certainly not dissapointed, we had three courses each and a bottle of wine and were very happy with the qaulity and freshness of ingredients. The menu is varied and offers a slight twist on traditional favourites. I understand the menu will change with the seasons, giving plenty of reason to keep coming back. Another bonus is that the menu pairs dishes with diffferent wines, which can all be ordered by the glass to come with the dish, a great idea and one I will try when I visit again. The restaurant itself is a great space, with different spaces for informal dining and the coffee shop. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional.only slight criticism is that the decor was a little rough round the edges, but the focus is on the food, as it should be. As a brand new business I am sure the decor will be refined as time goes on once it proves to be a success (toilets in particular).Cant recommed it enough, it gives Ayr something a little different and I really hope it goes from strength to strength.

I came in here for breakfast after leaving my son's car at a garage. As their first customer, I was able to choose a table near the living flame gas fire. There was a small bottle of sterile sanitiser on each table along with "Track and Protect" cards and a pen to use with them. I ordered a full Scottish breakfast with a large cappuccino and a glass of water. It wasn't long before everything arrived. The breakfast was well cooked and presented, the coffee was in a large mug with the frothy milk and chocolate on top and the water was in a large glass with ice.The waitress was polite and friendly.I could not have asked for anything to have improved my breakfast and the experience.I can thoroughly recommend Pandora in Ayr for a "Perfect Start" to your day.

This place is great. After being let down badly by another ‘hotel’ we got a room last minute here. We opted for dinner bed & breakfast. The room was immaculate and clearly they take pride in ensuring the place is clean & hygienic especially with the covid measures in place. The dinner menu had a great selection - even the menu with the supplement charge is very reasonable. The staff are fantastic, very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Thank you for a brilliant stay & this won’t be the last!
