Abinger Hatch in Mole Valley

Wonderful evening- great food and absolutely fantastic service - a huge thank you to the waiting staff on Wednesday night. Lovely atmosphere with the Christmas lights too.

The food was first class - Excellent “Pie of the day !” Steak , red wine & mushroom .. home made pie to die for !! friendly staff. Highly recommended

Not good , roast beef inedible, customer services poor, snappy unwelcoming and made to sit outside having arrived at 11.50am for a noon booking. Unimpressed

I thoroughly recommend lunch at the Abinger Hatch.It is such a welcoming and friendly pub where the food is delicious! They are also very dog friendly! We were served by Lucy who was exceptional.Really friendly and very professional.Nothing was too much trouble for her and she really made out visit complete.We have been many times to the pub and always had a great meal.Would definitely recommend it!

A bustling rural pub which is clearly very popular. We met friends for Sunday lunch. Parking is a challenge, not helped by nearby road closure/diversion when we were there. We had mains & puds. All roasts were apparently good except for my disappointing chicken which was over cooked & dry, inedible. I did mention this to our waitress but she didn’t comment & just cleared my plate away. Puds were good, & staff were generally very helpful & efficient. The location was a useful halfway meeting point for us & our friends, & the pub certainly served its purpose for that… not sure I’d rush back though…

Very disappointing visit. Had to wait 45 minutes for our meal (had to ask waitress were it was in the end) 4 meals came and no one enjoyed theirs, two fish pies didn’t taste of anything, trout was a tiny tasteless meal and my vegan burger was ok but chips were ridiculously salty. Room was cold which wasn’t good with 3 elderly people, log burner was on when we got there but no one kept it burning Overall a waste of time money

I really enjoyed my lunch at the Abinger Hatch. We were pleased to get to the pub today. It was a cold, wet and muddy five mile walk to get there. It’s a tidy looking pub. They had an excellent gluten free menu and the staff were great. I can’t drink the beer (unfortunately) but the Inches cider was excellent. Maybe if they read this they’ll try and get a decent GF beer in because I’d assume this pub is a magnet for gluten intolerant types, like myself. I had the Scotch egg starter and the fish and chips. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to eat either. The fish and chips were lovely. I’ll be sure to come back. Thank you.
