This is so good we came back twice whilst on holiday. Lamb jalfrezi, chicken shasklik and the cauliflower bhaji were all fantastic.

Tuesday night treat whilst staying ain our static van in Newquay. Read the reviews and decided to delve in. Unfortunately the curries selected were quite oily and the chicken, whilst tender, was rather meagre in portion size and taste. The three curries, chicken tikka masala, balti chilli chicken and dansak were very similar and not hugely distinctive in taste and kema nan lacked kema. Mushroom rice was fab. Overall, we were expecting better. We'd try again and hope for better next time.

One of the most popular Indian takeaway's in SW Wales. Food always well made and whether sitting down or take-away a warm welcome awaits. Never disappoints and overall good value for money. They do not serve alcohol but you can ByO which is no hardship really.

Went for an evening takeaway and the food is fantastic. It took no time at all, the Nowabi special is a must. The staff are really friendly and professional. We'll definitely be back!

Cardigan, like everywhere at the moment, is locked down. Tonight we needed a lift, a boost to our mood and so chose to eat here. Unable to dine in we ordered some of favourite dishes to takeaway. We are so pleased we did. Takeaways can be like good wine, they don't always travel well, but no so tonight.The food was fantastic, freshly prepared and piping hot. Our two favourite dishes tonight were a vegetable biriani and an incredible side of aloo chana (chick peas and potatoes cooked in onions, garlic, herbs, spices and tomatoes). The flavours were great, the colours of the different dishes were lovely and we had a lovely supper, thank you to everyone in Abduls for lifting our Saturday evening with your food.We have eaten in the restaurant many times over the years, it is one of our favourite places to take visiting friends and family. We would recommend this restaurant (and its takeaway option) without hesitation. The service is great and everyone there is lovely.

They fitted us in last minute despite being really busy. The food was outstanding, extremely tasty and would highly recommend the saag aloo, it was the best we have had in a long time. All the staff were lovely, very chatty, professional and friendly. Even the waitress who’s first day it was went out of her way to help us.

We came here on Friday evening for a family meal of three. The staff were ever so polite and friendly. The Covid rules by staff and customers were well adhered too and the restaurant very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, with excellent service. I would highly recommend and will come again.

First visit was in 2017. Told our friends that it was excellent and that we should go back. Pleased to say that it was as good in 2020 as it was in 2017. The food is exceptional. The friendly welcoming attitude of the staff cannot be beaten. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

We were staying in the area and this place was on the list of places to eat so we decided to try it.The outside could do with a lick of paint etc but inside it is a different place. A very clean and tidy restaurant with plenty of room in these COVID times. There were very good practices in place because of COVID and we felt very safe.The choice of food was large and the staff were excellent offering to adjust some of the ingredients for one of us.The staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful, polite and providing just the right amount of attention to you.The food came promptly and was delicious, hot and of good proportions.One of the best meals we have had, a bit of a gem really.

The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming; and very helpful when choosing dishes off the menu. My boyfriend and I ordered an appetizer, naan bread, 2 curries and 2 pilau rices. Everything was so delicious and fresh. We eat Indian a lot so are very picky, and this exceeded our expectations. There were definitely some leftovers so could have gone without an appetizer.We had chicken tikka korma and chicken bhuna and both curries were delicious!Very impressed, would definitely go back if we are in the area.

Went to Abduls last week with my grandaughters, first trip out to eat since lockdown. Was MOST impressed with checks in place, temps taken, contact details taken, all staff wearing masks and gloves, tables really well spaced out. Also must say really fantastic meal. Went to an Indian restaurant in Narberth yesterday nom checks in place whatsoever. Abduls gets my m vote both for care and wonderful food

Booked last minute and managed to get a booking. The restaurant was very clean and the staff all wore masks. Upon entering we were made to sanitise our hands and our temperature was taken. We were very impressed by this. The food was amazing and we really enjoyed it. The flavour and spice was just perfect and portion sizes are decent. At the end we found out that it was Abdul himself who had Cooked the food, which was nice to hear as his son said he prides himself with the restaurant. Abdul’a son served us and was very attentive and took time out to have a conversation with us. Would highly recommend this beautiful gem that we happened to find.

We ordered here while on a family get away. The food was nice and the service was good. Delivery wasn't available in the location we were about 15mins away. I enjoyed my food was nice.

On holidaying in Cardigan for the second time this was our 3rd visit to Abduls and again the service, food and ambience were second to none. Don’t be deceived by the outside of the building as it really is a little gem of a place with fantastic staff. Highly recommended.

We visited on Thursday evening. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. Fast service too. Bring your own wine and beer. We thought it was great value for money!

The last Wednesday in August 2020 & all pubs & restaurants in the area fully booked, so a stroll around Cardigan & the subtle spiced scents drew us to Abduls. The last available table for 2, track & trace sorted, temps taken. Our set Benghal Thali was a perfect combination of spiced delights. We'll be back.

We visited the restaurant tonight and I really cannot find words to describe how good it is. First of all safety, hand sanitizers, temperature taken and social distancing. The service was superb with nothing too much trouble. The quality of the food excellent. We have eaten Indian all over the world but none better than this. Thank you,Carl Timbrell

Enjoyed a fantastic meal here this evening, we love this Indian Restaurant so much that we traveled over 25 miles, just to come here. Great quick service, exceptionally polite and great value for money, and the food amazing.

Was here for a holiday and ordered a takeaway when we arrived. Had to wait longer than they reckoned, but the food was good. Tasty and some different dishes from most Indians. Would go again.

Such a shame after a week of being hauled up in isolation during our weeks holiday hoping to see family members which did not happen....we were looking forward to a good old spicy Indian to end on a high. Whilst it was much appreciated they were offering a delivery service during this difficult time I think they need a week in the North to taste a real curry..... my father @ 80 assumed he had ordered a real chicken instead it was 2 large chicken nuggets!!!! I was a bit embarrassed! The main meals lacked any spice my Balti was thick with grease and watery.... my partner's chicken korai had more onions and peppers than meat and my mother didn't pass comment on her meal. What I will say is whilst the Tarka Dahl looked like a soup it was tasty as was Channa Masala/garlic naan.... but it was overall a huge disappointment for a £50 meal....its a shame as we couldn't go out for any meals during that week. Nevermind.

First visit. I already knew the outside looked quite tired but inside the restaurant looked to be one of the best in the areaService was very attentive but unobtrusive Food was very tasty indeed but the chicken was very dry and was disappointing. A shame because overall it was a very good curry and great side dishes. We will definitely be back to give it a second chance.

Another visit to Abdul’s, excellent service and a lovely chicken pasanda, there isn’t a lot of choice if you want to eat, on a wet and windy Monday night in Cardigan ! But Abdul’s is well worth a visit !

Having not visited Abduls for at least 10 years (strange I don’t know why), we arrived early on Saturday evening to an empty restaurant. We were asked if we had booked which I found strange as the place was empty. In about 10 minutes whilst enjoying popadoms and pickles the place was completely full!! I soon found out why, the food ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was spot on and with “bring your own alcohol” we didn’t have to ask for a drink. They say that proof is in the pudding, and I usually have a doggy bag, but I could not stop eating as I was in curry heaven. We will definitely be back, even though it’s 25 miles away, and would highly recommend Abduls to discerning curry lovers.

My score reflects the experience rather that the food, as this was our 2nd visit after a great evening the last time we visited Cardigan. Firstly, I have to say the food was great and all 8 of the party enjoyed the food. However, later when discussing with my partner, we realised that my bill was quite high. A quick call confirmed that we had been overcharged and was told to return to receive a refund, which I felt was very inconvenient as I was away for a relaxing weekend, not chasing around after an overcharge which are very easily avoided if till receipts were given and not left to staff adding up. Didn't' go back to be refunded but if I do return in the future would certainly be checking my bill etc

What a Indian! From outside it doesn’t look that inviting but once you go in it’s completely different, spotless clean and so spacious.Staff were wonderful and the food was top notch, it has to go down with one of the best Indians I have had.

From the outside this place looks a bit tired but inside it is very different. It is spacious and smart and a nice place to be. We were served all evening by the daughter of the owner who was a lovely girl and certainly knows the menu and was able to offer her honest opinions for which dishes to try. We were a party of four and had starters and mains. Everything was first class and quite different to any other Indian restaurant we have been to (and there have been quite a few!) All in all a very successful evening and we left very impressed.

3rd time visit. As usual excellent food, attentive staff. I had the mixed dhansak It's a bring your own alcohol venue.

I went to abduls on the saturday 20th of December and had the most wonderful food for a long time. The staff were very helpful and and polite. But As I came up to pay a young lady was working at the front of house and said that she doesnt get tip and she does not want it as it doesnt go to her. I felt so bad when i heard this as most places I go they say they get the tip but it's not the first time ive heard this in a indian restaurant. When u work as a waiter/waitress you expect to get tips. But sadly at abdul spice u dont get tips And it is not fair on the workers to not to get what they deserve.i did not leave a tip when when the young lady told me and she also said the only reason shes telling people is because the boss has pissed her off over about wearing a jumper.. The food was very nice, lots of flavours and good choice of menu. Hopfully to return next year when I'm back down. But will not leave a tip and I think people should know about this.Thanks sandra x

Visited with my daughter. From the outside it doesn't really look like a restaurant more like a takeaway, which it is as well. The restaurant is behind the takeaway area and well worth a visit.The food was lovely, prices reasonable, portions large (take a big appetite) and service warm and friendly. They have a good range of soft drinks, but don't sell alcohol though you can take your own. We didn't book as it was midweek, but it was still quite busy. I would imagine it would be best to book weekends.

My wife and I got a take-away here, both saving veggie options, of which there was a good choice. Nice blend of spices and not floating in ghee. Friendly front of house staff. 5 star food hygiene rating on door.

Discovered by chance, what a find. The food was excellent. I had one of the chef's specials, it was simply delicious. Be warned that they do not serve alcohol, but don't let that put you off, the quality of the food is so good that it far outweighs the usual pint of larger. The staff were so very helpful and very friendly. Overall it was a seriously pleasant experience.

This has to be the best curry we have had since we left London 23 years ago. Fantastic flavours and cooked to perfection. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and catered to our every need. Very cosy and relaxed atmosphere. We will be back very soon.

Delicious food with a good selection and fantastic customer service. We had two meals there and the staff were very welcoming. The second night was busier but they still took time to offer advice on dishes.

The best thing about Abdul’s is the food. It tastes as if the person making it cares about what they do. I can taste spices and consider the mix of spices. The chicken can be cooked on the bone, making it tastier and more authentic. The spinach still resembles spinach. It hasn’t just been blended up. I feel healthier after I’ve eaten here, which is a statement bearing in mind most curry houses. The staff are still friendly and helpful. You help to make Cardigan a fantastic place. Keep it up.

With a room booked in a guest house in town for a one night stay I called in at Abdul's hoping for dinner, well into the evening. From the moment I entered the staff made me feel so welcome. The food came in good time and was very, very tasty! A very friendly, and professional, service from all staff and particular thanks to the two young ladies working who were just lovely.

What an absolute gem of a place, don’t be fooled by its somewhat austere facade and it’s off the track location at the end of a grubby quayside car park.

The service here is very polite and friendly. It is great that you can bring your own alcohol if you wish. Curries are of a decent standard and lovely and spicy. My chicken Tikka Pathia was very good. My husband ordered a Chicken and Vegetable Balti, but unfortunately there must have been some mix up in the kitchen as it arrived with only vegetables in it. Luckily he still enjoyed it !

Abduls knows how to cook and present great tasty food from the sub-continent and closer to home! The friendly , helpful staff helped our evening go well and we enjoyed being able to bring our own wine.

On holiday in the area and fancied a curry so took a chance early on a Wednesday night, at first sight it doesn’t look promising as it doesn’t have great curb appeal but don’t judge a book by its cover. Even though it was early evening a few tables were already taken which was a good sign and once inside it is lovely, the staff a very attentive and service is good. The menu is very comprehensive and the food was delicious and piping hot, do try the mint dip, it is very unusual and fabulous.

This restaurant is lovely and the food is really nice too. The owner Hussain was very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this as the food was delicious and and being Asian we really know our curries and this one is perfect .

We had not booked and a table was available. Service was excellent, we were offered poppadoms and chutneys while we looked at the menu.

We are a family with 3 teenagers and we love our curry. This place is fabulous. Very busy but friendly attentive service. Food was really good. Nicely cooked and presented. Definitely recommended. Bring your own alcohol too. They serve soft drinks.

A Saturday night in Cardigan. Busy evening in the summer. Walk down towards the car park and there is this small little door. It leads in to a fab restaurant with great food, served well and all staff very helpful and attentive. Even on a super busy night. We were with our seven year old and every table was full.

We were staying about 10 minutes outside Cardigan and fancied an Indian. It looked as though our options were limited but the reviews looked good so we gave it a try.

Having moved to Wales from Leicestershire, where we were spoilt for great Asian cooking, it was fantastic to find Abduls. Surprisingly spacious restaurant inside, comfortable and welcoming. Even though it was a busy night, the staff were brilliant. Friendly, good advice on the food, attentive fast service. Welcome to bring your own drinks as they are not licensed. They are happy to provide glasses. And of course the food was excellent. The best Asian dishes we have found so far in Wales. Good choice, great food and an excellent evening. Thanks Abduls.

We were holidaying in Tenby and drove over to this restaurant. We have been just once before but it was excellent. The food was exemplary and the hosting was great. We were made to feel very welcome.

We fell in here on the way back to our cottage and had a great selection of curries - jalfrezi, madras, chicken tiki, chick pea side, naans..... it was all very good. The curries had good chunks of meat in them, and we all very tasty. Portions size was good and the whole party was impressed. We’d go again if we were staying fir more than a week.

Take your own alcohol to this restaurant, they're happy for you to do this, and there's no corkage charges. Very friendly, efficient and polite staff. We live locally and it's the only place, in our opinion to have a decent curry with comprehensive menu, and good size portions. Nothing too much trouble, they even made something special for our friend who had trouble swallowing. How kind was that.

Visited last night. The food is very classic and fresh. Great portion size. I had the balti which was not to heavy and my partner had the mixed Kahri which was really fragrant but with a fresh spice kick excellent food!

This is one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. Everything cooked to perfection using local ingredients making fantastic flavours. There is sit in or take away. The restaurant is nicely decorated with good service.

Working away and with most of Cardigan apparently closed we sought out this restaurant tucked away by the river and with an adjacent public car park. They were very busy but found us a table almost immediately. Service was reasonably quick but as already stated it was very busy.

Had a lovely takeaway meal from Abdul's while on a short break to Cardigan. All food was delicious and the portions were very generous. So tasty that we enjoyed every mouthful. The only disappointing aspect is that we live too far away to eat from here often - but will certainly call at Abdul' s if we come to Cardigan again.

Did not realise until retiring home food missing and some orders wrong. Even checked with me that was what I ordered. Masala is different to most places. Not standard Indian slight twist on food. Very nice though

Cosy restaurant serving good standard of cuisine. Easy walking distance from town (the area from the castle), but it is down a bit of a hill. There does appear to be adjacent parking though.

We booked for Friday as Thursday was already full! The menu was plentiful with ranges of flavours and spicing to suit all tastes.

While we were staying at nearby holiday park.. We love a good curry. . Would certainly recommend Abdul. So.good we had another takeaway a few days later.

We had a takeaway for 5 people. We were all super impressed with the food. Chicken tikka masala Lamb korai Lamb shashlick Chicken bhuna Lamb really tender not fatty. Really rich tasty currys.

This place is a little gem. Food was absolutely beautiful, full of flavour and good portion sizes. Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Good, freshly cooked food, nicely served. Usual selection of dishes, just remember to take your own beer/wine otherwise it's soft drinks (we hadn't looked up any details before we went so was a bit of a surprise which we quickly adapted to!)

Large group of us went here for a meal. Service was first class. Caring and careful waiters. Food was perfect, can’t fault it. No bar so we were on the soft drinks, small price to pay for an excellent meal.

My husband and i have just had the worst take away ever, each dish swimming in oil, all tasting the same, a cheap chili taste burning the tongue with no flavor, and rock hard dried out onion bhaji, it was shocking, how can people serve food like that, we will NEVER go there again,

Pleasant,polite staff,but the jalfrasi curry was a bit bland. The phone was ringing constantly for takeaway orders so it's obviously a popular place.

Went here when we first discovered Cardigan. Never been anywhere else. Have five takeaways each week once or twice a year. Good variety and delicious. Never eaten in but food is usually better than takeaways and I can imagine the service is superb.

Went here with a group of friends! Food was very tasty and the service was excellent.

Just had a take away from here. The food was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Several dishes resembled dish water...this is a compliment. All dishes had layer of oil on the top..spot the meat. I have never tasted such a bad meal. I would avoid at all costs.

Following these reviews and local recommendations, we arrived at 5.30pm after a very long and tiring day. We were seated quickly and were served attentively. Food excellent. Clean. Car park close by. It does not serve alcohol but you are welcome to take your own. Happy to recommend to others.

Food was delicious. Service and front of house so welcoming. After a 6 drive from London it was just what we needed. We met Abdul and his family who were just wonderful !

They don't serve alcohol but let you take your own. The staff are friendly, but can be slow when busy. The restaurant is clean but only has limited toilet space.

Down here on holiday. Had a takeaway last night. Good food, ready when agreed. Wife's naan was the best she'd had for ages (better than our local).

We chose this on the basis it was the best Asian cuisine on TA in the town and were not disappointed. Staff were helpful, food very nice and a reasonable price. We arrived at 1730 - it opens at 1700 - made an order and came back at 6 and our takeaway was ready. Recommended.

We visited this restaurant when we came for a few days in holiday . I was expecting the usual over coloured over chilli powdered curry where all the dishes taste the same... I was really impressed. Firstly it took a while for the food to come and that meant it was being prepared .. each dishe had its own blend of spices. Not greasy or heavy . It tasted rich and as good as my mums who cooks curry all the time (being Indian) I would recommend a visit here

We have often visited this area but Abdul's looked a bit small from outside and we never felt drawn to it.After reading good reviews ,we have it a go.The interior has the TARDIS effect as it's a lot larger than it seems from outside.The staff were very polite,clean and efficient.We had a a jalfrasy and garlic rice,sag aloo with papadoms and chillies sauce that was a spicy challenge.It was the best Indian meal we've had in West Wales and we'll call again on our next visit to the area.

Really great curry house with very friendly staff and good value too. They fitted us in on a busy Sunday night and all the food was delicious and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Just a note for future diners - its BYOB.

We came here one night on our holiday in wales. The service was very polite and friendly and the restaurant seemed very clean and presentable.

Party of eight for friends birthday. Wonderful service from the beginning to end. Food was amazing, warm plates, plenty of choice for every palette. Highly recommended.

Dropped into Abduls for a takeaway. A very unassuming terrace house that opens up inside to a large well decorated restaurant. The staff were excellent and friendly. The food was lovely and portions were large. Would definitely use again when in Cardigan....

Stumbled across Abdul's by accident. Very glad I did! Seated straight away, the waitress was very attentive, the food was served quickly. There were plenty of vegetarian options, which is great, and I had lots of smaller dishes and tried a bit of everything. It was all delicious, and healthily accompanied by a very well made salad! You can even take in your own booze, if you like, and they open it for you etc, but I wasn't drinking. Nice atmosphere. Loved it.
