Abaseen in Bradford

The man with beard and big tummy with a hat was extremely rude to customers. He was severing and abusing people rather than apologising for delayed orders. Take away staff even looked scared of him and at the end one of his colleague was brave enough to tell him that it was his fault not to prepare orders at time. He is a disgrace and should be sacked from the job.

Rude staff, travelled 11miles did ring prior to setting of numerous times no answer, arrived only to be told phone orders only which I mentioned iv been trying constantly in which he replied our lines are of so how the hell are you meant to order so just went else where will never be using them again wasn’t interested in a loyal customer.

Nice friendly place, kebabs are top notch.

I was ordered last week £ 52 orders and my fish and naan is missing its abhseen fault but when I phone that day my order is missing staff said it’s our fault you can come and collect any time but when I was visiting today in takeaway he said I can’t given you because it’s last week I am so disappointed I am not recommending this take away anymore

The food was delicious as per, but, I wish the waiting time wasn’t as long as it was, as I did ring in advance to place to order, and I still had to wait 40 minutes THIS IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE!! Usually they are really good, it might have been that they were really busy

I prefer to eat at home, the place is humbly small for a few people only and wouldn't take family and kids there to eat in. Great for just you and your mates though

the food may look a bit odd at first, but it is DELICIOUS!!!! The kebab meat is superly seasoned and the naan bread is huge, and the prices are tiny for what you get!!!!! Must go again 👍👍👍

My first visit, and tried the chapal kebabs which were very tasty. The karahi chicken handi on the bone was not spicy @ all, but was okay. I will be going again, and do recommend the food.

I have been to this branch which I have been told is the real one on Willow Street or the oldest and I have been to the leeds road branch as well. For some reason I like the one on Leeds road I have been there many times. Maybe I should try again going back to this branch.

Myself , my husband and children visited this place for the first time this afternoon. We had initially gone for the chaapli kebabs however upon reaching there and looking at the menu we enquired about 1 kg meat handi. We asked the person behind the counter that we would like to order half kg of lamb handi because we hadn’t tried it before. The waiter then came to our table and swayed us into ordering 1kg and he informed us that if we didn’t like it we wouldn’t be charged for the dish. We placed our order and First came the chapli kebabs in nan. These were spot on as usual enjoyed by us all. Then came the full lamb handi. The colour wasn’t pleasing to look at and nor was the taste. None of us enjoyed it. The same waiter came to our table to ask us our thoughts on it. We told him we weren’t happy. He then said he will try to put it right by taking our dish away and bringing it back with more gravy and spice even though we told him not too. The same dish came back to the table again with minor adjustments made to it. We still weren’t happy with the dish and left it half eaten. When we went to the counter to pay, the person who served us first was nowhere to be seen. We ended up paying for the full 1kg of lamb handi. We were disappointed with the workers false promise. I would recommend the Chapli kebabs however do not order the meat handi and do not believe the words of the workers.

Amazing delicious food. Gives you a taste of back home

First time visiting this place following a huge recommendation from family. Took the chance whilst seeing family in bradford. Parking can be an issue as garages opposite the road but also a busy route for residents in the area. Speaking to the owner who said they use only beef meat for their kebabs and with the ingredients its kept simple. 2/3 hours later back in brum, kebabs were reheated and tasted fresh, very good flavour from the spices used and not overly done. The red chutney goes super well with the kebabs aswell as the green mint chutney. Naan size enough to be shared with three people - if you are looking to share each of the kebabs. 3 kebabs for £9 which is par with shops in brum.

Decade ago they were the best but since then standards have dropped considerably, packed with too much flour n very little taste. Shame. UPDATE 2023 - Since new management took charge over past few months, the girlington (ORIGINAL) branch has been by far the best, back to their old glory days. Listened to customer feedback and reduced the flour, improved the recipe as it used to be and so by far the best chapli kebabs in the country. A genuine nice front of house owner, always will look after you and has told us today that they now also make their own chilli sauce which was nice. My cousin came all the way from birmingham to taste their kebabs as has heard alot about abaseen and was treated to a kebab on the house, full respect, the best!! Iv tried various branches but the original will always be no1.

The last time I ate there, the food was mouth-watering this time, and I didn't have the same experience. I found the chapli kebab to be a little undercooked and not as tasty as before. Maybe they were using a different chef or meat, but I'm not going to say it was awful, as I was seen to professional service. It was great, just the taste was a little different. The atmosphere for me was perfect. Nice quite takeaway and fast service

We had chicken karahi 15£ this was ok. Thankgod no curry / onions in itz properly cooked only in tomatoes. Roti was good. 1.5£/each. Chapli kebabs at 2.5£/each which were ok too. Decent food for a local Pakistani taste.

Very few genuine old style restaurants exist these days. This place serves very tasty Chapli kebabs and great naans too.

Was good initially but seems to have gone down hill recently. Ordered via phone for a pickup, but when I arrived, it took another 40 minutes to get my order. Apparently, they had a large order which seemed to be more important than their in-store customers which they failed to mention when I arrived

If your not fussed about eating in a desi little takeaway/restaurant then go here and try the Lamb Karahi it’s amazing.

Only tried chapal kebab with naan which were tasty and reasonably priced. Only issued was the seating and kitchen area were not the cleanest.

Heard a lot about it and tried it today. Chapli kebabs were okay not much flavour in terms of heat and salt also not much meat in it either, mainly flour to make them look bigger. Good portions but expected a lot more on the taste front.
