Ate here again while staying at the hotel. Food was great and restaurant staff extremely froendly. Prices are very reasonable.

A large group went and stayed here over night and visited limitless adventures, this was one of the best experiences we had as a group, the hotel staff were very friendly, very helpful and welcoming, we sat on after dinner and stayed up till 4am, talking with other guests as there was a wedding do on that night, breakfast was lovely. And the beds were very comfy. If yous go up this way check out limitless adventures the staff are very accommodating.

The family wanted to have a night out and I scoured the menus of all the restaurants in Derry. This was the best. The starters and mains were excellent. We have booked Christmas on the back of the meal.

First class restruant, brillant food and exceptional service deapite being busy all at a reasonable price. Scallops to start and brie as well was so light but very tasty followed by the the Seafood platter for two it was brilliant. The vegan option for my daughter was an Aburigene dish which was apparently amazing..... lol. This restruant is well worth a visit and need to book early as reputation is building.

Slow service from start to finish. 30+ minutes between courses. We had to ask for drinks as we were not offered any. When we needed more they didn't bring any when we ordered more. The starters and deserts were good but the main was bland, this was the same for everyone's main. We would be more forgiving if the service wasn't as bad as it was. We just won't be back.

Pleasant atmosphere and comfortable dining amenities. Our only fault was the rather large portions so you don't really need a side and the service, as none of the wait staff made us feel welcome and they did not come to check that everything was alright once we were served! We got the impression that they may have been understaffed as the same person who checked us in served us.

Very very disappointed with the service. We had to askfor a jug of water several times before it was delivered to our table. We also had to ask for dishes to be cleared and waited 25 mins for dessert. We did not know if we were being ignored or abandoned.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff, always served promptly. The food flavours are great so we are always coming back for more- weather its Sunday dinner or evenings during the week for a treat.

Visited last night for dinner with family. Excellent meal - everything was great. Steaks and roast beef were particularly tasty. Good service. Joy was excellent throughout - attentive and friendly. Will be back again soon

Decided to go to the white horse for food this evening right away I found the staff to be very rude I have a fussy 13 year old and the menu was very limited with the reduced menu due to the 50% off deal there were only 5 options. The man that served us was no help when we asked if we could get a large kid nuggets he just kept saying no we only serve what’s on the menu being very abrupt towards us. We nearly left the restaurant until he said he could do a large portion. Drinks order was wrong, staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing and weren’t friendly at all.

I often stay at the White Horse hotel in Derry for work. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. There are plenty of restaurants in the town to choose from but I always end up eating at 68 Clooney in the hotel as both the service and quality are on point! The new menu is really delicious with lots of vegetarian and vegan options which suit my needs perfectly. I’ve seen the menu develop over the last 18 months and it keeps going from strength to strength. The staff and service are 5* I can’t thank Joy and his team enough for always looking after me and creating a wonderful atmosphere here. I’d highly recommend anyone staying in Derry to eat at 68 Clooney 👍🏼 Thank you again!

I have visited here many times with my family and it never disappoints! The menu is quite varied with an emphasis on locally sourced produce! Food is always beautifully prepared and presented. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, especially Joy!

Went out undecided where to go and choose the White Horse hotel , (68 Clooney) We had an excellent meal and the live piano music was very relaxing and made us feel that we could have been in the best restaurant in London or Dublin and this was all complimented by the great prompt service by Joy Abraham the Restaurant Manager and his pleasant team, all in all a beautiful experience. I have visited this restaurant many times with my family. The food is always fantastic and the service from all the staff is second to none. We always receive a warm welcome from Joy Abraham who we have gotten to know over the years. He creates a warm atmosphere and always has time to have a chat and provide a very attentive service. A fabulous selection of food with loads of local produce. Cannot be faulted.

Visited here yesterday for the first time in years and have to say it will be a long time before I rush back again. We arrived at 3.30pm and whilst two of us were happy to have the carvery one in our company would have preferred the a la carte option. We asked regarding this and were told our only choice was carvery. There were three meat options on the carvery and no salmon options as offered in most modern hotels. My mother who would have preferred the a la carte option as she isn’t keen on meat had to choose a meat option as no fish option available. We obviously landed at hotel for our dinner when it was just the leftovers of the carvery remaining. The puréed vegetable soup was like something a ten year old could have made, not appetising looking and it was cold. The bread rolls to accompany soup were also cold. I ordered the beef for my main-whilst the chef offered to get me a fresh piece from the kitchen as it was an end bit left on carvery I was happy enough with that. Beef was tender. The vegetables were hard and mushy peas had a thick skin on them. The Yorkshire’s were cremated and I was given one tiny Yorkshire. Not exactly forthcoming on the portion front. All in all a disappointing experience from start to finish with more staff in the place than diners. Dining area also needs a refurbishment. Staff not friendly and despite not being busy we waited to be seated for 5 minutes with a young baby whilst one of the waiters swirled his tray in the air not even noticing that we were waiting. Do not waste your money, go elsewhere.

Excelente restaurante con excelente servicio.Un comedor bastante formal pero de ninguna manera sofocante, perfecto para familias y parejas.El personal te hace sentir como un viejo amigo, siempre atento pero nunca intrusivo.Los entrantes fueron excelentes, aunque la estrella del espectáculo fue el chateaubriand, fue increíble. Cocinado a la perfección con la mejor reducción de salsa / vino tinto que he probado, ¡casi lo beberías!El postre "construye tu propio" hizo la noche de mi hija, ella no puede esperar para volver.

Can not recommend this restaurant high enough the staff were all excellent and very accommodating. As well as this the food was outstanding with great portion sizes and everything was cooked to perfection.

Visiting with my mum and aunt who needed a big warm dinner in a quiet restaurant - White House was perfect. We had the roast and apple pie for desert. Great service and portions, and reasonably priced. The place was also nice and warm and quiet - perfect for my family members with hearing aids. Parking at the front door was also great. Thank you!

El ambiente es tan relajante que la música en el bar era perfecta para el día de la calle Patrick y la comida por la noche. Fue increíble que nunca nos mudamos todo el día y luego el uso de las instalaciones de ocio fue una ventaja que debería ser de 5 estrellas, sin duda volveremos. . .

Restaurant is lovely. It offers a varied menu with choice of meats, fish, vegetarian etc. The food is delicious and staff go out of there way to help.

The friendleness and helpfulness of ALL the staff in this Hotel is amazing and won't be matched anywhere. It's a very homely hotel whilst matching any other hotel in food, acvomadation and leisure facilities

Blown away by the food yet again in the restaurant. I found it really difficult to choose what I wanted because everything on the menu sounded delicious. I opted for garlic mushrooms and Carlow lamb. It was exquisite- can’t wait to return and try the monkfish. Service from Niall and the other staff simply second to none

My 2 sisters and I had a delicious dinner. The service and meal was great. The pianist was excellent. I love the new menu style. The lights could be dimmed from 8pm on.

I have just eaten here because I was tired of driving and just checked in in the hotel. The restaurant is quite worn out, the furniture is from the 70s, and should be heavily renovated. The dishes aim at being posh but they are quite scarse. We ordered grilled cheese and some lamb. Both plates arrived almost cold. Quality is average. Prices are top. Not worth it at all. Meanwhile I was eating I saw a waitress preparing for next morning breakfast. A fork fell on the (dirty) floor, she picked it up and put it back on the table. I felt sick at my stomach thinking that it could have been my fork.

Had the most amazing time as I booked a surprise Birthday present for my mum and I wasn't aware I had to book the treatment (due to booking with Spabreaks). All staff were very attentive and couldn't have done any more caring as a woman came on her day off to do our facials. Very clean and amazing food. Will be back again!!!! Could not thank them enough, in the heat I got a cooling fan and ice cold water delivered to my room. Would definitely recommend

It's a beautiful corner of the world, and after visiting a few of the attractions during a long day of driving we arrived at the hotel tired and hungry and decided to have dinner there with no particular expectations. WOW! What a great meal, all fresh ingredients and prepared from scratch. Delicious and reasonably priced and impeccably served by Joy Abraham and his highly professional staff. What a treat to have a meal without a waiter asking "How were the first few bites?". One of the highlights of the day. We highly recommend it.

We had an amazing meal here with friends earlier this week. There were so many tempting things to choose from the menu, with lots of great locally sourced food. All the dishes were beautifully presented, and we all agreed tasted great. I had a gorgeous haddock dish for my main, the fish tasted very fresh having been landed not far away at Greencastle, and my other half had perfectly cooked Irish lamb. Starters and desserts were all really great too. The service was excellent, professional and friendly. We left feeling full and very happy. We highly recommend it!

Very friendly, courteous and quick service, really good food with excellent quality surroundings. When we had finished they did not hurry us out either as we were the last to finish. A brilliant find when hungry and in unfamiliar surroundings.

We had a beautiful meal here on Saturday night while staying in the hotel. There was a great selection and it was a struggle to decide on what to order. We were delighted with our choices...I particularly enjoyed the ribs as a starter, and my other half was very impressed with his steak. The Eton mess sundae was a lovely finish to the meal. Great food and service all round.

We recently ran a sporting event from this hotel and will be back again next year. The staff were so accommodating, gracious and simply a pleasure to work with. They responded instantly to our needs and helped us problem solve outstanding issues.

Absolutely fabulous Chateaubriand Steak and great value for money. Adds a theatrical flair to your dining experience. Well worth the visit.

Stayed at the hotel for 12 nights whilst working away. The food in the restaurant and bar was amazing. The service from all the staff was excellent. And Lenny the bar man was a great bloke. Thanks for a great stay.

we had a 4 course meal in 68 Clooney along with a bottle of wine midweek and our overall experience was great. Menu was interesting with quite a variety. My partner had the duck which he is still talking about and has told so many of our friends about the great meal he had. Customer service just right and we will definitely return

Myself and a friend came here on Tuesday (10th) for a meal. We arrived and a man seated us. There were two menus and we were not informed of the soup or roast for the day but we let this go because maybe the man had forgotten. We had no drink order taken until we asked when he came to take are food order. My friend is gluten free but he was dismissive of this and were given little information so we had to work it out for ourselves. When are food arrived a side was missing and the same man said he would go get it for us. We never got that side and when we brought this to his attention he was again dismissive and didn’t apologise. We were not asked if we wanted any sauce so we did without to. When he came to take are plates away we were not asked if we wanted dessert, even though we did. But a few moments later he showed up at our table with the bill.

The staff were very polite, attentive and friendly. The food choice was slightly limited but the quality and taste was very good.

Had a family dinner here recently and what a fantastic surprise we got. We were greeted by an absolute Gentleman who took care of us from we arrived. We ordered a drink and there was no problem holding our table. Menus were brought to us to browse while we had our aperitif and our order was taken. We had salmon, carrot and coriander soup, prawns and garlic bread for starters. Everything was full of flavour and the presentation caught our attention immediately. It's a long time since I've seen restaurant service so slick and professional. We were given time between courses, which I like. Our mains came and again the service was brilliant. Again we all had something different from steak cooked perfectly to seabass and pork. Desserts came and went and again no fault could be found. There is a small but excellent wine list to accompany your meal. I had been to one of the more popular restaurants in the city a couple of weeks previous to my visit to 68 Clooney and it doesn't come close to what was an absolutely brilliant dining experience. It is a 10 minute taxi ride from the city centre and well worth a visit. Congratulations and thank you to all who made our night a great family occasion.

Llegamos sin reserva y después de un poco de mimos a mostraron una buena mesa. Entrantes terrina de pollo sopa y estaban bien, pero nada a destacar - la sopa estaba fría. Platos principales de carne y lubina y estaban bien, pero al tener que pagar un extra por "suplementos" y "guarniciones" que debería pensar en el plato es molesto - es realmente demasiado pedir para patatas y vegetales de venir con el pescado y platos de carne sin tener que pagar extra? (Tal vez debería explicar que no son de la zona y han encontrado que esta parece ser una práctica común en toda Irlanda del Norte). También la carta de vinos era bastante limitado. Yo creo que esta es la primera vez que me he encontrado muchos de los vinos de supermercado" en un menú. Nuestros servidores era atento y eficiente y el restaurante en sí es precioso.

Tomamos el té de la tarde aquí como parte de un paquete de spa. Bien bien bien. . . . La comida era increíble, el servicio era excelente y no es comparable a nadie en la zona. Jay Abraham fue muy atento y no podía hacer lo suficiente! ! Volveremos muy pronto. . . Me encantó!

Visitamos hoy aquí de nuevo para el té de la tarde y no nos decepcionó. La comida era fabulosa, y el personal es increíble, feliz y complaciente. Una decoración preciosa y me encantó cómo se fija el aumento de privacidad. ¡volveremos!

Me encantó la selección en el menú a la carta. El personal era muy atento y respondió a preguntas sobre el menú con alegría. Marido vegetariano quedé muy impresionado de tener algunas opciones inusuales. Todo estaba delicioso y volveremos otra vez a probar algunos platos diferentes. . El cuadro de al lado tenía un bistec que compartir en su tallado y flambéd mesa que parecía increíble.

En leer los comentarios, decidimos comer aquí, ya que parecía que se vanagloria de tener un menú.

Nos alojamos en el hotel en un paquete que incluía una noche comida de 4 platos, nos sentamos en una cala aislada, que era muy agradable, el personal era muy atento y disfrutamos de cada uno de nuestros cursos. Me di cuenta de que era sólo £19. 99 por persona por 3 campos que es muy razonable. Volvería otra vez si me he pasado en la zona.

Honestly couldn't wait to write a review for this hotel after such a lovely family day out at their easter carvery..Everything was beautiful..Starter..Main and desert.. Staff here are so welcoming and friendly.. They actually go out of there way to chat to you and your little ones..The Easter bunny and all the little extras made it so special.. Thank you all so much..we've already reserved for Xmas day!! Xx

The carvery was lovely and great value for money. The staff were fabulous, very attentive without getting in the way.

We ate here 2 nights in a row. The first wad included with our stay at the hotel and was the 2 course special. Just ok but everything have the impression of being bought in frozen and stuck in the deep fat fryer. Husbands soup was also overseasoned. On second night we hadn't booked anywhere and everywhere else we wanted to be was fully booked so we went for 3 course set meal. Starters were just ok although I had tempura which was supposed to come with an oriental dipping sauce, shop bought sweet chilli sauce was not what I expected. Husband ordered a steak and asked for it well done it came out still very pink in the middle and obviously bloody. Sent back and it returned still pinkish. He didn't want to make a fuss but nobody cared enough to ask if it was ok second time around anyway. He left large chunks of it so a waste of the additional £6 supplement. My main was pretty uninspiring salt and chilli beef with bought in sauce fired over the top of it. Desserts were microwaved pecan pie with hard as a rock crust and totally flavourless raspberry and chocolate torte. Definitely not worth the £55 bill and would certainly not recommend.

I had dinner here with my parents, my brother and his family. The food was excellent and the staff were polite and attentive. I would highly recommend dining at 68 Clooney.

Lovely food, great service and a nice atmosphere to sit and relax in. Staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough to help. Toilets are spotless. I would recommend trying this place.

I order an chicken Tikka Masala, I know its not an Indian dish but I asked for it to be prepared as authentically as possible. What appeared was heavenly!

I ate twice time in this restaurant the food was good, but have the service. The waiter for twice time has made a mistake to take a order, and servered the main course before my husband and after some time to me. We ate separate. They need to change the restaurant staff or to have someone who organize in best way.

A very competitively priced three-course meal is offered in the restaurant in the evening which really suggests that the chef's actually perform in the kitchen, since most of the listed ingredients are local - and very tasty, too! Fair range of wines offered by the glass, too.For breakfast, however, the kitchen needs to learn how to cook their sausages, as they were served pallid and with no sign of having been browned. Quite off-putting!

My fiancee and I stayed on a spa break at the White Horse Hotel for a night and ate at 68 Clooney. I have to say if you ate here you would find it extremely difficult to be disappointed with the food and the service. We were attended to by Monika, restaurant manager who was extremely attentive and most professional. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Thai fish cakes to start and the duck for main....beautiful! My fiancee had the rabbit spring roll and the salmon for main and it was equally delicious!! Could not recommend this place enough...based on tonight the service and the food we're seriously considering holding our wedding reception here. Will be back very soon

We were staying at the Best Western White Horse Hotel, and we ate downstairs at the 68 Clooney Restaurant. It seemed like a nice restaurant, possibly a wee bit fancier than we were thinking. We shared the Grilled Halloumi and the Trio of Goats Cheese.

Was spending a night here and decided to eat in the restaurant after looking at the menu. The staff were excellent and very attentive and friendly. The service was quick and I must admit the menu choice was good. The three of us all enjoyed our meals - especially the belly pork with black pudding. Prices were good considering this is a hotel.

Had lunch here last Sunday and it was just ok. Starter of pork belly was a bit soggy and chewy and my daughters prawn salad was presented poorly and unappealing.The carvery was ok nothing special , we enjoyed a nice lemon dessert and coffee. Good enough value for 15.95 but lots of better places to have Sunday Lunch. I hate those wee booths they put you in where you can't see what is going on. Service was fine we were greeted at reception by very friendly receptionist ( Chloe)who directed us to the restaurant. Although we had booked a table we had to wait around until one was cleared and set up .

What a disappointing experience, heard a rumour the restaurant had improved so decided to give it a try. It hasn't. Waiting staff were dismissive, uninterested and down right bored looking. Menus looked like they were very old, with very limited choice. Food itself felt like it had been heated up in a microwave, along with gross misrepresentation of two sad end bits of lettuce as a 'salad'.There are lots of great other places to eat in the waterside...

Bequemes Restaurant obwohl die Sitzecken etwas zu dick gepolstert sind. Fleischbufet am Ende der Mittagszeit sah OK aus, war alles aber ausgetrocknet und kaum lauwarm. Nachtisch war sehr gut, obwohl Service war ziemlich langsam und fehlte an Besteck.

Thank you to the staff and management of the White Horse for a wonderful family celebration of our Mum's 60th birthday. We couldn't have had nicer treatment and our food was fabulous, particularly the sirloin steaks and the crispy lamb. A special mention to the chef for delightful amuse bouches! The restaurant staff were extremely attentive during a busy weekend for the hotel. Overall a top notch experience. Looking forward to our next trip.

I attended an evening reception at the white horse a couple of weeks ago. My boyfriend and I had been considering getting married there and we were waiting to see what the room looked like when it was laid out. It did look amazing and we had put the hotel on our maybe list. That was until my boyfriend ordered me a diet coke at the bar and was given a warm glass with it. My boyfriend returned to me with the glass because we have both worked in bars before and know what to expect, and this wasn't it. I returned and asked the manager lenny (I think that's his name) if he would please give me a cold glass. He looked at me like I had Two heads and said a cold glass? I replied yes a cold glass. He felt the glass, rolled his eyes, gave a massive sigh and eventually gave me a cold glass. Not service I expect to receive from a manager at a hotel.

Cant fault the food and our waiter Joy was exceptional but found 68 clooney was like a retirement home and the barman did not have the capacity to make a cocktail that was not on the small cocktail menu.

Superb from the start. Very attentive staff seated me quickly and were extremely polite.I didn't bother with a starter ordering the aforementioned steak but none the less I was presented with a complimentary cup of soup which was appreciated and tasty. When the steak arrived it was precisely as ordered and one of the best I have ever had. Treated myself to the pecan pie and found that to almost match up to that godly steak!Go and get the Fillet, you will not be let down. Top notch.

Ce restaurant c'est le top.Le service: parfait, gentil, chaleureux et proLes plats: divins. La cuisson du canard ou celle de l'agneau étaient parfaites: un des meilleurs repas de ma vie (désolée maman). Côté dessert un peu moins bien, mais on reste dans l’excellence. Je dirais qu'il y en avait trop dans l'assiette et que ça gagnerait à être un peu plus simple.Les conseils pour le vin : parfait.L'addition pour notre diner était de $56,15 pour 2, mais la qualité le justifie largement.

Top marks for 68 Clooney! Their a la carte menu has a great variety and a very international twist. The prawns to start with, followed by an amazing steak were top quality and perfectly cooked and presented! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We'll be back!!

Had Sunday dinner here with my family and young baby. Food was perfect. Service was first class and surroundings very comfortable.

We started with the spicy prawns and deep fried Brie before ordering the chateaubriand for two, all were cooked perfectly with the main cut at the table by a member of staff who are all polite, friendly and helpful! Great dining experience that i'd highly recommend!

The ambience was lovely, the staff welcoming, efficient and helpful and the food....just beautiful, and very well priced for a 4* hotel. The first night of my stay was an Indian buffet night. It was four courses: a trio of entrées (spicy lentil soup/onion bhaji/fish with poppadoms and pickles) about 7 types of curry, rice, and atrio of desserts (carrot cake/ice cream/mango mousse) then coffee. It was piping hot and simply beautiful and plenty of it, all for £19.95. Breakfast was equally good, plenty of it, a lovely variety of hot and cold food. Other dishes I sampled in the evening was lasagne/garlic bread/champ and the White Horse burger, which I particularly enjoyed. Two courses for £11.95 was very reasonable, and Inwas completely full; no room for dessert, unfortunately! I cannot recommend this highly enough, and look forward to visiting again if ever I am sent on business that way in the future.

Stopped for dinner as had not been in a while and had seen new menu on Facebook. Everything was perfect and we'll looked after by Joy. I went for surf and turf which was dearest thing in menu at £21.95 but was well worth it with a perfect steak just how I asked for it, prawns ,risotto and breaded beef cheeks. An excellent experience. Only complaint, I was too gull to have any dessert, there is always next time

Hotel restaurant belonging to the Best Western White Horse Hotel. Nice modern feel to dining area with la numer of little alcoves that provide privacy. Good a la carte and table d'hôtel menus. Interesting range of food including rabbit and venison . Wines are reasonable price and range. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall good experience

We were staying at Best Western White Horse Hotel where Dinner was included in our Package.We reserved our Table for 7.00pm and upon arrival were immediately seated by friendly Waiter who provided us with Food and Drinks Menus.We choose to be seated in a booth and found this most comfortable and Satisfying.We choose Chicken Liver Pate and Soup for our Starters which duly arrived within 10 minutes and proved to be delicious.From a good selection Main Menu we chose Sirloin Steaks and side dishes one Medium Rare and the other Medium to well done.Upon arrival these were cooked to perfection.For Dessert we had Ginger Parkin and Rum and Raisin Ice cream, and a trio Portion of Ice Creams.Overall the food was excellent.The Service also was first class.The Clooney Restaurant is also used for the Hotels Breakfast Service which was included in the review for the Hotel. The Food on offer and the Service at Breakfast was again excellent.The Restaurant can be recommended for singles, couples our Larger Groups.Would we return, Definitely yes.

Went here with a work colleague recently for lunch on a weekday. The café we were going to visit close by was closed.We both went for the carvery lunch. The food warm and very tasty.I will be back here again, glad we decided to give it a try.

This was my first experience dining in 68 Clooney but it will not be my last. I was dining during a Carvery style lunch service with my work colleagues and friends in the lead up to Christmas. We had a great festive meal. The starters and Desserts as well as tea and coffee where served to our table and a very well presented chef carved our main course meats and served our accompaniments. The standard of food was great and the service was what you would expect from such a great Hotel.I would highly recommend for lunch and cant wait to come for dinner and write another review!!See you all again soon!

Excellent food and excellent friendly service. My kids are very fussy eaters and were well catered for. My wife is a vegetarian who dislikes vegetables so we were not easy to please.

Had eaten there before and loved it and this time 4 course meal part of a package ' here come the girls'. Service profession and efficient. Quality of food was fantastic and despite it being quiet the place did not feel uncomfortable to stay in. Not a beef person usually but as I was slightly limited in my choices from the package menu I chose it was was delighted. The meat was cooked to perfection and I was terribly sad to be unable to finish my meal as I was so full ....... But I will be back to attempt it agan.

Called in while kids were skating on the ice at Ebrington. Serve food all day which does not seem to be common in the city. Only place I could find to get a jalfrezi at 330 in the afternoon. The chicken jalfrezi was authentic indian food and my partners steak sandwich was good too. The curry would equal any I have eaten in Indian restaurants. The restaurant set up is fantastic with low lighting and plenty of distance between diners. I would highly recommend this restaurant for couples and families alike. Staff were very polite and a credit to their profession.

This restaurant is a hidden secret that needs exposed. 68 Clooney is not just a Hotel restaurant but a top restaurant in its own right. The new menu offers everything and very reasonable price for the quality you receive. My party of four had two fillet steaks which were perfect in size, quality of meat and cooked to perfection. My Mum had a chicken en croute which she admitted she could not have done better...fine praise indeed. I had the rack of lamb and all I can say is that it was perfection. I have dined in Derry - Londonderry several times but honestly this was the best meal I have had in the City in years. Good Luck 68 Clooney with your new menu.

The food choice was good, but there were a couple of items on the set menu that we would have liked to order but couldn't, which was a pity, as our guest didn't get to eat her preferred dish. Service, though friendly, was far too slow.

Il Capocantiere a Derry ormai da 3 mesi ci ha consigliato di andare a mangiare al 68 Clooney. Oltretutto comodo perché eravamo alloggiati presso l'hotel White Horse nel quale il ristorante è inserito. Con un collega ho preso una portata per due consistente in un filetto cotto mediamente in salsa di formaggio con contorno di verdure bollite e patatine fritte. Carne di ottima qualità molto tenera. Buona la birra. Consigliabile

Just visited 68 Clooney restaurant in the White Horse Hotel on a busy Saturday evening when the hotel was buzzing. The service in the attractive restaurant was professional and faultless and the comprehensive menu made choice difficult. I finally chose the prize winning Chef Noel Ward's signature dish of locally sourced Greencastle Cod, served on a bed of spinach accompanied by delicious battered prawns. The flavours incorporated in this dish were exquisite - a truly memorable experience that I hope to repeat one day soon.

A nice spot for a good quality meal. We had being staying at the White Horse Hotel where the restaurant is situated and decided to sample the evening menu.The highlight for me was the helpfulness from the staff. From the moment we walked through the door to we left the restaurant, the staff where very friendly and generally seemed to enjoy being there unlike some places.The food was also delicious with a good choice options on the menu while the price was also a bonus. Very reasonably priced with a number of different set price per course options

My husband and I had lunch at 68 Clooney which is the bistro/restaurant part of The White Horse Hotel. The lunch menu was extensive with choices for all tastes. Not only can you choose from the menu but a 'special' carvery type meal is available. We had a very tasteful Club Sandwich (filled and with a side of fries) and the quiche with chaussaur sauce and side salad. Remember that if you're a member, you get 10% off the bill. Overall, very tasty, well presented and service was efficient. Will def return.

This is a nice welcoming hotel to walk into, typically Derry friendliness. The reception staff have been great the two times that I've eaten at this restaurant.The restaurant itself has very nice decor and I would like to go back for an evening meal there.My husband and I called in for lunch in the way to Enniskillen, I had omelette and chips and he had a steak sandwich. He was very pleased with his choice and my omelette was absolutely delicious. We both agreed that the chips were perfect. Whilst I was there I had a slight mishap when I managed to clumsily spill salt but the waiter was very nice about it and cleaned the spill up without any fuss.I had been there before with my mum and that day I had mushroom soup with wheaten bread and she had the omelette and chips. Both meals were good. I will definitely eat there again.

We visited 68 Clooney for lunch with family and friends and we weren't disappointed. Very helpful and friendly staff and the selection available on the menu was great. Most of us ended up opting for the car very buffet which was fresh and tasty. The vegetables were beautifully cooked and very fresh rather than the usual shrivelled up and dry fayre that you so often get in other places. Highly recommended.

Our meal was so disappointing with dry chicken and too much jue on the beef my plate was practically swimming. The starter was the best course with good old favourite soup on the menu. The trio of dessert was nothing special with a lemon sauce thing in a cup (I've no idea) a small biscuit base thing with what looked and tasted like angels delight on top. The third was a very dry chocolate cake which could easily have been a few days old. Overall presentation was what we paid for and it was far too expensive for such poor quality of food.

We had a perfect meal here on Saturday night. Attentive staff, excellent food. Mum said it was the best fish she has had anywhere in a long time. My steak would have melted in your mouth. It's not the cheapest restaurant and it is refreshing to see not all Derry restaurants are jumping on the 20% off bandwagon like so many in the City have! 68 Clooney charge a fair price for the meal we got - yes it is not the cheapest restaurant but the quality was second to none.Highly recommend this to anyone who wants excellent quality food in a relaxing setting. We WILL be back sooner rather than later!

68 Clooney has become the jewel in the crown in relation to a hotel that has a brilliant restaurant in its own right. Six of us dined and six of us fully satisfied. My wife and I had the sirloin steak and it was the best steak I have had in a long time. Great food, excellent service even though they had two large parties to attend to as well. Finished off with a beautiful pint of Guinness by the fire. To be recommended.....

Great choice with a good menu choice. Portions are medium size but after a starter and a main course I felt full. I did notice that the price had gone up slightly and not menu offers, but very nice food.
